Lindsey took out her ID card at GDP, putting it on the table intentionally to let the investigator know she was from a major law firm.
“This is the result of the victim's autopsy.” Lindsey handed over the sheet of paper that was in her hands.
“Good. Do you know this guy?” Investigators thrust a photograph of the woman on the table.
Aye? This is the woman who kept me in the barn! inner Lindsey.
“No.” Jarvis replied.
“He was a murder victim in your hotel room. Have you seen his face before?” ask investigator.
So, the corpse is that woman? Who claims to be Jarvis' woman? inner Lindsey.
“No.” Jarvis replied.
“Did the police not give a report on the information my client gave me? You keep asking similar questions like the police earlier.” said Lindsey.
“I'm sorry. According to the results of the autopsy, found the cause of death was a failure to breathe due to suffocation, there were several broken neck bones, a trace of choking in the neck, and bleeding in the head.” said investigators.
“Then, do you have proof that my client did it?” ask Lindsey.
“Yes. There are fingerprints of the suspect in the victim's nails.” replied the investigator.
Jarvis sighed.
“That's it?” ask Lindsey.
“Ya.”
Obviously it's a trap. Jarvis was really framed. Because from the book I read, a murderer is not as reckless as it is to leave a trail. Especially fingerprints. Jarvis isn't that stupid. If he wanted to kill someone, he would rather burn them alive than strangle Lindsey.
“It's not proof. Fingerprints on nails? That's common. How about in the neck? The victim died by strangulation. And fingerprints alone are not enough to prove that my client killed.” asked Lindsey.
“Currently only your clients are suspected. The location of TKP is also in your client's hotel room. And it could be that the victim tried to fight, therefore your client's fingerprints are left on the victim's nails.” replied the investigator.
“ ‘Can you’? Do you think that's it?” ask Lindsey.
“Yes, I think it is like that. We just need to find the evidence.” replied the investigator.
“When working on a criminal case, the truth can only be uncovered through evidence, not people's opinions let alone your opinions. Well, it was my turn to ask. What time was the death of the victim in the autopsy results?” ask Lindsey.
“3 pm.” replied the investigator.
“Good.”
Lindsey took her phone and typed something. After he finished typing, Carlos entered the room with a laptop. Carlos put the laptop on the table and showed the CCTV footage in JM Buildings.
”Jam 9 past 7 minutes my client entered his room. And please see for yourself the video when my client out of his room.” said Lindsey.
The investigator changes the speed of the video so that the video runs quickly. In the video it is not seen that Jarvis left his room until the time shows at 7 p.m. The investigator was surprised at himself when he saw it.
“It seems obvious. My client was not at the hotel at the time of the incident. Then, see you at the trial.” Lindsey stood up and walked to the door. Jarvis.
But suddenly a policeman came in, opened the door of the room and handed over a small usb containing CCTV footage in the parking lot and the main lobby of the Grand Mansion hotel to investigators.
Lindsey's starting to roll. His heart pumps twice as fast. He went to the hotel and entered through the main lobby. If he is found in room 3205, then he will be suspected and will not be able to become Jarvis' defense lawyer.
Investigators played a video on the usb provided by the police earlier. Investigators increased the speed of the video and saw Jarvis' car arrive at the parking lot at 7 o'clock in 42 minutes. While in the lobby, investigators did not see any Jarvis or Lindsey.
Jarvis must have taken care of the CCTV in the lobby. CCTV's clean. There's no me. Inner Lindsey.
Lindsey took a sip of his saliva and returned relieved.
“How? Is the video done?” lindsey asked and walked out the door.
Lindsey turned around before she opened the door. “Oh, yes. Please look for evidence based on the truth, not your opinion.“ Lindsey said and opened the door to exit the room.
Jarvis and Carlos behind him. Lindsey really proved her point that Jarvis came home with her that night. Lindsey herself did not believe what she had just done.
I liberate people? And act like a real lawyer? Lindsey's? What's wrong with you? Why can you? inner Lindsey.
“Where do you want me to book a hotel? Your room must still not be occupied.” said Carlos.
Lindsey turned body. “Hmm, I have an empty and new apartment. How about you stay there for a while?” Lindsey gave me advice.
“You don't have to think about security! Security there is tight. The ones who live there are mostly lawyers from my law firm. Someone doesn't dare to look for a lawyer, does he?” lindsey said later.
“I don't care, but where will you stay?” ask Jarvis. All he really wanted was for Lindsey to come with him.
“I'll stay with my sister. Or stay at Katie's house is also no problem.” replied Lindsey.
“I'm a hassle, yes.. Sorry, yes.” said Jarvis.
“It's okay, really. I never lived in that apartment either. Come.” reply Lindsey then walk to her car.
“You have to pay Lindsey a large amount. If it wasn't for Lindsey, you would still be handcuffed behind bars.” Carlos whispered.
“Iya, yes. I must have paid him.” Reply Jarvis.
“Good. I unplug first. Later send Lindsey apartment address if I want to pick up tomorrow morning.” said Carlos.
“Pick up, woy!” reply Jarvis.
Carlos walks to his car while Jarvis walks to Lindsey's.
“Let me drive.” said Jarvis and took the car keys out of Lindsey's hands.
Jarvis drove Lindsey's car into the apartment in question. After the two arrived, they entered one of the units on the 16th floor and there was the name Lindsey on the door indicating that the apartment unit was Lindsey's. Lindsey opened the door with a GDP ID card and let Jarvis in.
“This apartment is empty, nothing. I never occupied it.” Lindsey told a lie. He just got the unit a few days ago.
