Petperma 11: Loud Sound in the Midnight

*The Adventures of the First Empress (Petperma)*

The village is called Stormeggland. It is located not far west of Mount Stormpole. The residents of Stormeggland Village can be grouped into three groups based on their physical characteristics.

First, people who have a large physique with high yellow hair and large noses are sharp, the skin is reddish white. This group is actually residents of immigrants who choose to live in the village. They are called by the locals as Golden Hair.

Second, people who are small or black-haired black, with an average width and nose is quite sharp, but not as tall as the first group. Men like not to wear clothes, only wear gloves that are made like pants. Residents of this group are generally people of the lower class or poor. The average person is a fisherman or a garden worker. They were called the Salt People.

Third, people who are small and medium in stature, but have clean white skin and slightly narrowed eyes. Women like to wear thick powder on both cheeks. Both the men and women were well dressed and always had ornaments on their limbs. They always wear turbans and they are in gloves. They are known as the Dragons, a large family of officials, businessmen, businessmen and landowners and others, which can be identified as being among the precious and bears.

They have houses made of stone. Since the arrival of the Golden Hair people, their wooden houses were converted into stone houses. This was done because the area was often hit by storms. However, there are still some wooden buildings that are maintained so that they do not forget the culture and customs. The house of the tribal elders is still original from wood and built solidly.

After a big storm for half a day, residents went back out of their homes and resumed activities. Only, their surroundings became muddy muddy due to the heavy rain. The trenches that the village had even overflowed, causing flooding in the area around the trench.

“Kan Lwin, go check the village condition!” the command of a half-century white man. He was wearing a white shirt and dark red. The victim is also white. The man with the narrow eyes was Kodawgyi Arkar Denpo. The name Kodawgyi indicates that he was a royal prince born to the king's youngest wife.

Behind him stood a young man dressed in black who was impressed as a soldier, though he was also gloved and black-faced. He holds a special weapon of the area called the dha iwe weapon, a long curved one-eyed sword that resembles a katana belonging to Empress Kusuma Dewi.

“Good, Kodawgyi,” said a young man named Kan Lwin. He is a handsome young man of stature.

After saluting the Village Chief, Kan Lwin then rushed down from the wooden house. He went to check the condition of the village after the storm.

Time passed until the darkness of the night covered nature. The light is visible in every house.

However, at midnight. When the villagers of Stormeggland fell asleep in silence, suddenly….

Yaw!

How surprised Kodawgyi Arkar Denpo in his sleep. Suddenly he woke up sitting from his sleep because of the sound of a very loud scream. His wife also quickly woke up with a face flinched in fear.

“What's that sound, Kodawgyi?” ask his wife, Mya Aye Daw.

“Come,” replied Kodawgyi.

Yaw! Yaw! Yaw!

Suddenly the very loud sound that was the crashing of the giant eagle was heard again three times a month, giving a tense horror feel.

The crackling by Gimba in the middle of the night woke up all the residents of Stormeggland Village. The crack even pierced the ear. In some houses, there were sounds of babies crying loudly.

A number of men immediately came out of their houses carrying bamboo torches. They immediately gathered together and asked each other questions, which they could not answer.

Kodawgyi immediately came out of his room in full clothes. He carries a dha iwe sword which is usually carried by his personal bodyguard.

“Don't worry, it's just a sound,” Kodawgyi said Arkar Denpo, then stepped towards the outside.

The mother's son followed their father immediately.

When Kodawgyi Arkar Denpo opened the front door, it turned out that on the terrace was already standing Ariz Win, the personal guard. Kodawgyi Arkar Denpo then gave his sword to be carried by Ariz Win. Near the stairs were two armed men of dha iwe standing guard.

From several directions, came citizens who each carried a torch. They immediately gathered in the courtyard of the Village Chief's house. Their faces showed tension.

For that moment, the sound of the Jungle tearing on Stormpole Mountain was no longer heard.

“The voice is from the mountain, Kodawgyi!” a man with yellow hair and a yellow beard. The half-century-old gloved man was named Ducken Pert. He was the leader of the Golden Hair people.

“Are you guys going to the mountain in dark conditions like this?” ask Kodawgyi Arkar Denpo.

“If it's just a sound, we better wait tomorrow morning to see it!” kan Lwin. “I'm worried if we force ourselves up, it will actually harm.”

“I'm suspicious!” sahut a black man without clothes and only gloved. He was large in stature with both big arms and a fat but well-striped belly. His black face was barely visible if there was no flame light. His wide, modeled eyes bulged, giving the impression of a rogue with a thick, transverse mustache. His name is Abhoy Danu.

“What do you mean, Abhoy?” ask Kodawgyi Arkar Denpo.

“I suspect the Golden Hair people know what sound it is,” replied Abhoy Danu.

Abhoy Danu's words made the yellow-haired men snort to show offended faces.

“Explain what you mean, Abhoy!” yell out Ducken Pert angry.

“Don't you guys have a secret cave up there. We all don't know, what you are doing and what you have up there,” said Abhoy Danu.

“Kodawgyi Arkar Denpo has already seen and knows what we are doing in our cave!” ducken Pert.

Yaw! Yaw! Yaw!

Suddenly again came the sound of loud and piercing Jungle tearing of the eardrum. They all squealed because of how tight the sound was. After the sound of the three-times hooting stopped, they all looked far towards the mountain, but all they saw was darkness.

“Not that like the sound of a crow?” san San Htay told his father.

“See it!” shouted one of them while pointing to the dark sky above the mountain.

“Hah!”

Surprised all of them when they saw the appearance of a small object lit up from the sky. It rushed towards the mountain. The smallness of the object and the darkness of the night make the foreign object only look like a hotspot.

The appearance of objects from the sky made the atmosphere more tense. They all concluded that something was happening on the mountain. (BH)
