“Is it important?” reply Lindsey.
“Ya.”
“What does that woman tell me is important to you?” ask Lindsey.
“Ya.”
“How about me?” ask Lindsey.
Jarvis.
But Jarvis' silence included an answer for Lindsey. He's nodding. Eyes glazed.
“You will belittle me when you are bored just like you did with that woman. That's what the woman said.” Lindsey replied and walked away from Jarvis.
Jarvis grabbed Lindsey's hand and blocked her path. “He said that to you?” ask Jarvis.
“Ya.”
“Then, do I look like I would be like that to you?” ask Jarvis again.
“Ya.”
“You don't trust me, yes.” Jarvis said.
“What should I trust you with? Is there anything I can trust you with? After I've experienced all this?” reply Lindsey. The clumps of tears in his eyes came down. The incident he had experienced was so terrifying and shook him.
“Everything. You have to trust everything from me.” said Jarvis who then wiped the tears that fell soaked Lindsey's cheeks.
“I will soon find the woman who hurt my lover's beautiful face.” Jarvis said later while rubbing Lindsey's cheek.
“Only you are my woman. There is no primary or secondary, first or second. My woman is just you, Lindsey.” added Jarvis.
“Sweet as you mouth, Jarvis. But unfortunately I don't like anything sweet. It will only make me enek.” reply Lindsey.
“Bring that woman to me then I will trust you.” Lindsey added.
Jarvis agreed. “Alright, I will bring you and I will prove that you are my only woman.” Jarvis said.
“Then why did you burn that warehouse?” ask Lindsey.
Jarvis lowered his hand from Lindsey's shoulder.
“Why are you accusing me? You have proof that I burned the warehouse?” reply Jarvis.
Also true. I don't have any proof. All I have is faith. The belief that Jarvis burned the warehouse. And Jarvis is like challenging me now, Lindsey's inner self.
“The only thing I know about that place is me, my brother, you, Carlos, and your men. If it wasn't you who burned it, would it be Carlos? Or your men? I saw you yesterday coming with your boys who are full of.”, Lindsey said.
“They are not my men. They are just ordinary guards. The bodyguard I specially recruited to take care of me because I always felt insecure. And it wasn't one of us who burned that warehouse.” Jarvis replied.
Lindsey looked at Jarvis' eyes sharply. What are you hiding, Jarvis..? inner Lindsey.
“Trust me, Lindsey. I'm the one person who least wants dangerous things to happen to you, Lindsey.” Jarvis said later. His hand re-encapsulated Lindsey's upper arm.
“Keep your hands. Carlos can see it.” reply Lindsey cold.
“No. He is far.” said Jarvis who refused Lindsey's request.
“Get your hands I said!” reply Lindsey with a high tone.
Jarvis finally complied and removed Lindsey's arm.
“Lindsey, do you know what I really want to do right now?
Hugged you. I really want to do it right now.” Jarvis said.
“I'm late.” reply Lindsey then walk to her car. Lindsey opens the car door and intends to enter but is intercepted by Jarvis.
“You're right it's okay?” ask Jarvis who grabbed Lindsey's wrist.
“Iya, Jarvis.” replied Lindsey.
“It seems not.” replied Jarvis then went into the car that Lindsey had opened and sat in the driver's seat.
“What are you doing, Jarvis?” ask Lindsey.
“I can still drive. I just had a blister, not a paralytic. Quickly get off my car.” reply Lindsey.
“No.” said Jarvis then closed the car door.
Lindsey frowned. Jarvis's actions confused him. Lindsey entered and sat in the front passenger seat.
“What? Why?” lindsey asked, Jarvis was staring at her.
Then Jarvis advanced his body towards Lindsey, eroding the distance between them. Even Jarvis' breathing can be felt on Lindsey's face. With this close distance making Lindsey's heart beat above normal speed, her face flushed red. Lindsey closed her eyes. While Jarvis's hand grabbed the seatbelt and fitted it to Lindsey.
Lindsey opened her eyes again. There's a misunderstanding here. Lindsey thought Jarvis wanted to kiss her, but it turned out that Jarvis just wanted to put a seatbelt on Lindsey. And it's not the first time Jarvis has fitted a seatbelt for Lindsey.
“Why do you always forget to wear your seat belt? Is this just your mode sense just so I put it on for you?” ask Jarvis.
“Modus? Just 2x I forgot, you know! Quickly walk, or better you just go down.” replied Lindsey.
“Iya, yes, leave. Anyway same mode girlfriend herself legitimately only kok.” reply Jarvis then run the car.
“I'm not mode, Jarvis.” Lindsey said.
Jarvis drove Lindsey's car to the firm. She was so worried about her woman that she couldn't let Lindsey drive her own car. Arriving at the firm, Lindsey directs Jarvis to get into the parking lot. Jarvis and Lindsey got out of the car after it was parked.
“Salep from doctor already smeared?” ask Jarvis.
“Already.”
“Medicine to help the wound healing process has been taken?” ask Jarvis.
“Already.”
“How about breakfast?” ask Jarvis.
“Already.”
“Oh, great. I haven't.” said Jarvis.
“ Around the firm many places to eat. Go breakfast.” reply Lindsey.
“Good.” says Jarvis.
Lindsey walked towards the entrance to the building. But only 2 steps, his legs stopped and turned towards Jarvis.
“Oh, yes. How do you get back to your office?” ask Lindsey.
“Ah, easy! I can take a taxi. You don't have to worry.” replied Jarvis.
“Oh, yes already. I go in first.” reply Lindsey and then back walk.
“Lindsey..” Call Jarvis who makes Lindsey's footsteps again stop.
“What?”
“Back to work later at my hotel. Just stopping by or staying overnight can also be.” said Jarvis.
“Alright.” reply Lindsey then walk into the firm building, leaving Jarvis in the parking lot.
Upon arrival in her room, Lindsey placed her butt on the chair for a moment. While he checked the email on his computer regarding the schedule and place of the hearing he had to attend. Lindsey breathed heavily knowing that today she had to attend 2 different sessions. Also he had to make 2 reports regarding each of his trial.
Just looking at the schedule, it feels like Lindsey is tired. But he hasn't done anything yet. And that's what he's got to do for 60 days.
Tok..
Someone from outside knocked on the door of his room.
“Excuse.” A man shows his face after opening the door to Lindsey's room.
“Iya, what's up?” ask Lindsey.
“Include me Aiden, new lawyer here. We signed the contract on the same day.” said the man.
