...****************...
Lindsey got out of the car and was picked up and escorted by some of Jarvis' men to the meeting point.
Jarvis didn't even pick me up directly. Inner Lindsey.
Halfway down the road, Carlos appeared.
“Presse.” Carlos said briefly, densely, and clearly to the men. The men follow Carlos' orders, leaving Lindsey with Carlos.
“Nothing bad happened, ’kan?” carlos asked, summarizing Lindsey's arms.
“You know this moment is your best chance to win my heart because now I don't believe in Jarvis.”.
Carlos put his suit on for Lindsey.
“Not mean I can you trust now.” Carlos said.
“Yes, I shouldn't trust you. Yesterday you said love and today you scapegoated me. You loser.” reply Lindsey then walk straight past Carlos.
“I'll explain my part after you talk to Jarvis. Because Jarvis's position as your lover was earlier than mine. That's also if you need.” said Carlos. Lindsey did not care. He kept walking straight.
Carlos chased after Lindsey's footsteps and drove her to a black sedan in which Jarvis already had. Carlos opened the door for Lindsey to come in and sit next to Jarvis. Lindsey came in, Carlos closed the door again and looked for a distance from them.
“Lindsey? Lindsey, you're okay, ’kan? Everything is safe, ’kan? The police didn't mention my name, ’kan?” jarvis asked when Lindsey got in the car.
“Why are you so scared?” reply Lindsey.
“A-me..”
“Did a real man run away and leave his partner?” ask Lindsey.
“Lindsey, i.. Lindsey, you know for yourself I can't get involved with legal matters. I'm a mafia.” Jarvis replied.
Plaque!
A slap was fired by Lindsey and landed on Jarvis' cheek.
“So, that's why you scapegoated me to endure all your deeds?”
“Who said you can't get involved with the problem? Your status, your ancestry, your job as a mafia alone is a problem. It is precisely here that I cannot get involved with the problem!” Lindsey's emotions are running high.
“You forgot who I am?!” ask again.
“Because I know who you are, I know you can solve this problem, so from that—” Jarvis sentence is truncated.
“Then from that you scapegoat-blacken me?” Lindsey.
“Iya. But everything is clear, ’kan? I know very well your speed in overcoming the problem.” replied Jarvis.
Plaque!
A slap back landed on Jarvis' cheek.
“Even no apologies came out of your mouth after scapegoating me?” Lindsey.
“Linds, I know I was wrong. Even sorry is not enough. I know it.” Jarvis said.
“Do you really love me?” ask Lindsey.
“...” Jarvis.
“Jawab my question.” Lindsey said.
“Is that questionable again?” reply Jarvis.
“Good. I'll assume you don't really love me.” Lindsey said and got out of the car.
Jarvis catches up with Lindsey outside.
“Carlos, I want—” Lindsey's sentence was cut when Jarvis grabbed her hand and landed a kiss on Lindsey's lip.
Lindsey pushed Jarvis' body with all her might, distancing Jarvis' body, forcibly removing the two lips that were fused.
“You think everything will be finished with a kiss? Se*s?” Lindsey.
“That's his lust. Not love! All I need is someone who can give love to me, not satisfy lust.” he then turned his back to Jarvis.
Jarvis again grabbed Lindsey's hand, pulling her forcibly into the car. “Cute me!”
Jarvis put Lindsey in the car and then got into the driver's seat, driving his own car.
“Jarvis. Jarvis! Went where? Jarvis!” asked Carlos who was ignored.
Jarvis drove his own car without Carlos. No one knows where he's headed, only Jarvis knows. Lindsey asked many times but Jarvis remained silent and focused on driving.
Just long enough Jarvis driving at high speed, until they arrived at a gate that is no stranger to the eyes of Lindsey. The gate opened, and Jarvis's car got into it.
There is a large and luxurious house. Jarvis opens the car door and tells Lindsey to get off. Lindsey's eyes increasingly observed the house that looked familiar in his eyes, guessing what the house was and finally finding the answer himself.
Mansion.
