Chapter 65's

After dinner Sofia falls asleep in her room probably due to exhaustion all day running around. While Anne now stands on the balcony while looking at the sky there are many stars.

" I can't believe I escaped for 5 years" Anne said, chuckling softly.

" Maybe it was because the father hid the access of Emperor Abraxas to look for you here" replied someone who was behind him.

Anne looked back to see her father Count Reyes standing in the doorway of her room.

" What good night are you doing here instead of sleeping with you?" anne asked curious about the arrival of Count Reyes in her room and moreover she was surprised by the information revealed just now by the Count.

Count Reyes walked over and stood beside Anne while looking straight ahead.

" I told someone to hide our whereabouts. Otherwise Emperor Abraxas would have known much earlier of your existence. You know not that we've been considered traitors for daring to deceive an Emperor." Count Reyes said, staring at Anne.

Anne who heard him pensively thought because everything her father said was the truth. Actually, he did not suspect that his parents dared to make a decision in hiding him. He did not like Emperor Abraxas, who nearly killed his father. His love for Emperor Abraxas felt lost to the wind with the traitor's stamp that the man threw to his family.

Also Anne felt very guilty because her actions with Emperor Abraxas made her family in distress. Moreover, his parents had to leave their homeland.

" I'm sorry dad for dragging you into this" Anne said, bowing her head.

Count Reyes who heard it held Anne's shoulder gently.

" Let's calm down this isn't your fault the most important thing now is that we have to raise Sofia well into a happy girl. You and Sofia are our most precious treasures. Now go to bed tomorrow instead of having to buy something in town" Count Reyes told Anne to sleep.

Anne smiled as she nodded her head before then giving a kiss on her father's face.

" Dad loves you my daughter, good night." replied Count Reyes.

The next day the Count and Countess Reyes have to go home considering Annette is about to give birth to her second child. Countess Reyes wants to help Annette in her pregnancy.

Annette's husband had to go for an expedition for 6 months on the orders of the Empire.

Sofia hears that her grandparents are going away again her teary eyes are sad. As it is now on the doorstep Sofia is unwilling to let go of her embrace to her grandfather. Makes Anne have to think how to release Sofia's embrace on Count Reyes.

" Sofia let go of your grandfather's embrace, not that we're going to the city today" Anne said, trying to persuade Sofia.

Sometimes Anne felt Sofia's stubbornness was down to her. It made him regret his attitude first that likes to ask his father anything.

" No way, grandfather can't go to the hyx." said Sofia while hiding her face on Count Reyes' shoulder.

Count Reyes was not at all bothered by Sofia's whining attitude as it would remind her of little Anne.

" Sofia was very similar to Anne when she was a child. Sometimes I think if Sofia was raised in the palace what our relationship is as good as this." Inner Count Reyes felt his heart was troubled.
