The sound of a step made the ef jerk from his sleep. He glanced at the watch, still at 4 in the morning.
Ef shook the body of Lin who was still asleep in his lap. The girl's eyes opened.
“There comes, you wake up Hamish and Maya. You guys hide in the room and don't make a sound.” Ef gave the instructions in a soft voice. Lin immediately got up and walked while squatting towards Hamish, while Ef grabbed his weapon and walked out of the back door.
The sound of the move came from the main road of the village. Ef began to settle closer to the source of the sound and away from the house they made a place to rest.
From the back corner of the house, Ef could see four people walking into the village gate. The darkness of the night limits the view to observe more detail. He could not distinguish the four people that were Hell Game participants or the troops that were in the forest earlier this afternoon.
The longer the four people got closer and almost arrived in front of the first house. Suddenly they stopped walking, then walked slowly across the street. The four of them entered the house opposite the first house.
A few minutes Ef waited for the movement of the four people. The house remained dark, only the porch lights were dimly lit. This means that the four of them deliberately did not turn on the light switch.
After about half an hour, there was no movement. Eph returned to the house which they had made a place of rest.
“There are enemies?” Hamish immediately asked when Ef had just entered.
“There were four people who entered the house at the base of the village. I don't know for sure who they are, we still have to be vigilant.”
Then I went into the room. There Lin and Maya sat leaning against the wall while hugging their weapons.
“For a while it is still safe, just don't make an uproar. If you want to go back to sleep, it's okay. I'll keep watch.”
“They were the team that was this afternoon what was the participant of Hell Game?” ask Lin.
“Not yet know. But whoever they are. Still threatening.” Ef crouched in front of Lin. “I borrowed your gun to monitor them. You hold this just in case.” Ef handed over his weapon and took Lin's sniper rifle.
“I will accompany you,” Lin is about to rise, but Ef prevented him first.
“No need. You stay right here. If you want to help, you are quite packed and look for objects in this house that are useful for us.”
Ef left the room and walked towards the front of the house. He slid a table near the window. Then put the bipot together on the table. The muzzle of the rifle leads to the house that entered the four people earlier.
The sun began to appear at 7 a.m. For three hours Ef monitored the house, not seeing any signs of movement. The direction of the sun rising from the back of the house also makes monitoring more difficult. The view through the telescope becomes glare.
Just now Ef stretched out his arms to relax the muscles of the arms and shoulders. Suddenly the window of the house opened from inside. Direct focus to the telescope.
A bald-headed man stood behind the window while yawning many times. On the man's neck was a blue-colored cloth, so Ef could not see if his neck was wearing a participant's necklace or not.
The man looked to look at Ef for a moment, then he disappeared in.
Did he see Ef who was monitoring? Supposedly at such a great distance - almost a hundred meters - He would not be able to see Ef who was behind the glass window. Especially with the naked eye without a tool such as binocular or telescope, it is almost impossible for him to see clearly.
Ef was about to move when the man returned to the side of the window. This time he opened the lower window. He was holding a cup in his right hand. It turned out that he disappeared just a moment ago to grab a warm drink.
Long ago the man stood there, whistling leisurely while occasionally sipping the contents of the cup he was carrying. Ef continued to observe the motion of the man through the telescope.
Suddenly the sound of glass breaking, Ef turned to the source of the sound. The glass on his left side was shattered by the throwing of an iron ball that was now rolling on the floor. He jumped away and ran inward.
“AWAS BLAST!”
A loud explosion was heard just seconds from Ef's screams lying on the floor to protect himself. Just as he was about to get up, a barrage of gunfire hit the wall of the house.
“Get me my gun!”
Lin immediately handed over Ef's assault rifle.
“Moving to back!”
Ef then fired a retaliatory shot at the outside. He did not mean to hit an opponent who was somewhere, but the shot earlier to give his comrades a chance to retreat.
“You guys stay on standby here. I'm out, shoot whoever comes in.” Ef then reattaches the communication radio to his ear and moves it out.
Several times Ef swore annoyed at being fooled by cheap tricks. The man who was plontos was indeed aware of the existence of Ef. He stood there to keep Ef focused on him while his other comrades began to approach, and attacked.
Arriving outside, Ef waits for them to open fire again to find out their position. But apparently, they did not fire again.
“They are trained. You guys find a hard hiding place.don't peek through the window” Ef gave instructions over the radio.
“Where is my rifle?” heard Lin from the earphones.
“I live in the front room. Don't take it. Dangerous!”
Ef then moves to the left while continuing to observe the area across. Look for the possible position of the opponent hiding in one of the houses across there.
Finally Ef had to speculate, he decided to move towards the first house where the plontos was waiting. And opened fire on that house.
Sure enough, Ef's shot was fired. From the front and also from ten o'clock. Ef can conclude that the plontos is still in the house and his partner is in another house.
By staying fixed Ef moved forward. He hid behind a wall and then threw a hand grenade across the street. A loud explosion was heard as a scream of pain.
Again a series of shots were fired towards Ef. He had to keep himself close to the wall so as not to become an easy target for hot lead. No more replies from the front. Looks like the plontos was indeed affected by the explosion.
EF then focused to the left. He could see three people moving from one house to another. Ef aiming towards the window. Before long appeared the head that tried to peek. A bullet from Ef's rifle went straight through the spy's head.
Staying 2 on one, Ef began to dare to move closer. He kept his body by moving through the sides of the house. The shadow is again visible and Ef immediately opens fire.
A few moments later the atmosphere became quiet. No more gunshots. Ef has won the battle, all the opponents have fallen.
With care Ef crossed the road. In the third house from the right, there was a body of a man with a head covered in blood. Ef then moves towards the fourth house. Two people were already lying on the floor with hollow bodies.
Ef approached the two corpses in front of him, and examined their necks. Sure enough, their necks were not wearing necklaces. Both bodies were tattooed. They were not participants, but troops from Hell Game.
“Aman, they've been killed.” Ef spoke on the radio.
“You where?” Lin's voice sounded nervous.
“I'm at home opposite you guys.”
Ef took the time to take the magazines on the vest of the two corpses and examined the pockets of the two humans who had just become corpses before moving out of the house. Ef had just stepped through the door when a cold iron stuck to his temple.
It turns out that the plontos is not dead.
