"Do you know where Barbara comes from, dear?."
Paloma stared intently at her innocent-looking husband mentioning the name of another woman in front of him.
"Why is he who you are until you ask like that Al?."
Paloma said the circus with a slightly elevated intonation, upset by Alano's attitude that seemed indifferent. Though if he himself is jealous his attitude is more frightening than Paloma.
Alano took a deep breath, thinking maybe this was a good opportunity to explain to Paloma who Barbara was. He did not want Paloma to constantly be jealous of him.
Alano held Paloma's delicate hand before she told a story and stared at the black bead.
"I don't know where you can tell about my dear Barbara, but she was the one who used to decorate my bleak childhood. Do you want to hear my explanation, dear?."
Paloma frowned, she did not really know how her husband's childhood when Dady died when he was 10 years old.
Paloma nodded in agreement with Alano's words. The handsome man leaned Paloma's head against his field chest and kissed Paloma's forehead lovingly.
"After Dady left us for good, Momy and I moved around a lot to avoid uncle. Because long ago he wanted to get rid of me in order to control the Lodovico, Corp company completely. As the sole heir to Dady's company and fortune, uncle always tried to finish me off. That's why Momy always invites me to move places because of it."
"I've also been a closed and cold person since Dady died. Until one day I met Barbara, she was my first friend at the time. He always came to accompany me and entertain me under the garden tree near the house. We became close from then on, until I finally had to go back to the mansion because uncle managed to find me and Momy."
Alano was silent for a while to catch her breath, recalling her dismal childhood since Dady's departure. Paloma gently rubbed Alano's hand, giving a warm feeling in the cold man's heart.
"Before I returned to the mansion, I met Barbara and promised to look for each other when I grew up. I also promised her I'd marry Barbara later, when the two of us met again."
Degs..
Paloma's heart throbbed at the words of her husband Alano. He reflexively stopped his hand rubbing on Alano's burly hand.
There is a sense of unwillingness when Alano says that she has promised someone to marry her, long before they meet. Paloma still quietly did not want to interrupt Alano's conversation about his past.
"I was looking for Barbara when I managed to reclaim Dady's company and all of her assets from her uncle's grasp. Although there are some assets that I can't take back, because uncle managed to reverse those assets on his behalf."
"I searched all over Italy for years, until I finally gave up because Barbara was nowhere to be found. He disappeared like he was swallowed by the earth, until the night I was negotiating with the pirates of The Pirates he showed up."
Paloma was shocked to hear Alano's explanation just now, what? Has the woman been found? So Barbara's going back to Alano's side? Then what about me? Paloma harbored in the heart feeling tight in there.
"He told me that he had been sold by his stepfather to a psychopath in Turkey. I did get information when her father died, Barbara's mother remarried but I had no idea her stepfather was a depraved one."
"A few years after her mother married the man, Barbara's mother died. Her stepfather who was a gambler and drunk sold Barbara out of need of money, so I couldn't find Barbara all along. It turns out that he was brought to Turkey to become a psychopath who served as a minister there. He was always tortured before that crazy guy fucked Barbara."
Paloma grimaced to hear Alano's story of Barbara being so pitiful. When she received a lot of affection from her parents, the woman had to endure the torment at a young age.
"So you mean you're gonna marry her too Al?."
Paloma said circus because it was not able to withstand the heat in him, hearing Alano would keep Barbara by his side.
"Oh my, of course not dear. Why I married her I'm married to you, baby. Besides, I've told her that I'm married to someone I love so much. I've looked at Barbara like my own little sister, baby."
"Then what about your promise to him Al? Are you going to deny it?."
Paloma stared fixed bead Alano brown eyes, he had indeed escaped from the warm embrace of Alano's burly body.
"Dear, listen to me. Now I'm married and if you ask me to choose, I'll still choose you baby. She is only my past, though I promised to marry her myself but now my heart and soul have only one name. I can only protect her as a sister against her sister, and I hope you accept Barbara later dear."
Huh... Paloma breathed a rough sigh at Alano's words, he felt a little calm because Alano would not marry the woman of his childhood.
"Well if it's your decision Al, I'll accept him as your brother. But promise me never to hide anything to me again Al!."
"Look, I promise you. Thank you for accepting my dear Barbara."
Alano fondled the soft lips of ranum Paloma which always became opium to her.
