Sent To Isekai As Demon King's
Eps 22: Standby Status

Laciel, Hana, Nadja, and Nameer were walking in the dark forest. Leading in front was Nadja who looked like she was looking for something.

“It looks like here.” His words spread silence.

“Actually, what are we looking for?” ask Hana.

The question Laciel was also eager to ask from the start, but he held it back and let Nadja tell him when the time came.

“Arwah whose body has died, and the body which the spirit has left.” Answer Nadja.

“What do you want to do?” asked Laciel who couldn't hold it anymore.

“Laciel,” Nadja calling.

“Ya?”

“You are a Devil, aren't you?”

“True.” Laciel replied briefly.

“Then call the Devil.” Her speech. “I don't know how you can summon a Dragon and a Half Dragon. But you should be able to summon Devils whose level is slightly below yours, just as I summoned species similar to mine with weaker powers.” Further.

“Then, why do we have to find a place where there are spirits and dead bodies?” ask Hana.

“How do I call it, yes?” Nadja seemed to think hard. Her cute face seemed to become even more cute as she thought. “Devil is a Devil. And monsters are monsters. But sometimes, monsters that possessed great power would gain some sort of recognition as Demon Lords. Like me for example.”

“Laciel is a Devil with great power. He could even do Summon against the ones that were not his spepies. So he should be able to summon other Devils. Nevertheless, there is a possibility that it will fail, albeit slightly. So, we are here so that Laciel can use the power of the spirit and the corpse, then turn it into Ghost or Wraith and Undead, Zombie or Skeleton, as a backup plan.” Nadja.

Ah, so. Laciel finally understood. It is very similar, no, even the same, to the system in the game. It is true, at the beginning of the game, I started my character with the Undead race. I chose Undead of course because I thought about it carefully. Many advantages are obtained compared to choosing other race monsters, such as Skeleton, or Wraith.

But, doing something I've never done or seen? How-to? Laciel thought for a long time.

The magic? A spell? Neat? A say? The language?

Wait, the spells used in the game and in this world use programmed language. That means, by changing a little in the part of the monster to be summoned, then the result is different. Therehewas. Laciel was overjoyed as if winning a quiz and laughing.

“Laciel, what's up?” ask Nadja.

The two of them were shocked by Laciel who suddenly daydreamed to himself then laughed as if possessed by Jin. Wait, can the Devil be possessed by Jin?

“Ah, no, no. Its alright. I just managed to find a way. Now, witness my true power.” He said with confidence.

He then read Summon's magic spell, and changed it slightly in some parts. He also recited the Mana Recovery magic spell to restore his mana that was lost due to the chanting of the spell.

The result will take a lot longer. But it is very efficient to use at once.

A magic circle, no, several at once, appeared and surrounded Laciel. The blue-colored magic circle under his feet was the result of the Mana Restoration magic spell. Then there were three black circles, one large, and two smaller ones, revolving around Laciel.

The spell is done. Then, the ground shook. The birds were flying and chirping in panic. The city guards and some residents woke up in a panic.

From the trembling ground came an army of Skeletons, and the rest were Wraiths. Skeletons, some of you must have known, are monsters that rise from the dead and form skulls. Wraiths are monsters born of death and are ghost-like. Their numbers all reached tens, almost a hundred.

Some have mutated. This is the effect of Laciel's experiment naming them randomly. And it worked.

The skeleton that mutated into a huge skull monster, and collected from several pieces of bones of living beings. There are several skulls visible on his knees, hips, chest, and shoulders. In addition, there was a pair of tusks behind his back. There were a few others who mutated as well, but not too conspicuous as it seemed.

On the other hand, was a mutated Wraith. There were three Wraiths that looked like Magic Casters, while others were seen using swords. Then, in the middle is one Wraith that looks quite tall and large. A purple aura gleamed around him. In each of his hands, he grasped a dagger that emitted a purple color as well.

Then, from a last magic circle, appeared before Laciel, kneeling a Devil. His body was bright red as if it was made of magma. The trident spear he grasped looked extremely intimidating. It was even longer than his own height. Its two horns are long and curved backwards upwards.

Around him were four Imp-like creatures. The color of the skin is dark red. It has a wide pair of wings, long horns, and a curved tail.

In front of Laciel, they all bent their knees.

Nightfall.

“What happened?” asked Marquis Falimus who was wearing a thin nightgown made of silk.

“There is a vibration, Sir. It was originally sourced from Galatia Hill in the north.” Answer one of the Knights before the Marquis.

“What cause is known?” ask while walking. Hinted for those Knights to follow him.

“Not yet. We just sent some Knights and are waiting for the report.”

They walked down a dimly lit hallway to the study. At his doorstep were four Knights standing guard.

Inside the room were already present the four subordinate Counts of the Marquis, including Count Dafin. They were seen waiting in a state of uneasiness over this unknown situation.

“When will the sent Knights report?” The marquis immediately asked as soon as he sat down in his chair.

“It should not be much longer.” Said the Knight who was still following him.

He was the Knight General of the Marquis's subordinate. His department can even be equated with the Count who helps manage his territory. It was also because he was the Count Royal Family, so he could enter the room.

It's a serious situation, and we can only wait, huh? The Inner Marquis could not calm down as there was nothing he could do.

“According to you, what happened? Is the Empire that wants to cause chaos or is there something else?” The marquis asked just to liven up the atmosphere.

“There is a possibility that this is the work of the Empire, Mr.” Said one of the Counts.

“No. The Empire has pride. They couldn't possibly do something this dirty.” The other timpal.

“Maybe they are bored and using cunning ways?”

“Master, I have a hypothesis.” Count Dafin.

Everyone then looked towards him.

“What is it?” The Marquis' question represented every person's mind in the room.

“Galatia Hill was a battlefield in the past. No one disagrees if it is called that the hill itself is a giant tomb.” His words were silenced to the sign that everyone agreed. “Most likely, the bodies and spirits of those past wars manifested into monsters and are only waking up now.”

“It's true.”

“Can be.”

Calls justifying sounding.

The Marquis and his General were silent. Thinking of every possible possibility, and it all further proved the truth of Count Dafin's words.

“Do we need to set up a team now?” The marquis made a sound after the silence that was created.

“Prepared before anything happens is a matter of discretion, Mr.” The general's voice supports.

“General Azuma, prepare an army and strengthen the defense in the northern fortress. Send three scouting squads as soon as possible.” The marquis gave the order.

“Siap. Execute.” Reply General.
