CHAPTER I

...STEWART KINGDOM ...

Ailean Henderson was a ruthless young emperor when he was angry.

He is currently angry. His mood soured shortly after the younger brother came to him. Ramsey told him about a promise he once promised his sweet little wife, Ainsley Callista.

What Ramsey said was very successful was a big surprise for Ailean. To make Ailean could not say a single word to her sister to respond to the promise made by her.

The shock did not last long.as soon as anger took over Ailean's mind. In fact, the ludicrous promise Ramsey made to his little wife did not serve to upset Ailean. However, the fact that the man had gathered the members of the royal council to hold an official meeting on the matter was what infuriated Ailean.

Previously, Ailean planned to stop her sister's efforts so as not to involve the board members in their personal affairs. However, at that time Ailean had to deal with the bastards of the Maitland Clan who had attacked some of her Royal knights. And on his return Ramsay had done just that before Ailean could stop him.

The tiredness is not gone. But Ramsey has lit a fire big enough to burn a forest. To be honest, Ramsay's problem is quite simple, but now things are getting very complicated.

It was very clear that his sister did not think about the risks that he had done in a hurry. Ailean who had just been appointed as a young Emperor was required to be more concerned with royal affairs than taking care of family matters.

However, of course Ailean would not abide by those expectations. He would stand firm beside his sister, regardless of how much disobedience the council members gave. He would never allow anyone to punish his younger brother.

"Ailean," call Ramsey. "I'm asking you now before we step inside. Are you going to support me in this matter or will you oppose me?"

Ailean stopped, then turned her body to look at her younger brother. The expression on Ailean's face revealed anger. However, his voice sounded very soft as he spoke. "And I want to know Ramsey, are you deliberately provoking me with questions like that?"

Ramsay approached his brother. "I don't mean to insult you, but you've just been appointed Emperor and now you've got to be tested on this kind of personal matter by the old men. I realized that I've brought you into a pretty tough situation."

"So, are you planning on rethinking?"

"No," Ramsey replied, revealing a smile on her face. "I know you don't want me to involve the Councillors, even more so now you're struggling to convince them to agree to an alliance with the Kingdom of Andorra against the Maitland Clan, but Ainsley Callista insisted on asking for their approval. He wants his friend to be accepted here."

Ailean was very unable to accept that explanation.

"I also realized that you couldn't understand why I made that promise to my wife. But, one day, when a woman knocks on the door of your heart, it all makes a lot of sense." Ramsey Urge

Immediately Ailean shook her head in great annoyance. "For God's sake, Ramsey, I'll never understand. In this world there are no good women. They're all the same."

Ramsey laughs. "I used to believe that too. But everything changed after I found Ainsley Callista." Ramsey

"You talk like a woman" Ailean said.

Ramsey did not respond to his brother's words. He believed that, one day, after God wanted a woman to be able to knock her brother's hard heart, Ailean would understand everything Ramsey was currently feeling. And if that time has arrived, Ramsey will be very happy to remember his brother with his current evil behavior.

"Laurence indicated that they might ask my wife directly" Ramsey said, turning the topic to a major issue. "Do you think the parents really mean it?"

Ailean did not stop her steps as she gave an answer. "Not a single member of the board has ever joked, Ramsey. We know about it the same."

"Yes, of course."

"I won't let those old men intimidate Ainsley Callista."

Ailean let out a rough sigh. "I won't let it either" he promised.

"They thought they would make me change my mind" Ramsey said

"You should understand, right? if there's nothing they can do to make me change my mind. I made a promise to Ainsley Callista, and I intend to keep that promise. For God's sake, Ailean, I'll even walk through hellfire for my wife."

Ailean smiled at her sister. "Let's get everything done."

Ramsey nodded, then they walked into the door of the hall which was now in front of them.

"A little suggestion from me, Ramsey, leave your anger out the door. If they see you too emotional, they will attack you. Just say your reason calmly. Let logic guide your mind, not emotions."

"Then?"

"I'll take care of the rest."

they were both in the meeting room when the promise was made.

Not long after, one of the royal officials sent a eunuch to pick up Ainsley Callista.

Ainsley Callista was in the park. Immediately surprised when he heard that he had to come to the kingdom.

Ainsley Callista's heart was pounding very fast, with various anxieties suddenly appearing in his small brain.

Ramsey had previously told that Ainsley Callista would be called up to the board, but Ainsley Callista did not believe him. Because he had never heard of a woman who could express his thoughts directly to the top of the kingdom during an official meeting. And Ainsley Callista did not feel calm despite knowing that the young Emperor was currently his brother-in-law. No, that relationship doesn't signify anything at all.

Ainsley Callista's soul felt extremely shaken. It is clear that the current board considers itself to be insane. Yes, break. Now, Ramsey has made known about his promise to the council, and that is why Ainsley Callista must be present at the official meeting of the kingdom, so that they hear directly the explanation from him.

The only hope lies with Ailean the Emperor. But Ainsley Callista felt quite hesitant if she knew the figure of her brother-in-law.during this time, approximately two years she became Ramsey's wife, they never even spoke more than five words. However, Ramsey has always assured Ainsley Callista that Ailean is an honorable man. The man will see justice in Ainsley Callista's plea.

But, at the center of the problem, Ainsley Callista had to face the royal council first. Because it's an official meeting. Four of them probably wouldn't have spoken directly to her. They would allow their leader, Mervess Seamus, to ask Ainsley Callista directly. That man will feel his loss of dignity from talking to Ainsley Callista.

She was a woman, and was also considered an outsider because she was born and raised on the border and not from the great Stewart kingdom. In fact, Ainsley Callista was quite relieved because the Merquess was the one who would ask him, because only the Merquess was the least fearsome knight among the others.

The old knight is a man who has a soft speech that is greatly admired by all members of the kingdom. He used to be Emperor of the Stewart kingdom for approximately 12 years in power, he decided to give the title to Ailean three months ago for certain reasons.

Ainsley Callista was pretty sure Mervess wouldn't make him feel scared, at least not on purpose. However, the old man will definitely use other means in order to make Ainsley Callista release Ramsey from the promise he wants to fulfill.
