Lin woke up from sleep when he heard the squeaking sounds of small birds putting each other down. Even when she woke up, the girl closed her eyes. His mind wandered into a sweet memory before going to bed last night. And right now he was hoping to get a good morning from the man who had been holding him all night.
Lin squirmed with his eyes closed, he wanted Ef to feel his body movements and say hello. He wanted the man's face to be the first sight as his eyes opened.
One second, two, three.., but the greeting Lin was waiting for did not come. Looks like Ef's still sleeping. So it was Lin who had to say hello the first time.
However, when the girl opened her eyes, the hope she had built up in mind evaporated instantly. His initial gaze was pounded on the roof made of grass, even it turned out that his head was already strapped to a backpack, not sleeping on Ef's lap anymore, and the man had disappeared somewhere.
Lin circulated his gaze, in front of Maya had already begun to wriggle. Then Maya pats Hamish to wake up.
Lin hurriedly got up, although his head still felt heavy. He still expects the ‘good morning’ greeting from Ef to be the first word that goes into his ear. Maya had risen, not wanting to miss Lin also got up and moved out of the gap.
The team leader was making a bonfire outside. He was squatting blowing embers to light up. Her hair and face looked wet, she looked very fresh this morning.
“Good morning, Ef. You always sleep last and wake up the earliest.” Lin gasped as Maya greeted Ef first. Ef raised his head for a moment.
“Good morning, Maya.”
Lin's face began to turn red, it turns out that the first good morning that came out of the CIA agent's mouth was actually addressed to Maya. Lin was the first to come out. It should be that even though Ef was looking down, he could still see Lin's shoes standing in front of the stone door.
Okay, he just doesn't like to say hello because Maya said hello first.
Lin still believed, the next Ef would greet him. Given what happened to them last night, Ef would now definitely put it first.
“Good morning, Capt. Have you warmed up our breakfast?”
Lin glanced towards his left, Hamish came out of the gap while yawning a few times.
“Good morning, Bro. Heating up breakfast is your job. I just lit a campfire.” Ef and Hamish then laughed.
Where's the funny thing? Benak Lin began to rebel. The first good morning words he expected had evaporated. He will be the last man Ef greeted this morning. All the romantic happenings last night meant nothing. Even Hamish who snores like a tiger was first greeted.
Lin clenched his feet violently, then he turned towards the spring.
Ef saw Lin's awkward gurgle, but he was still a bit stiff to greet the girl. Given how embarrassing it was what he almost did to the girl last night. He seemed to be taking advantage of a weak girl who was in need of protection. Finally, Ef prefers to take the bacon, tuck it into the bamboo clasp and stick it to the ground. He deliberately spaced his bacon into the campfire so that the flame could not touch his breakfast. Because he wants to eat smoked meat, not charcoal meat.
Fifteen minutes had passed, the smoked meat and the canned corned beef were ready to be their breakfast. But Lin hasn't shown up yet.
“Maya, try you call Lin.” Ef asked Maya because it could be that Lin is taking a bath. It's not good if he calls. Lin would definitely be more comfortable if it was a fellow woman who met him.
Maya gets up and moves towards the spring without protest. But a few moments later he came back with an anxious face.
“Lin none in springs!”
Ef stood up and ran towards the spring. It's true what Maya said, Lin wasn't there. Ef circulated a look looking for the possibility of where the girl was going. From the position of these springs, the only way Lin could possibly go without passing through them was simply to go down.
“You wait here. Stay alert. I'll find Lin.”
Ef jumped over a rock and plunged down. He's darting as fast as he can. His mind began to expand everywhere. Lin could have gone far and been caught by the opposing team. While going down the stream of springs, Ef noticed the ground. There's a shoe trail on the muddy ground. It was Lin's footsteps. Ef continued to move until he arrived at the edge of the hill. Below is a shallow river filled with coral. But Ef could not see clearly down because it was blocked by a lush bush.
