Spring, 4 April 1163 Zaenium.
The southern Redwood Forest coastal area, Duchy Royal Capital, Zamara Kingdom.
Daytime.
After a long journey, Marquis Falimus de Harbisium had finally arrived at the main post of the Duke Royal Capital's army. Many Knights were pacing around preparing for many things. Many horse-drawn carriages carried wooden boxes of weapons, armor, and food.
The horse carriage belonging to Marquis Falimus walked directly towards the command center in the main tent. The tent was bigger than the others. Red, white and blue– are the colors found on the Royal flag. Outside were some Knights guarding the entrance.
“General Marquis Falimus de Harbisium and Deputy General Count Dafin de Emynia, have arrived!” shouted one of the Knights at the corner of the entrance of the tent.
Inside there were already a few Knights and a few more looked like a troop official had been sitting on the available seats.
“Yo, how are you, Falimus?” Duke Fazerin de Zerestia greeted lightly.
“Ah, hello, Duke Zerestia, Duke Gazor.” The marquis replied to the informal greeting.
Duke Gazor, aka Duke Royal Capital, looked at Marquis Falimus and the newly-entered Count Dafin in silence.
Sitting in one of the chairs, there was still another chair that had not been filled. Without even asking, he knew who should be sitting there.
“Did Marquis Ezar not come with you, Duke Fazerin?” asked the Marquis to open a conversation after being stared at by the Duke Gazor without saying anything.
“Ah, that, no. He told me that he wanted to do a small meeting with his troops first, and then follow later. I thought he would come with you.” Answer Duke Fazerin. “Have you no word from him yet?”
A Knight behind him replied, “Not yet, Mr.”
Just then, another Knight came and entered the tent.
“Master, Mr. Marquis of Atlanta sent a letter. He said he would only send his representative to attend the meeting.” He gave the letter to Duke Zerestia.
“Dia ..!” Duke Zerestia was furious.
It could be that his subordinates were acting alone like this. It's just like smudging his name in front of other people.
“They say that he will take care if there are monsters who plan to run away when the higher-ups are gathering.” Obviously the Knight added.
“Although so,” remarks Duke stopped by Marquis Falimus who tried to calm him down.
“Ah, it's okay, Mr. Fazerin. Even I also left Count Morsela in my army to act in case of emergency. It is understandable when he acts like such.” Marquis Falimus.
Duke Gazor remained silent listening. For him, the presence or absence of Marquis Atlanta will not change his entire plan. That was because the north and east direction was part of Duke Zerestia. So, with him, that was more than enough.
“Huft. And what about the deputy? Has it arrived?” ask Duke Fazerin.
“It ..., not yet. He should have reached this afternoon.” The Knight replied then permission to leave because he had completed his task and did not want to linger in the middle of the collection of monsters in the form of the Man.
“It looks like we can already start it now.” Duke Gazor finally spoke after a long moment of silence.
With that remark, he ended the dispute about the representative from the north, and made it clear that it was a duty for Duke Zerestia.
The meeting then began. Starting with the report of Marquis Falimus when he first came into contact with “King of the Devil” on Galatian Hill. The marquis said about the thousands of traces and traces of magic, which everyone already knew from the letter he sent. Then, hundreds of monsters disappeared in an instant. And lastly about the possibility of their existence in the Redwood Forest.
Until the afternoon, the meeting was still going on. While the Duke Royal Capital was still explaining the attack plan as well as the tactics and decisions in times of emergency, a Knight came rushing over. Supposedly, it was strictly forbidden to disturb the association of Nobles. But, seeing him dare to violate it, it meant that he brought a very important news.
“Master! The monsters have attacked! They have attacked the west side!” abugn.

Attacking while the higher-ups were gathering was a smart move that only intelligent beings could make. Their opponent this time could already be certain to be the Demon King, at least.
But, it's not the time for that. Duke Zerestia rose with a panicked face.
“How about Ezar? Any word from him?” tanyanya fret.
“Be– has no news from north. We just got the information from west.” Answer the Knight.
“How about General Azuma?”
Now the one who asked was Marquis Falimus.
“Luckily Mr. Azuma is still alive. Thanks to him, the troops in the west can still survive.”
Duke Zerestia tried to walk out, but was restrained by the words of Duke Gazor.
“If he is still safe, then he will send a message. If not, then no.”
“I'll keep looking for him.” Duke Zerestia.
However, he had yet to come out, he had already felt a killing aura directed at him.
Ctangs!
He instantly pulled out his sword and held the enemy's weapon. It was Assassin Wraith. They have some.
Bruk! Bruk!
The few Knights in front of him had already perished on the spot even before being able to do anything.
Ctangs! Ctangs! Ctangs!
Duke Zerestia could only fend off the attacks directed at him. He cannot attack or injure the Spirit except by magic. Fortunately, inside the tent were several Magicians who had already started chanting the moment they saw Wraith attack.
“Si*l! Si! Si*l!” Duke Zerestia shouted while fending off.
Feeling that his attack could not penetrate the Duke's defense, the black-eyed Wraith started to target others. Quickly, he was able to find a Human who had a great aura was idling in the corner of the tent. Dodging a few magic attacks easily, he arrived quickly in the presence of his target.
But, it seems like it was a mistake.
A slash!
With just a single sword attack that flowed with magic mana, Duke Gazor ended the Spirit's life. The rest were also quickly cleared up by the Marquis, and Duke Zerestia who was burning with emotion.
“Huft, huft. Looks like they're still a lot outside.” Marquis Falimus.

Between the summoner and the summoned monster there is a bond between them. The bond will disappear when the one called is dead. And the summoned monster will disappear, returning to its original place, if the summoning dies. That's the rule in this world.
And now, Laciel felt his bond with some of those Wraiths disappear simultaneously. That means, those Wraiths have been defeated. But, he doesn't care about that. He can summon the other monsters later. All he cared about was the fact that the person who defeated them was someone strong. He felt excited after knowing there was a suitable opponent for him since his arrival to this world.
