Tok tok tok tok
Someone knocked on his bedroom door.
“Young Mona, it's me, Zirka.” Say the person behind the door.
“Log in,” says Isabella.
He was now reading a book in the left corner of the room provided by Count Blackwood to him. A candle was lit next to him because the sky was already reddish in color and the sun was about to set soon.
“Excuse me,” Zirka said as she entered her master's daughter's room.
“How? What do you already know?” ask Isabella. All he asked was the result of finding out about the two adventurers related to the Blade Tiger.
“Good, Young Miss.” Zirka stood up while reading a paper before her. He had actually memorized the contents, but he had still read them so that there would be no mistake whatsoever. “One of the members of the group was a 17-year-old girl named Hana. He was a fairly famous C Rank Adventurer here. His nickname was the Ice Witch, although ice was not an element he mastered. It is nicknamed so because of its very cold nature and rarely talks to others. In addition, he often hunts alone.”
“Then, the other one?” Isabella closed the book she was reading.
“There is more additional information. He is rumored to have eyes that can see and measure a person's magic power.” Zirka.
“Hmm. Is that why he hunts alone because there is no one who thinks he is strong and has just formed a party?” ask Isabella. If the other one is able to hook this Hana, then he must be very strong, right? And it has been proven through his pet who is dubbed as the King of the Forest.
“Most likely, yes. The other one is a young man. Her age was uncertain as she wore a robe and hood at all times, but seemed to be slightly older than Hana. She just signed up as an Adventurer yesterday.”
“Then, in the afternoon, he had already brought home Blade Tiger as his mount?”
“True.” Answer Zirka.
*The time is very coincident. This must not be a coincidence.*Isabella thought that the young man who had just registered as an Adventurer was the one who saved her yesterday in the Blackwood Forest.
“I think that we were saved by him yesterday.” Isabella.
Zirka, who heard it, was shocked. “I– That's no possibility. In addition, I have also brought someone who said that he has confidential information about the two of them.”
Isabella was interested in hearing that. Any useful information could help him piece together this puzzle and uncover his true identity.
“Bring him here.” Isabella's orders to Zirka.
“Good, Young Miss.”
Zirka came out of Isabella's room for a while, and brought two soldiers to stand guard in front of the room in addition to security and someone in a black robe with her.
“Greetings, Miss. My name is Ulbert. I am a C Rank Adventurer who has the job Assassin.” He introduced himself.
“Just get to the point. Then, what do you have?” ask Isabella.
“He he's. Before that, can you promise will reward me for this information?” The man spoke with a smiling face. But his smile just looks scary.
“Good. So, what do you know?” Isabella agreed to the terms.
“He he's. As an Assassin, I have the power to strengthen all the senses I have. In fact, hearing the conversation of the person in the next room was possible for me. Then, this morning, at the Adventurers Union Building, I heard something very surprising. Because it is so unbelievable, I haven't told anyone else about this.” Said recounting.
“What do you hear?”
“Hana, a friend of his group, murmured that he, the one with whom he was a group, was a Devil. I can guarantee that. He says, ‘Basic, Devil.’”
Hearing her words, Isabella could not believe it. A devil? A creature that brings destruction? There is no way he is a devil.
“No. I don't believe it. Even though you heard it, it might just be a curse or a curse.” Isabella said with a face of disbelief.
“He he's. As expected, you will say so. But, what I heard is what it is.” Defend that guy.
“Go. Bring this money.” Isabella gave me a bag of coins. “Do not spread this. You will only be labeled as a liar and a slander.”
Coming out with the coin, Ulbert had an exasperated facial expression. He doesn't put much importance on the money. He is more concerned with the information he has. If he doesn't believe, then it's okay. After all, his actions all along were very suspicious. It would be dangerous if there were free Devils roaming this city.
“I don't trust him. If he is a Devil, then why would he save us?” isabella was upset.
“But, Young Miss, there is a possibility that she is a different person.” Zirka. The look on his face was still shocked after hearing Ulbert's words.
“No. I'm sure he's the same guy. The time is very coincidental. I'll make sure of it myself.” Isabella said and prepared to go out.
“Young Miss, where do you want to go night-night?” zirka asked worried about what her master's daughter would do.
“I'll go to the Adventurers Union Building. You will escort me alone.” Answer Isabella who is already wearing a brown robe that looks mediocre. Not good, not bad either.
