Sent To Isekai As Demon King's
Eps 14: Rumors That Are Circulating

The three of them had just woken up when the sunlight entered illuminated the inn room they were in. After waking up, they washed their faces, had breakfast, and then registered Nadja as an Adventurer. Then, counting the hunt they got yesterday, Laciel is now officially a C-rank Adventurer.

Their party is known as the Party Blade Tiger, after the species of animals tamed by Laciel. Everyday they fill up by hunting, becoming stronger, selling game, and raising money. And unbeknownst to others, Laciel and his party-mates visit the Red Dungeon Skull managed by Garnamtiar.

But, still, life is always filled with problems. There is a rumor circulating a lot among the citizens and the Adventurers. And the content of the rumor made many people suspect that it was true.

It was a rumor that said that Laciel was a Devil.

Laciel walked quickly towards the Blackwood Mansion Count. He knew that Isabella was staying there to recover the wounds of her army.

Two Knights are seen guarding the entrance of the mansion gate. They were wearing silver-colored armor and there was a sword on their right waist. Seeing Laciel coming towards them, they stopped him before being able to enter through the gate.

“Stop there. What do you need?” ask one of the Knights.

“I have to meet Isabella. He's inside, right?” Laciel still did not stop his steps.

“Jaga what you said! Hey, stop!” The other knights tried to get in the way.

“Laciel,” Hana calling. He and Nadja ran after Laciel from the inn. “What do you want to do?”

“Of course. Hold her accountable for spreading baseless rumors.” Laciel replied in a cold tone.

“Nona Isabella is not inside. He might be walking around town.” One of the Knights who was blocking Laciel told me.

“Then, I'll look for it.” Laciel said he was going to leave there.

“No need. Looks like he's home.” Nadja pointed at a noble horse carriage that was approaching towards the mansion.

“What is this?” asked one of the men sitting next to the coachman.

Sensing his aura, Laciel could tell that he was the subordinate that Isabella had brought in when she came to question him last night. Deputy Comadan Zirka got off the horse-drawn carriage. He looked at the two Knights guarding in front of the gate. Feeling noticed, one of the Knights replied.

“They want to meet Miss Isabella, Sir.” The answer explains the situation.

“I'm here. What is it gonna take?” isabella said from the train. His face is visible from the window.

“We need to talk.” Answer Laciel.

...*****...

They were now in the living room of the Blackwood Mansion Count. Two female servants quickly set up a table and arranged tea for the guests. The aroma of tea smelled all over the room. There are two mansion buildings belonging to Count Blackwood. One for himself and his family, and another one for the guests.

“I've heard the news.” Isabella started the conversation.

“Why did you spread it?” laciel asked in a cold tone.

“It seems there is a misunderstanding here. It wasn't me who spread those rumors.” Answer Isabella after sipping tea.

“Then who else?” Laciel was still urging him.

“Someone who told me.” Answer Isabella. “When he told her, he was kind of insistent on cracking down on you. But, of course, I don't really believe. After all, at that time I suspected that you were the one who had saved me. And thankfully my guess was right.”

Hearing him, Laciel slightly regained his senses. He was already very upset at the wrong person. “Sorry, has been bad thought.” He lowered his head.

“It's okay. If I was in your position, I would probably do that too.”

The one who asked that was Nadja. He sat down to Laciel's left.

“I'll look for him. See you around.” Laciel muttered but could be heard by everyone in the room.

“I'll help.” Typhoon Isabella. “Well, even if it's just information about the person, that's enough, right?”

Zirka, who was standing behind Isabella, whispered to him.

“Oh, yes. Once you find him, what will you do to him?” isabella asked Laciel.

“Entahlah. I haven't thought about it either.” The answer.

“If you kill him, you will be even more suspected. If you threaten her, it will only make her worse.” Added Isabella.

Looking at Laciel who was still silent, he continued, “Let me take care of him. As a Noble, I can give him a punishment for defamation.”

“It looks like it's the best. Please help.” Laciel.

...*****...

Sergio de Blackwood, ruler of Blackwood County, still works in his room. The papers before him were a matter of managing his territory on economics and law. However, what he had in mind was the cause of the explosion in the still unknown Blackwood Forest. It had been two days that he thought about it, but the answers he got were still not satisfactory to him.

He had already sent some warriors and Adventurers there, but the result was nil. There's no clue at all about who did it. All he could tell was that the explosion scorched an area of 500 meters. Everything inside the area was charred to ashes.

“Commander Argus once fought Fire Dragon there.”

That's what Dave, his butler, said. But, even though the place is the same, the time is a little less fitting. The explosion came a day after Commander Argus managed to injure the Fire Dragon. If the explosion was generated by that Dragon, then it should have been that Commander Argus could not have survived it. Then the answer must be from another monster.

The problem is ... what monsters can produce such a huge explosion? Even the explosion was stronger than the Fire Dragon who was around 400 years old. It seemed like there was an ancient monster awakening inside.

Tok

The door of the room was knocked. He was swept away in his daydream and instead left the report before him idle.

“It looks like it's time for lunch.” His murmur could only be heard by himself. “Please enter.” He told the one who knocked on the door.

The one who came was Dave. She was in her daily formal dress. A white shirt, suit, pants and tie that were all black. Even his shoes.

“Mr, Miss Isabella de Virmanda requests permission to meet. She is also together with an Adventurer and his friends.” Said Dave. His face was thin.

“Petualang? Who?” ask Count Sergio in wonder. His lunch break was wrong.

“Someone who is rumored to be able to make a Blade Tiger submit. His name is Laciel.” Answer Dave.

“Ah, okay. Then, all of you just take them all to lunch with me.” Sergio tidied the papers on his desk.

Dave then left; he himself was still thinking and wondering about the cause of the explosion in the forest two days ago.

I guess I think too much. Her thought.
