75. DIFFERING OPINIONS

Katerina wrapped her hands around Zyano's waist. She buried her face into the chest of her husband's field while closing her eyes. Faintly Katerina could hear Zyano's heartbeat. His heart warmed up too.

"Darling, why are you hm?" Tanya Zyano was about to let go of her embrace but Katerina actually tightened her embrace even more. As if I didn't want to take it off.

"Let it be like this first, Zyan. I want to hug you for a while." said Katerina softly but still heard.

"It doesn't matter either, baby. You're free to hug me as you please." Zyano replied, peeping at the top of Katerina's head while gently stroking her back.

Katerina chuckled small. She closed her eyes, enjoying her husband's warm, soothing embrace. A few minutes passed but Katerina was still silent. There was no conversation between the two.

Zyano just let his wife hug him. To be honest she felt a little strange with Katerina's attitude that suddenly hugged her like this but Zyano didn't want to bother. He enjoyed it too.

"Zyan." call Katerina slowly.

"Hm?"

"I have one request."

Zyano's forehead shriveled. "What?"

"I want you to drop your charges against Andi Cristopher." Katerina asked surprisingly.

Zyano reflexively released his embrace. "Huh? What do you mean, honey?"

"I want you to drop your charges so that Andi Cristopher can be released from prison" Katerina said.

"Are you crazy, Kate?" asked Zyano astonished. He did not understand why his wife suddenly asked for something crazy.

"Please calm down, Zyan. I have a reason why I asked you to do that." said Katerina to calm Zyano who was about to get angry.

Zyano sighed. "Well, tell me first what's the reason? Don't confuse me, honey."

"Let's sit down first, Zyan." ask Katerina to pull Zyano's hand to sit on the bed.

Katerina exhaled a long breath. "I actually have a plan. I want to make an offer with Olivia and her mother."

"What offer?"

"I will release Andi from prison but on the condition that they have to hand over the power of attorney of the company to me which has been signed directly by Andi so that I can be the permanent President of the Cristopher company." katerina explained her plan.

"So, you want to take that company?" ask Zyano.

"Yes but I need your help, Zyan. Because you're the one who reported me to prison. That means only you can drop the charges."

"But it's too risky, baby. Do you think Andi is willing to sacrifice his company? Even if he agrees and eventually gets out of prison it's even more dangerous. He could have hurt you later. I don't want that to happen!" zyano was worried.

"I know, Zyan. I've thought about it and I'm ready to bear the risk." said Katerina sure. He was determined to do anything so that his revenge mission was successful while proving himself worthy of being with Zyano.

"But I disagree, Kate. I won't let you be in any danger let alone get you hurt" Zyano strongly denied. He did not want to take a big risk because Katerina could be in danger.

"Zyan, please understand. I have a reason to do this."

"But this is too dangerous, Kate. You know your father can do anything. He even killed your real father. I can't just let her go free. He's a threat to you, Kate."

"I know, Zyan. That's why I want revenge. They have to lose everything they have. One by one I will seize them all." said Katerina clenched her hands tightly. His eyes were emitting a great grudge.

"Sorry, Kate. My decision will remain the same. I can't let him out of jail. He's too dangerous for you."

"But sooner or later he'll be free, Zyan. His sentence was only two months. Have you forgotten?!" sarcasm Caterina.

"I can increase his sentence!"

Katerina. "What do you mean?"

"Too many crimes your father committed, Kate. He once embezzled company funds for his own benefit. Not only that he also did illegal cooperation without the knowledge of other shareholders and earned his own benefits. I have all the evidence." Zyano said surprisingly.

"Jeez, Kate." Zyano nodded his temples dizzy. He did not understand why Katerina suddenly wanted to do this. It was not that Zyano was unwilling to help but he was just afraid that Katerina would be in danger if she released Andi from prison.

Katerina held her husband's hand. "Zyan, please understand. I'm not doing this for no reason. You believe me, right?"

Zyano breathed a heavy sigh. He looked at Katerina seriously. "Darling, I really believe in you but this time I disagree. I can help you get that company but not get Andi out of jail!"

"That means you don't believe me, Zyan!" Sarkas Katerina snapped. "If you really believe in me, you should support me! Butwhat? You don't even agree."

"It's different, Kate. I can support you in every way but not in this way!" refute Zyano.

Zyano continued his words. "Taking Andi out of jail is like opening a chance for him to hurt you again! Last time he hurt your neck to get cooperation. Then, what else is it?!" snapped Zyano firmly.

Katerina smiled blandly. "I thought you understood what I wanted, Zyan but it wasn't."

"What do you mean, Kate?"

"You have everything, Zyan. Money, power, office and position. Whatever you want is not a difficult thing to achieve. But different from me. I'm a nobody. I have nothing to be proud of. I'm just a lucky person to marry you, Zyan!" said Katerina let out her heart that had been hidden.

"What are you talking about, Kate? asked Zyano not understanding why Katerina suddenly said such a strange thing.

"You may never think about it, Zyan but I always think about it. I am just an ordinary person who has nothing. And you have everything. Then, is it appropriate for someone like me to be with you?"

"Why did you think of that, Kate? Didn't I say it clearly! I don't care about any of that. I have my own judgment!"

"You don't care but you close your eyes, Zyan!" Sarcas Caterina. He continued his words. "Maybe you don't have a problem with that, but not with me! I can accept when others insult me but I can't let them insult you and the Brawitama family."

"I don't care about anyone else's judgment of me, Zyan, but I can't be quiet when this family is insulted just for having a useless son-in-law like me. I don't want to be a burden on the Brawitama family!"

"YOU'RE NEVER A BURDEN, KATE!" snapped Zyano strongly denied.

He got up from his seat and stood before Catherine. "You're my wife, Kate. No matter who insulted you, it would also mean insulting me!"

"Therefore I don't want to humiliate you anymore, Zyan. I don't want them to insult you just because I'm a wife who has nothing. The daughter who was abandoned by her own father. Everyone would say that I'm just lucky to be able to marry a great man like you. But that's a fact, right?" asked Katerina smiling wryly. Even though she tried not to care it still bothered her.

"ENOUGH! I don't want to hear it anymore!" snapped Zyano furiously.

"You must be sick of hearing that, right? So did I, Zyan."

"Not that, Kate. I just don't like it when you put yourself down." Zyano said.

"But that's the fact! You can't ignore that fact, Zyano!" sternly Katerina wanted Zyano to understand. He deliberately provoked Zyano's anger in order to understand his wishes.

"Enough! I don't think this conversation can go on anymore. I don't want to argue with you and I also have a job. You go to bed first." said Zyano out of his room.

Tests

Katerina's tears just fell. She stared at her husband's back, which was barely visible anymore. Katerina sat weakly on the bed.

"Sorry, Zyan. I don't want to walk behind you. But I want to stand beside you so you won't be ashamed. For that I will try hard even though it is difficult." muttered Katerina biting her lips held sobs.