Yeah, it's Jarvis's parents' private mansion. Jarvis took him there. It can be said that Jarvis returned to the old mansion after almost two decades he left it. Because to him it was like a cursed mansion.
And now he comes back to the cursed mansion, bringing a woman who managed to influence his life, into and ravage his heart. The woman who made him act rashly and found it hard to think long. Makes him impulsive, just follow his heart.
“Follow me.” said Jarvis then walked into the mansion.
Lindsey followed Jarvis' footsteps from behind. He still can't believe Jarvis took him to the mansion where Jarvis lived as a child, as if taking him on a trip to the past.
After going inside, the mansion still remained as it should be; clean, tidy, like there was a life there. Not a single dust was found there even though Jarvis was no longer living. Unlike old buildings that become memorable mystical places.
Jarvis managed to keep the mansion alive by paying the workers.
As soon as they arrived, they were immediately greeted by neat female workers in uniform, standing in line and bowing their bodies. But Jarvis just walked away while pulling Lindsey's hand.
Climbing the stairs, Lindsey looked around the contents of the mansion. Woahs.. It's like his inner palace.
Jarvis opened a door to a room that turned out to be a room. Enter them into a spacious room, with a dark blue interior design, luxurious, king-size bed neatly arranged like a king bed.
“Help here. I'll be back soon.” Jarvis said and then closed the door from the outside, leaving Lindsey in a room that still felt unfamiliar to him.
Jarvis returned down the stairs, passing Carlos who had just arrived at the mansion, “Don't let him out of the mansion.” Jarvis orders Carlos and leaves the mansion.
Carlos came to Jarvis' room, knocking on the door slowly. “Lindsey, it's me.” Carlos said as his hand held the door handle and ready to open it.
“Do not enter.” reply Lindsey from inside.
“Good. I want to explain my part to you. Can?” said Carlos.
“Although so, I will still explain.” said Carlos. Carlos took a sitting position on the floor, leaning against the door of the room. They communicate with each other but are blocked by the door.
“When Jarvis told me to investigate you, I did very well. I investigated you thoroughly, down to the roots, skin you and nothing remains. Of all the things I've gotten about you, I don't know why Jarvis chose to use your unused account. If I could have prevented it. I would not have let Jarvis use your account.” Carlos said.
“For what?” ask Lindsey.
“To be used as a container that will accommodate the flow of funds from other Jarvis businesses.” replied Carlos.
“What business? Why do the police suspect him?” ask Lindsey.
Carlos speechless. Remembering a sentence that Jarvis once said to him.
Flashback.
“So, you and Lindsey have returned together?” ask Carlos.
“Yups. We are like a destiny that cannot be separated.” replied Jarvis.
“Eh.. don't tell me.. You still like Lindsey?“ ask Jarvis then.
“Is that a reasonable question?” reply Carlos.
“Good if you say so. We have been together for a long time and often share what we have. But there are 3 things I cannot share with you, namely; treasure, throne, woman.” Jarvis said.
Off Flashback.
“It was Jarvis parts. I just explained my part.” replied Carlos to Lindsey's question.
“Although I said ‘only you can I trust currently’, you still do not want to tell me?” ask Lindsey.
“Don't make me a traitor, Lindsey.” Carlos said.
“But you've been a traitor.” reply Lindsey.
“....”
Carlos has the opportunity to tell Lindsey what other business Jarvis is in. But he chose to be quiet. The reason was the sentence Jarvis uttered. He was pensive and conscious. He has given everything for Jarvis, but something else with Jarvis.
Treasure, Throne, Woman. Three things Jarvis couldn't share with Carlos.
“Lindsey, how long have you been friends with Katie?” ask Carlos.
“Maybe 4 years.” replied Lindsey.
“What have you given or have you together?” ask Carlos.
“Many. Money work, our internal also sometimes use together, toothbrush, we have also dated the same man.” replied Lindsey.
“My friendship and Jarvis' life is 5x greater than the age of your friendship with Katie. I am friends with Jarvis, working with him, serving him longer than your friendly age.” Carlos said.
“You are a loyal dog. There is a saying that dogs are more loyal than humans.” Lindsey retorted.
