The Strange Cabman

After convincing Sofia who finally wanted to come with her Anne immediately quickly left the Baron residence.

Furtively grasping Sofia's hand tightly. Anne looked at her surroundings that already had guards somehow standing not far from her.

Though Baron Shafiq residence there are only a few soldiers considering the area is a quiet place and a little outside threat. Making Baron Shafiq not really need soldiers.

" This must be a palace warrior I've guessed Abraxas acted quickly with this matter. But I have to keep running because this is my only chance." - Anne.

" Hey, why do we have to get up so early" said soldier 1 complaining.

The sound of someone behind her immediately made Anne panic and quickly hide herself and Sofia.

There were two palace soldiers talking.

" You know not the Emperor is a very disciplined person, he will do everything perfectly" said soldier 2 to his colleagues.

" It is strange why the Emperor told us to stand guard in this quiet Baron Shafiq residence" said soldier 1, whose voice slowly disappeared as he moved away from Anne and Sofia.

Sofia raised her head looking at Anne with a curious look.

" Mommy, why would the Emperor put guards here, are there criminals?" asked Sofia in her innocent voice.

Anne who heard it could only smile awkwardly.

" There are no criminals but your father wants to put me as the villain." - Anne, who dared not speak to Sofia.

Anne glanced to the right and to the left after making sure no one was passing by. Anne quickly clasped Sofia's hand walking out of the residence.

When she reached the gate Anne could breathe a sigh of relief because the horse carriage she had ordered was in front of her.

" Good morning, my Lady, you are ready to go" said a man wearing a hat and jacket covered in a friendly greeting to Anne.

After that, Anne entered the horse carriage. Not long after the horse-drawn carriage moved away from the residence of Baron Shafiq.

Anne felt so relieved that Emperor Abraxas did not pursue her with his troops.

" We're all safe, baby." muttered Anne while hugging Sofia tightly.

Sofia returns Anne's embrace even though she doesn't understand why they left the Baron's residence as if they were being chased by a bad person.

But Sofia did not want to ask because mommy was afraid of her being sad.

The horse carriage walked through the forest where Anne and Sofia frowned in surprise. Because this path did not pass through their house at all.

Anne who was curious immediately asked the coachman who was riding his horse-drawn carriage.

" Excuse me, sorry this is a different path than before. Can you turn back the other way because I don't have much time?" anne asked the coachman to turn back the carriage.

Anne felt that she was upset and spoke to the coachman again.

" Excuse me sir, can you hear my words. We don't have much time to serve your disrespectful attitude, sir." said Anne.

But unfortunately the coachman just lowered his head without taking anything out.

" Sir, who exactly are you?" asked Anne who was suspicious and panicked.
