The Woman in the Heart of the Adjutant

The Woman in the Heart of the Adjutant
Chapter 12

Love of the Adjutant

Chapter 13

In the morning, as Eligius was about to throw the trash out of his room, he saw that the food he bought last night was already in the trash. There's a sense of disappointment.

Disappointed it is only we who create, if we do not expect too much of course there is no word disappointed.

"Bang," said Acha, a little afraid that he was standing behind Eligius.

Eligius turned his body.

"Th-that …." Acha pointed towards the trash can with an unpleasant taste.

"Not what." Eligius left Acha.

Acha was still standing, she felt guilty.

"Acha!" The scream of Adeline makes Acha stirred up to meet Adeline.

"What's up, Ma'am?" Acha's head bowed, his hands squeezing each other.

Acha recalled Sartika's remark last night that Adeline liked Eligius.

"Clean my room now!" acha commands while pointing towards the top floor.

"Ba-good, Ma'am." Acha immediately went to pick up supplies such as vacum cleaner and washcloth.

Eligius looked at Acha's steps from the corner of his eye. It was a pity to see the girl but, Eligius no longer wanted to misplace the heart.

Long enough acha out of Adeline's room, her left hand held a vacum cleaner and her right hand hugged a basket of dirty clothes on her waist.

It's still morning to do all this work.

"Have you had breakfast, Cha?" mang Yusuf asked as he saw Acha walking into the laundry room.

"Later on, Mang."

"Why you?" asked Yusuf again with a little whisper.

"No why." Mang Yusuf knew Acha was lying.

"Last night you got slapped by mamak again?" This time Mang Yusuf chirped in fear that money would hear.

Acha nodded.

"It's been a lot, right?" So, back, Yusuf asked.

This time Acha did not reply, she fell silent.

"Pity you, Cha. Until now, Sartika still hates you. It's not really your fault."

"It's the fate of the body" said Acha with a slightly heavy voice.

"If there is already a lover, getting married may be better. You seek your own happiness, Cha." Mang Yusuf was immediately quiet when he heard the sound of feet stepping closer to the room where he and Acha were.

It was Sartika's footsteps.

"I want to go with Mother and Sister Adeline. You do all the housework! We went home and the food had to be on the table!" sartika's word to Acha who still washes clothes.

"Where are you going?" ask Acha doubt.

"The company of Adeline Mbak looking for kebaya clothes for his graduation Sunday tomorrow," replied Sartika.

Acha getting worse, she tried to cover her sadness with a smile. He and Adeline are both going to graduation on the same day but, different places.

Everyone full of euphoria welcomes the Adeline process even though Adeline graduates with a special path.

While the news of Acha graduation no one cares, until now Acha has not had a kebaya shirt that he will wear for the graduation procession tomorrow. Nor did Sartika ask.

The house was so quiet, only Acha lived who was sweeping this sizable house. After cleaning the house, his stomach feels sore, he just remembered that there was no food that entered his stomach from the morning.

Actually it was Eligius breakfast that he deliberately did not eat, because when he was about to take breakfast, he had time to count the number of dishes served on the table. The number of dishes and assistants of this house is not the same.

When Eligius asked Sartika why there was less one, Sartika said Acha had eaten first. However, Eligius can judge that Sartika is lying.

In a hurry Acha spent the rice on the plate, she would cook the food that was already on the menu list. Menu list attached to the refrigerator door. Every day they have to cook according to the menu list that has been compiled by Ms. Fenita.

Eating was already on the table with various types of menus, when it was heard the sound of a car entering the home page.

Miss Adeline's splashy voice when finished shopping has become her trademark. He was so happy to have spent his parents' money. A few bags of groceries lined up on the sofa. Acha looked from a distance, there was envy but, quickly brushed aside by him.

Acha approached and told him that lunch was in session. They seem to have eaten outside.

Acha noticed a lethargic gaze as Adeline spread her kebaya shirt complete with slippers and bags that she would wear at graduation.

Acha's heart is increasingly pitying, when it is remembered that he has not prepared anything. Not lazy just that he did not have money for it, he once asked Sartika, not given the existing Sartika instead snapped it. Acha slowly disappeared from the room.

Acha sat at the end of the bed, when Sartika entered.

"Mak" said Acha.

Sartika just muttered.

"Three more days Acha graduation, Mak. Acha no kebaya shirt." Acha bowed she was afraid of being scolded again by Sartika.

"Wear what is!"

"Acha has nothing" said Acha with a full chest. "If not, it's for hire, Mom."

"No. There's no money for that!" sartika Bengkak. Then Sartika went up to the bed to take a nap.

Sartika was nice to Acha but, since she knew Adeline had a heart for Eligius and Eligius seemed to have more attention for Acha, it made Sartika dislike Acha.

Acha sent a message to Vera, her best friend, asking about the kebaya dress. What is the price of kebaya and make up for graduation.

Before long, Acha received a reply from Vera who said that Acha should prepare about three hundred thousand rupiah.

Acha, who has no money at all, speaks to Adeline and borrows heeled sandals for her graduation. If Adeline also has an old kebaya shirt, Acha also has no problem wearing it.

"Nothing," Adeline replied.

For some reason what came to his mind was only Eligius, not Yogi who was his lover. It was like trying to borrow money but, Acha was afraid to say it.

Acha returned to the room because there was no more work to be done . He could only sit down daydreaming about how. While borrowing old clothes Adeline is not given.

Accidentally Acha's hand nudged Sartika's foot. This made Sartika wake up. Sartika silently watched Acha sitting at the end of the bed facing the window.

There was a rush of pity for the big-nosed girl. Acha realizes Sartika has woken up when Sartika tries to wake up.

"Oh," complained Sartika as she was about to get up but, her waist ached.

"Why, Mom?" Acha quickly got up and helped Sartika to sit down.

"No idea. Suddenly a pain in the waist," replied Sartika after she could sit well.

Sartika got out of bed, accompanied by a question from Acha whether Sartika could do it. Sartika did not answer. He stepped towards the two-door wardrobe made of wood. The cupboard holds the clothes of Sartika and Acha.

Sartika grooved in the bottom fabric fold. Not long after the hand was pulled by carrying a wallet from the gold shop.

Acha saw that the wallet contained several pieces of one hundred thousand coins.

"Go find cheap kebaya clothes! All by itself."

Acha can hardly believe Sartika ended up giving her the money. "Just right, Mom?"

"The hunt, the shop's afternoon is closing."

Rushing and full of enthusiasm, Acha changed into a pretty neat outfit even though it was not too good. After he finished changing clothes he shook Sartika's hand and left.

His main destination is Vera's house, he can use public transport if he wants to get there during the day.