“But do you know? It turns out there are 3 things that we cannot have together. 3 things that become a barrier between us.” said Carlos.
“You can tear down that wall. The barrier wall is gone, finished.” reply Lindsey.
“You know what the wall is? Treasures, thrones, women.” Carlos said.
Lindsey opened the room door, startling Carlos and making him fall backwards.
Lindsey sat on her knees, helping Carlos get up. “Carlos, why don't you just break that barrier?” ask Lindsey.
“What do you mean?” reply Carlos.
“Konon said the nearest person is the most dangerous person.” Lindsey said.
“Then?” ask Carlos.
“You ’kan the closest person Jarvis. Why don't you join me to drain Jarvis's treasure? You know where the gold is, the property assets, the bank, you can take over the property. And also the throne, you know everything about JM Buildings, you can definitely take over and turn it into CS Buildings. (Carlos Scott). And woman, me, I've been your boyfriend, what are you worried about? You can grab 3 things that Jarvis can't share with you.” Lindsey said.
Carlos put the back of his hand on Lindsey's forehead. “Heat.”
“Hah? Any timing? But I don't feel pain.” Lindsey replied.
“You are crazy, Lindsey.” Carlos said.
“Cock crazy? I give you the best way.” reply Lindsey.
“Now I ask you. Did Jarvis have any faults with you?” ask Carlos.
“Hm?”
“Why can you talk like that so lightly without thinking about Jarvis just a little bit?” ask Carlos.
“I just want to help you. I gave you the right advice.” replied Lindsey.
“Lindsey, I don't know what's in your brain, what Jarvis did to you, until you say something like that, if you can't love Jarvis sincerely, at least you don't ruin his life. For you this place is a palace, but for Jarvis this place is a cursed place. There was a reason why he left this place and never came to her again until today. To this day, you made her come back, making her recall the severed memories of her life. Jarvis said he found his parents shot dead with eyes glaring in the room. I forgot which room, it could be the room you are occupying now.” Carlos said then stood up.
“Carlos! Uh, Carlos! Where are you going?” ask Lindsey. Suddenly the feather stood up to hear the last sentence that Carlos said.
“Why? You want me to come inside with you?” reply Carlos.
“That's impossible, ’kan?” ask Lindsey.
“Of course. What if Jarvis comes back and sees us in the same room?” reply Carlos.
“Ta-but..this room.. Hmm, just like this! What if the door is left open? You're outside, I'm inside.” Lindsey said.
“Hm, can.” reply Carlos.
“By the way, do you have a charger cable? My phone's dead because it's out of battery. I have to inform people of home.” Lindsey said.
“No need. I told Katie that you are in a safe place.” Carlos replied.
“You didn't explain where I was? What if they're still worried about me?” ask Lindsey.
“I've said that you are in a safe place. That was enough to allay worries. Are you a little kid anyway?” reply Carlos.
Well. My gang definitely doesn't know where I am. My phone's dead so it can't be traced. And Carlos didn't tell Katie my whereabouts.
“By the way, I'm sorry for the incident. I feel like there's a part of my mistake too. But really, at first I didn't know if Jarvis wanted to use your account to hold his dark funds. If I knew, I would have—” Carlos said stalled. He suddenly realized his mouth had spit out a word that should not have come out.
“Dark funds?” Lindsey.
“Yes, yes, yes. I get it now. The police investigated my account because the contents of the account were dark funds. All right, I get it.” Lindsey continued.
“I can't say more. The point is I'm sorry. Then, how can you solve that problem in just a matter of hours?” reply Carlos.
“Oh, the. My second boyfriend helped me finish it. Well, I guess God is very fair, yeah. When 2 of my girlfriends gave me trouble, God gave 1 boyfriend to solve my problem.” said Lindsey.
“Oh, so ya?” Carlos came out of the room and closed the door.
“Carlos! Carlos, hey! Open door! Oye! Please! Carlos!” exciting Lindsey.
Carlos opened the door to his room. Looks like Lindsey's scared of the mystical stuff.