When Eph was only half down the hill, his eyes were wide with a view that was a hundred meters ahead. His chest suddenly rumbled, his blood bubbling for a moment.
Lin was lying on the rocks with a man holding his hand and smothering his mouth. The girl seemed to be thrashing as another man tried to pass the girl's trousers through the legs.
Ef felt his waist, but the gun wasn't there. Due to the rush of chasing Lin he left without a weapon. Only the dagger was still hanging on his right thigh. He also did not wear a radio communication to call Hamish. He could no longer buy time because Lin's safety and honor were on the edge.
Ef grabbed the rock and ran as fast as he could towards Lin. The two men were surprised by Ef's sudden presence. The man who was trying to take off Lin's pants stood up and grabbed the weapon lying on the rocks.
Ef's blood bubbled up as he recognized the man's face. They were the two people Ef let go of yesterday. The way the man was pointing a gun was still the same as yesterday, still very amateurish. The barrel swayed indistinctly towards Ef who was running closer and closer. Ef takes a zig zag step to avoid the shot. And when the man was within range of throwing, Ef removed the stone in his hand and hit the man's left hand. His finger accidentally pressed the trigger and fired a gun at the rock not far from Ef.
Ef had to hide behind a boulder, waiting for the momentum to strike back.

The voice that Ef was waiting for sounded, the man had run out of ammunition. Quickly Ef again threw the stone and ran quickly towards the man. The man was putting a bullet into the magazine in a hurry when Ef's dagger stuck in his thigh. The man's groans grew louder as the second strike targeted his right hand.
The first man groaned, and Ef kicked the man's head until he sprawled. Then Ef turned to attack the second man who was hiding behind Lin's body. The man pointed a gun at Lin's head.
“BACK, OR THIS WOMAN'S HEAD I SHOOT!”
He stood facing the man. He held a weapon with trembling hands. Plastered also in front of Ef's eyes, Lin who stood up with a look of fear. The woman was only wearing a bra, and her pants had already dropped to half a knee.
Eph's blood is still bubbling. But he must be able to act appropriately and quickly. Otherwise Lin's life is in danger.
“You remember what I taught you a few days ago.” Ef speaks Indonesian. “Serang kemalaya in a matter of three.”
Ef could only bet Lin could act as expected.
“One...,”
“Two..,”
“Three!”
Eph attacked, the man fell into a rage and pointed his weapon at Ef. It was then that Lin turned around and attacked the man's lower organ with his knee.
The man groaned, a split second later a hard punch struck his jaw and made the man fall. Gun's off.
The man was still trying to grab his weapon, but Ef's dagger was faster to stab the back of his hand.
The man's agonizing screams filled the wilderness, but Ef's countenance had not softened at all.
“Lin, close your eyes and ears!”
“Ke-why?”
“Do it.” Ef's voice was cold. Lin had never heard Ef speak like this. He was only able to obey, close his eyes and close both ears.
At that time Ef also cut tendon veins in the armpit and behind the two knees of the man earlier. Then he turned to the first man who was sprawled. Ef slipped his dagger in the man's armpit, and held his head up against him.
“Today I forgive you, now you're dealing with the devil.”
Ef pulled his dagger slowly, the pull of it hit the tendon muscle in the man's armpit until it broke off. Ef does not seem satisfied. He cut the tendons in his left armpit and behind both knees. A thunderous roar bounced on the river wall.
“You will not die from this wound. But you won't be able to move anymore. Enjoy this 72 hours until your necklace explodes on its own.”
Ef's voice was very cold, then he got up and hugged Lin's shoulder. Lin was about to turn around and hug Ef. But the man held it.
“Stay close your eyes.”
Ef carried Lin moving from the river bank. He carried Lin until he could no longer see the two men earlier. He dropped Lin.
“I'm very ta-“
Lin's voice was stifled as Ef kissed her lips.
