“The killer must have been out of Jarvis' room balcony window and he also wore gloves.” Lindsey said.
“Piter, try enlarged part of his face.” Lindsey told Piter.
Piter stopped the video and enlarged the man's face despite his eyes.
“This eye.. like no stranger.” says Katie.
“Try magnifying again.” by Lindsey.
Peter zoomed again on the part of his face to the maximum. “It's been stuck.”
Lindsey took over the mouse from Piter's hand and moved her mouse slightly.
“There is a small mole on the left cheekbone. I know who it is.” said Lindsey.
“Carlos.” Lindsey later said.
“You sure, Lindsey? This mole is very small.” reply Katie.
“The forehead of the fly is small, but still visible on the face of Carlos who is white.” Lindsey said.
“Wait. It seems to be Carlos. Because I remember that day and at the same hour Carlos told me he was going to the hotel to get Jarvis's suit. Said they didn't come home all night.” Katie replied.
“They didn't come home all night because they were standing guard in front of our housing.” Lindsey said.
“If the one that comes out of the balcony is Carlos, what about the one that exits through the door?” ask Piter.
“If that one I don't recognize it. Who knows it was Jarvis's men he sacrificed to serve as killers.” Lindsey replied.
“It's just a feed. Because they have eliminated the CCTV on the balcony, Jarvis is on guard if the CCTV in the hallway is uncovered, which is a fake killer. Jarvis has prepared all this.” said Captain.
“Si*l. Very neat plan.” said Katie.
“This murder means Jarvis, not his uncle. How, Lindsey? Do you still want to be his lawyer?” ask Piter.
“Jarvis cannot be jailed. We still have not found any other treasure assets he.” replied the Captain.
“Kapt, but this matter has reached the realm of law. Jarvis could have been caught and finished here.” said Katie.
“Jarvis will not be jailed. It wasn't Jarvis who killed.” Lindsey said amid the debate.
“Jarvis insists he didn't kill her. But Carlos killed him. And if found out, Carlos will go to jail. Not Jarvis.” Lindsey later said.
“Same. Jarvis told him.” Katie said.
“However will Carlos mention Jarvis' name if caught later? No will.” reply Lindsey.
“So, you will keep defending Jarvis until the end?” ask Piter.
“Yes. Let's think realistically. What do we need from Jarvis now? We just use this CCTV as a form of weakness Jarvis.” replied Lindsey.
“But you said Jarvis and Carlos were waiting at which restaurant? Give me the address.” asked Lindsey to Katie. Lindsey then removed the red wig still attached to her head and untied her hair.
“You want to come to them now? What do you want to do?” ask Captain.
“Taking advantage.” replied Lindsey.
“Katie, send me the address. And Piter, send both videos to my phone.” said Lindsey then walked out of the house. Lindsey chose to take a taxi to the restaurant because she was lazy to bring a car.
Arriving at the restaurant, Lindsey finds Carlos and Jarvis waiting for her at a table. Lindsey approached her and got a scary look from Jarvis because of a tight, knee-length black dress featuring curves and a round butt and chest, plus the lipstick she used was a red color. Because Lindsey went straight to the restaurant and did not have time to change her clothes and remove her makeup.
“Have waited a long time, huh? Sorry, yes. The road is jammed once.” Lindsey said.
“Oh, yes it's okay. Then let's order a meal first.” reply Carlos.
Jarvis scrunched his forehead to Lindsey, giving a displeased look.
“There are things I want to discuss with you guys.” Lindsey said.
“What is it?” ask Carlos.
“I've found a way to exonerate Jarvis from the charges.” Lindsey replied.
“Oh, yes? How to?” ask Carlos.
Lindsey pulled out her phone and played a video of the CCTV footage. “People in this video... That's you, right, Carlos?”
Carlos's eyes are round. Carlos looked at Jarvis who was beside him.
Lindsey grabbed Carlos' face, touching Carlos's chin with one hand. The other hand covers the area from the nose down. Leave both eyes alone. “I'm not wrong anymore. Your moles and eyes are similar to those in video.” Lindsey said.
“Katie said you went to the hotel on the same day and hour as the murder. For what?” lindsey asked Carlos and ignored Jarvis.
“I picked up Jarvis's work shirt. He did not have time to go home to the hotel at that time.” replied Carlos.
“But Jarvis still wears the same outfit as at the JM Buildings celebration party. Well, it's okay if this isn't Carlos. I will submit this evidence to the prosecutor's office and let the prosecutor who is looking for the owner of the face on CCTV and Jarvis will automatically be released from all charges.” said Lindsey then rose to his feet.
1... Lindsey started counting.
2...
“Lindsey, wait!” Jarvis got up and pulled Lindsey's hand.
”Sit down first, huh? Let's talk first. Aye, right. That's Carlos.” Lindsey sat down.
“Why?” ask Lindsey.
“Hm?”
“Why did Carlos kill that guy?” ask Lindsey by lowering her voice in the word “kill” so as not to be heard by others in the restaurant.
“I'd hate you so much if you killed him to avenge what he did to me.” Lindsey added.
Jarvis wet his lips. “I gave the order. So your business is only with me.”
“I want Carlos here too. I have to hear from her side.” Lindsey said.
“Lindsey, maybe you will be surprised and in disbelief after I say this.” Jarvis said.
“Jarvis!” Carlos stopped Jarvis.
“It's time.” Jarvis said to Carlos.
“No. Not this time.” reply Carlos.
“I'm a mafia.” Jarvis told Lindsey.
Ok, Jarvis took my bait. He's already recognized who he is in front of me Lindsey's inner self.
“Bos mafia.” Jarvis.
“What did you say?”
“You did not hear wrong.”
“This is me and the way I work.”
Jarvis has confessed to Lindsey about who he is. And let's see Lindsey's reaction.
“Ja-so.. you mean..” Lindsey could not finish her sentence.
“Yes. I always do things that break the law. The law can never satisfy me. Right you said, I can't accept someone touching you let alone hurting your whole body. I—”
“Enough.”
“Enough. Don't keep going again.” Lindsey said.
“What is so common killing for you guys? You're not mafia then. You guys are killers.” Lindsey said later.
“We never kill people just like that. There can't be smoke if there's no fire.” reply Jarvis. Jarvis' tone was no longer as gentle and slow as before. His tone began to cool and cranky.
“You still don't feel guilty, Jarvis? I can avenge the actions of the woman herself without you having to act!” Lindsey.
“With what? With law? Imprisoned her? How'd he meet a great lawyer like you? He will escape the law. Just like you set me free. You don't remember? You set me free, you?” reply Jarvis.
“That's a mistake. I admit it was my fault for believing the wrong person. And I dare to take responsibility for my own mistakes. I'll reveal everything to the prosecutor's office.” Lindsey stood up from her chair.
“Sit. I'm not done talking.” Jarvis said coldly.
But Lindsey ignored Jarvis and turned around.
“Carlos, actually me and Lindsey.” said Jarvis who managed to stop Lindsey's leg. Jarvis spoke as he stared at Lindsey's body from behind, hoping that Lindsey would return to her seat.
