Lindsey saw Jarvis' handcuffed hands.
“Lindsey, help me. My status from the witness rises to suspect.” Jarvis said.
“You've been checked as a witness?” ask Lindsey.
“Already. But their questions are like cornering me. You see this? I've been treated like a killer.” Jarvis replied while showing his handcuffs.
“No way.” says Lindsey.
“Lindsey, I am willing to follow a series of legal proceedings. But I can't be held back, Lindsey. Trial without detention, can you?” jarvis.
“Of course you can. Butwhy? What's the reason you can't be held?” ask Lindsey.
“I can lose the trust of my clients, my business partners, my customers.” Jarvis replied.
“Help me, Lindsey.” Jarvis held Lindsey's hand.
“Good. You don't know who the body is?” ask Lindsey.
“No, Lindsey. I just don't know why there's a body in my room.” replied Jarvis.
“The body is being autopsied, right?” ask Lindsey.
“It should be so.” replied Jarvis.
“At least we have to wait for the autopsy results to come out first.” reply Lindsey.
“How long?” ask Jarvis.
“Entahlah. Maybe one to two hours.” replied Lindsey.
“Argh.. It was too long.” Jarvis said.
“Did the police find any evidence? Like the tools used to kill, or CCTV? Knives in the kitchen? Or what is it?” ask Lindsey.
“No. I don't know.” Jarvis shook his head. Jarvis briefly covered his face with his handcuffed hands. Lindsey could feel a groan in Jarvis' head.
“Hotel Grand Mansion does not install CCTV on the room floor of VVIP customers. And I also never cook in the kitchen let alone touch the knife.” Jarvis said later.
“Then it is impossible if the police find CCTV evidence and fingerprints in the kitchen knife. They can't arrest you if there's no evidence.” Lindsey replied.
“But I was framed. The one that set me up must have prepared everything. The proof is now that my status has turned into a suspect in an instant.” Jarvis said.
“Quiet, Jarvis. Calm down. Calm.” said Lindsey.
“Lin—hey, how can I calm down? I'll be a killer in a minute. I need to get out as soon as possible. I can't be held back, Lindsey.” Jarvis replied
“Who said?” ask Lindsey.
“Say me.” replied Jarvis.
“That's not true.” reply Lindsey.
“You can't read the current situation?” ask Jarvis.
“It's not true. Because I won't let you be a murderer. You will come home with me tonight.” replied Lindsey.
Jarvis. After what Lindsey said made me wonder. Because Lindsey is like a mysterious woman who comes into his life. Jarvis recalled that a few hours ago, when Jarvis came to work at JM Buildings as usual, Jarvis gave special orders to Carlos to find out how big Lindsey's win rate was. But Carlos could not find him. There was even a surprising discovery.
Flashback.
“What? No case data Lindsey has ever handled?” ask Jarvis.
“Iya. There is no data at all on Lindsey. And you know, the day that we met Lindsey in front of the GDP building, it was the day that Lindsey did a recruitment interview at GDP.”, Carlos replied.
“Hah? Where possible? Was he helping Katie at the police station? He must have been a lot longer than that to be a lawyer.” Jarvis said.
“I'm also confused. Why there is no data on Lindsey.” reply Carlos.
“Misterius once. From a shift replacement at the club, it turns out he's a lawyer. At a big law firm anyway.” Jarvis said.
“Or maybe Lindsey is a senior lawyer? The firm's favorite lawyer? Therefore the data is very closely guarded.” continued Jarvis.
“Can be. And because of the senior lawyer, the connections were wide, until the police at that time immediately stopped Katie's problem when Lindsey talked to her. Whoa... Lindsey is amazing. It was visible from his face. Moreover, he did not show off that. That's the reason why I love it.” reply Carlos.
“Hey, Carlos. Lindsey can definitely help us if we get into legal trouble, right?” ask Jarvis.
Flashback.
“Lindsey, how big is your win rate?” ask Jarvis.
“98%? 99%? Some people say I deserve more than 100%.” Lindsey replied.
Steady once. Inner Jarvis.
“I just found out my girlfriend is the one who can show off.” Jarvis said.
“You think I'm showing off?” ask Lindsey.
“Whatever is not?”
“Oh, yes, we will see.”
“Thank you.” said Jarvis.
Lindsey scrunched her forehead. “For what?”
“Because you are here. And accompanied. Hmm, and amuse me too.” Jarvis said.
“Now be honest with me. You didn't kill him, did you?” ask Lindsey.
“You don't believe me? At the hotel you said you trusted me.” replied Jarvis.
“In that hotel I was as Lindsey. Now I'm a lawyer. And lawyers should be skeptical.” Lindsey replied.
“No. I didn't kill him.” Jarvis said.
Brak! Carlos opened the door of the room violently. “Lindsey, Jarvis, autopsy results are out!” said Carlos.
Lindsey and Carlos are out together. Jarvis is still inside. Soon enough, Lindsey, Carlos and a policeman came inside to approach Jarvis. The policeman took off the handcuffs that locked Jarvis' wrists. Lindsey leaned against the wall of the room while folding her hands in front and holding several sheets of paper.
“Lindsey refuses to speak if you are handcuffed. He also threatened to ruffle the entire contents of the police station.” Carlos whispered in Jarvis' ear.
Gee..
“Lindsey also asked me to bring CCTV footage of JM Buildings on the top floor.” Carlos whispered.
“Take care of it.” reply Jarvis.
The police came out and the investigator went inside. The investigator sat in a chair and faced Jarvis, while Lindsey sat next to Jarvis.
“Can we start?” ask the investigator.
Carlos came out of the room and sealed the room from outside.
Be dead. What am I supposed to do now? inner Lindsey.
Lindsey looked at Jarvis and nodded her head. Give a code that everything can be resolved and will be fine.
“I'm an investigator from XXXX district attorney. I received a file report of a murder at the Grand Mansion.” hotel.
Very quickly this case reached the investigator. From what I read in the book, there should still be an investigation into Lindsey's inner self.
Lindsey took out her ID card at GDP, putting it on the table intentionally to let the investigator know she was from a major law firm.
“This is the result of the victim's autopsy.” Lindsey handed over the sheet of paper that was in her hands.
“Good. Do you know this guy?” Investigators thrust a photograph of the woman on the table.
Aye? This is the woman who kept me in the barn! inner Lindsey.
“No.” Jarvis replied.
“The woman in this photo is a murder victim in your hotel room. Have you seen his face before?” ask investigator.
So, the corpse is that woman? Who claims to be Jarvis' woman? inner Lindsey.
