May 13, 1163 Zaenium.
The Zamara Royal Park.
Morning time.
Princess Ayashe met someone near the harem palace where she lived. Although his father only had a legal wife and became queen, he had several other mistresses. And since the palace was so heavily guarded and allowed only women and eunuchs to enter, he could only meet this person outside the palace despite being eager to meet in a more comfortable place.
In a secluded corner of the garden, in a gazebo shaded by a shady tree, a person in a black Assassin robe sat on one of the gazebo chairs. Although he did not carry his weapon, as it was confiscated upon entering the palace, he was still dangerous.
His sharp eyes stared at Ayesha. He then stood up and approached her until she was stopped by one of the knights. That's when he lowered his head, imitating the formal style when greeting the noble– even though his posture was not correct because it had never been taught, his movements were still worthy of appreciation.
“Include, Your Majesty, my name is Ulbert. I am an Adventurer with Assassin class,”, Ulbert said in his head.
Ayashe seemed unconcerned about the formality Ulbert showed. The look in his eyes was no less cold. Similarly, an unexpectedly cold voice will come out of her cute mouth.
“Just get to the point. I want information about someone named Laciel. First, what's your relationship with him?”
“I've lost a trial with him,” replied Ulbert.
“Tell me full.” Behind her clothes, the Princess always wore a Necklace of Truth that could tell if anyone was lying around.
To use the Truth Necklace, the Mana Users would continue to be absorbed each time. That is why most people only wear it at certain times. Princess Ayashe was different. With the blessings of the bloodline he possessed, he possessed more Mana than ordinary people.
The shortcoming of the Necklace of Truth is that it cannot detect universal truths, only relative truths, truths known to individual people. And not universal or ultimate truth.
Like for example someone hears a rumor that someone else is a Devil, then he will be counted as the truth if he says it, even though the truth is not so.
Return to Princess Ayashe and Ulbert. Ulbert also told about his first meeting with Laciel in the Adventurers Union Building. He heard that Hana muttered that Laciel was a Devil, then spread the rumor. He was eventually arrested by Isabella de Virmanda, daughter of Count Virmanda, on defamation, lost a trial, and was eventually given a year of social service.
One of the servants came to give me a piece of paper. Ayashe read it deftly. It was the paper of Ulbert's trial won by Laciel.

“Here it is mentioned that you are sentenced to social service for a year. You escaped?” ask Ayashe.
“I feel this is unfair, Your Honor. That's why I'm asking for your justice. He is an evil Devil who can manipulate those around him,” explains Ulbert.
“You were found guilty of defamation, weren't you? How do you prove that you are not wrong?” ayashe.
“If it wasn't because he was able to manipulate, how could he possibly do such a thing.” Ulbert explained quickly and high-pitched.
“I'm sure he's a Devil spy, if not a Demon King. He must have inserted a spy into the kingdom, manipulated many people, gained a lot of information, until finally the emerging Demon Kingdom was able to win the battle easily.” Ulbert handed me a letter.
It was the original letter from the Adventurers Union about the existence of an Adventurer named Laciel and his traits. Hair and white skin, and height. Everything fits with the story of the surviving troops.
‘If it wasn't for that mask, it would have been easy to clarify his face,’ Ayashe thought.
Ayashe was immediately shocked. ‘Topeng? Does he want his face to be seen? It must be because his face was already famous, even by Nobles!’
Ayashe's eyes immediately widened. He immediately recalled the report from Marquis Harbisium.
‘The Demon King attacked the main command camp using a mask after meeting Marquis Harbisium. Although the Marquis was supposed to be in the south of the forest, but he held out in the west because his army was attacked.
‘Is it possible that he wore a mask thinking the Marquis would be in the south? That means there is information leaked so that it can be known by him. He is very dangerous to leave,’ thought Ayashe.
“According to you, who can be suspected as his spy?” ask Ayashe.
“That must be Princess Isabella and Count Sergio,” Ulbert replied.
Ayashe immediately thought quickly. ‘Count Blackwood will participate in the war. Holding it will weaken the army. Isabella. His father will go to war. Maybe that's when it's the right time to take the truth from him.’

The Royal Palace of Zamara.
After the embarrassing incident earlier– was slapped by his own mother–Zed went with the Duke of Canaria and some of the King's Advisors to his father's room. There are some things he should do.
The King's Chamber is in the center of the Harem Palace. On the way, Zed sees his sister entering the Royal Garden along with some of his servants and bodyguards. He paused for a moment, then continued his journey back.
The entrance to the King's room was different from the rest of the room. This was because all that could enter the Harem Palace were women and eunuchs. While the Kings need some people trusted to take care of some things. This is the underlying difference in the entry path.
In his father's room, he saw a sword hanging on the wall. A long two-handed golden sword with beautiful carvings. Written on it “Succeedings For Zamara” Kingdom and “Glory For King Zamara” in Zaenia.
Supposedly the Duke of the Kingdom, Gazor, took him in his last battle, the Battle of the Redwood Forest. But, for whatever reason, he didn't bring it.
Zed approached the hanged sword. The sword gave off a holy aura. However, as Zed grasped it, he grimaced in pain. His hands were burnt as a result of the fire. Unable to hold it, he dropped it. All the nobles who saw him were shocked.
Apparently, the rumors are true. A rumor was said that this Holy Sword could only be chosen by someone worthy. Other than that, it will burn his skin. Only by death can the possession of the sword be replaced.
Zed knew about it. He was just trying to make sure. Since Duke Gazor died, no one has tried.
Suddenly, the sword trembled slightly. Then it stopped a moment later before the door was knocked from the outside.
The duke of Zerestia entered the room, after knocking and being given permission, along with some of his subordinates. The moment he entered, he saw everyone who looked surprised. And some of them were still staring at the golden sword lying on the purple carpet.
The Duke of Zerestia's mind was distracted and focused on the sword. She looked at him constantly as if hypnotized. Regardless of the words of others, rather unable to hear them, the Duke of Zerestia grasped the sword and did not burn his hand. Without any rejection, the Sword had chosen him as the new Master.
Duke Canaria shouted, “Let go of the sword!” he wanted to drop the sword. However, his hand covered in iron gloves actually burned, and he grimaced in pain with an irritated face.
Looking at him, Zed just smiled.
‘The balance of power between Dukes seems to be balanced for now.’
