Sent To Isekai As Demon King's
Eps 28: The Redwood II ambush

Spring, 3 April 1163 Zaenium.

Coastal area of northern Redwood Forest, Duchy Zerestia, Zamara Kingdom.

Nightfall.

The Marquis Ezar de Atlanta. Someone with a proportional appearance. He had just finished a small meeting he held with his subordinates. Discussing the important things to do when something happens during her attending the Great Meeting.

Next to him was a Count, his subordinate, who had the rank of Vice General. He looks a little younger than himself. Even so, the look on his face showed that he was a professional who had been trained to obtain his current position.

“Beautiful night, right?” Marquis speaking. Staring at the night sky decorated by thousands of flickering lights of stars.

“True, Mr.” Briefly answer the Count.

“If there were no problems like this.” Marquis.

“True, Mr.” The young count answered briefly.

The two of them stood there waiting for the arrival of the horse carriage that would be used to attend the Great Meeting. The marquis himself would not leave. He had only sent the young Count as his representative. It was because he wanted to be there as a commando.

Fear, when not important people command and monsters attack, the army will be scattered and defeated. But the car was a little late.

“Where is the horse carriage? Is there a problem?” The marquis could not ask after a while of waiting.

“Do I need to come, Mister?” The young count offered himself. Although, of course, it's just a question of rhetoric. His master was just annoyed and spilled it through words. He's used to it.

“No need. That's it.” Marquis.

Then, the two of them looked towards a man in silver armor running up to them. The noise of rubbing armour sounded as he approached.

“Report, Sir. There was a little problem with his horse.” Report the Knight.

He was the coachman who should have brought his master's chariot. But, because of a problem, he was late to do so. Since the matter was not over, he chose to report this.

“What's up? Quickly say!” the Marquis asked curiously.

If it was only because of a small matter, he had already prepared a lot of remarks that would be issued. Was he so incompetent that even a small matter could not?

“All existing horses can not stand still or stop moving. They look worried and whinnying continuously.” Said the coachman.

Is that why I heard the sound of horse-hugging? The inner Marquis wondered.

“ARGH!!”

The sound of the cries of the troops sounded from the south, the direction of the Redwood Forest. Then it changed that shout into a sound like metal friction with metal. The area extends all the way south from end to end.

A Knight came up to the Marquis who was standing in front of the main tent in a row. His breathing is heavy and irregular.

“Master Marquis! Mr Marquis!” The knight called.

“What's up?!” the one who asked was the young Count.

“Monster! The monster army has attacked us!” the answer.

Jrash!

A long, curved blade had pierced through the Knight's body carrying the message. His blood spurted around until it soiled the clothes and faces of the three people in front of him. His consciousness disappeared as the blade was pulled back.

The Knight's body fell in a lifeless condition. The one who killed him was an Assassin Wraith. The creature that was like a black spirit floated not touching the ground.

“HIII!!!” the driver was screaming hysterically. He even fell down and started crawling backwards.

Even though he was a trained Knight, seeing someone killed right in front of him all of a sudden would naturally leave him so shocked that he was unable to do anything but escape.

The count came forward and pulled out a sword against the Marquis. As a Deputy General and a subordinate, he served to protect his Master even though his life was at stake.

“Hia!”

He slashed his sword. But his opponent was a dead spirit. Physical attacks will not affect him.

“Hiro, back off!” the Marquis shouted reminding him of the fact that his enemy was no ordinary enemy. “Only a Magic Caster can injure Spirit.”

Conscious, he retreated and guarded his Master as a meat shield.

“Master, we have to retreat immediately!” his suggestion.

BLARS!!!

“Groa!”

The marquis looked towards the west. There his army was fighting with an army of red-skinned Orcs. Without command, and less in terms of strength, his troops could easily be made to retreat on an ongoing basis.

Being able to command an army of many different monsters, our enemy this time is definitely a monster with extraordinary strength. The marquis thought for a moment.

“Master!” one of the newly arrived Knights called out. He brought along some other Knights and the Magicians.

On the other hand, from the army of monsters appeared several figures that looked strong and were the leaders of this army. There were some Dragons, Low-Level Demons, High Orcs, and some other monsters led by Zalfarin the Half Dragon.

“You are the Leader of these Humans, aren't you?” Zalfarin asked the Marquis.

“Master, what should we do?” Count whispering.

“There is no other option. We'll fight if that's what they want.” The answer. “True, I am Marquis Ezar de Atlanta. One of the Generals of the Kingdom of Zamara who was under the orders of Duke Zerestia.”

“Good. By killing you, it will greatly facilitate our work.” Typal Zalfarin with a cruel grin. “Everything, attack those Humans. I will kill the leader with my own hands.”

Finished his words said, the monster army that was under his command was now moving in unison to launch an attack on the Humans. Lizardman, Devil, Orc, Wraith, and Skeleton. Although their numbers were fewer, but the difference in strength was clearly visible from the army of Humans running uncontrollably.

And then, he himself intervened by darting towards the Marquis. His hand made of hard leather he used as a weapon. But a Man, the young Count, stood in his way. He used his sword and armor to protect his Master from enemy attacks.

“I won't let you! Pass my body first!” he shouted with a burning spirit.

“You're just a little mouse bothering.” Zalfarin threw out his hand, causing the Count to bounce dozens of meters away.

Maidservant!

“Uhuk!”

He only stopped after crashing into a pile of wooden boxes filled with food. His mouth spewed fresh blood. His face and entire body were blushing.

“The rats have been removed. Now it's your turn to take his life!” Zalfarin shouted and slashed out his sharp claws.

The marquis held him down with his sword and horses. Despite exerting all his strength, he was still pushed backwards. Leaving the former two straight lines on the ground that had previously been used as a foothold.

“Fireball!”

He cast a spell. But, Zalfarin had immunity against that weak attack, as well as against fire element magic. The attack he made had no effect.

“It looks like Humans are indeed very stupid and weak creatures.” Zalfarin.

Instantly, he was already in front of the Marquis with an attack ready to be launched.

“Earth Shield!”

A piece of land came up and came out of the earth. Creating a protection screen. However, it was so thin that it was able to be penetrated by Zalfarin.

Bruaks!

“Guh!”

The marquis looked down. There, that Half Dragon hand had already pierced through his body. Her chest feels very tight.

“Goodbye.”

It was the last sound he heard and remembered. Afterwards, there was only an endless black field. I don't know what's waiting for him.

After finishing business with the enemy army chief, Zalfarin flew over. Seeing the sight of his troops was slaughtering the enemy.

“Not only a very small number of enemies. In fact, the leader is also very weak.” Zalfarin muttered alone.

Just then, a Devil who was in the form of a red-skinned Goblin with a long tail and bat wings came up to him.

“Mr Zalfarin, the business here is soon done. Mr. Hazura has just ordered to help the other forces in the west and east.” He said when he was near Zalfarin.

“Good.” Answer's short.

He was still willing to feel the death, blood, and death here. At least, a little longer.
