The Journey To Become The Strongest

The Journey To Become The Strongest
Chapter 64 — The Brother's Concern Form

Rumors immediately circulated throughout the Blue Sky Sect by some disciples. A few disciples looked at Lian Haocun who looked quite hastily even though his expression was still indifferent and cold. Yet no one dared to greet him, as the sinister aura around him was enough to make the terrified disciples to approach him and block his path.

This rumor soon reached Tang Yelu's ears. Tang Yelu assumed that Lian Huanran had also returned and was heading to the ‘Jingga’ Sky Pavilion with Bai and Cheng.

...****************...

The Orange Sky Pavilion,

Lian Huanran squeezed his hand firmly and tears began to pour back. Chao Bence felt like he could do nothing and tried to say words of comfort that were obviously very ineffective.

Lian Huanran did not sob for too long, he calmed himself down in quite a short time. The hoarse voice of Lian Huanran who asked the question sounded,

“Where is Brother?”

Chao Bence replied, “Go meet Sect Leader, Your Sect.”

Lian Huanran nodded slowly and wiped away the remaining flowing tears. Chao Bence detected the existence of a person walking towards the Orange Sky Pavilion and immediately hid in his magical beast form. Tang Yelu broke down the door in a somewhat disrespectful manner and asked various questions in one breath while walking towards Lian Huanran.

“Hei... You all right? What the hell's going on? Where is Elder Shen? Why did your brother meet the Sect Leader? Oi... Is there someone bullying you? Tell this Senior Tang, let this senior repay you.”

Little Bai and Cheng had already approached Lian Huanra at a fairly high speed. As if sensing Lian Huanran's chaotic emotions, they comforted Lian Huanran by rubbing their heads into Lian Huanran's small hands. Lian Huanran responded by stroking Bai and Cheng's heads slowly and uninspired. Then he answered Tang Yelu's question by still bowing his head while stroking Bai and Cheng, respectively,

“I'm fine... You can find my brother to ask what happened.”

Tang Yelu looked at Lian Huanran sharply. He looked around the room and said in a whispering voice,

“Hei... You know it... Your brother is how... Anyway you can tell me to-,”

Suddenly Lian Haocun entered the room and saw the scene of Tang Yelu whispering to Lian Huanran who lowered her head, but Lian Haocun could imagine that Lian Huanran's eyes must be red and swollen from crying.

Tang Yelu muttered in her heart, ‘Truly long life.’

Lian Haocun ignored Tang Yelu and asked Lian Huanran even though the distance between them was quite far, “Did you already feel better?”

Lian Huanran did not reply and just remained silent while looking down at the blanket. Tang Yelu was stunned to see Lian Huanran's response. Usually, he will answer directly

Lian Haocun sighed in his heart and said, “I've already talked about it with the Sect Leader. Have a good rest for today.”

Lian Huanran's body froze hearing Lian Haocun's first sentence. Then Lian Haocun turned around, walked out and closed the door. The atmosphere in the room became quiet. Tang Yelu lowered her head to whisper to Lian Huanran,

“Actually what happened?”

Lian Huanran did not reply and looked up at Tang Yelu with a blank and blank look. There was not the slightest look of cheerful and jolly figure that was usually on Lian Huanran. Tang Yelu was stunned to see Lian Huanran and did not know what to do. After all, what usually comforts someone is Lian Huanran. So he could only keep silent with the silent atmosphere of entering Lian Huanran's room, as opposed to the decorations and interior that felt very bright.

Lian Huanran rubbed his eyes until his eyes became redder and began to tell stories in a hoarse voice,

“In the bed I'm in right now, six-year-old me had a nightmare... I could only curl up in fear here, hoping that someone would come... Unexpectedly Master who intended to check whether I was asleep or not, saw me curled up in fear.”

Lian Huanran's eyes became slightly watery and filled with various emotions, with a hoarse voice, he continued, “Teacher hugged and calmed me. Actually Master wasn't very good at calming people down, so he could only hug me in the hope that I felt safe and calmer. Then the two of us chatted together all night to pass the time. The topic of conversation was very light and relaxed. I can still remember her warmth until now.”

“Then on that carpet. I often hear teachers talk about things. Beautiful outside worlds and beautiful fantasy stories, those stories make me believe that this world is a very beautiful and warm world like her.”

“There was also a time, I accidentally fell while running around with the students who were playing with me. Master takes care of my wounds very carefully and gently, making me feel that I am a very precious and important person.”

“That time too, the times I felt were very unsuitable using the sword. Teacher introduced me to other weapons. Very patiently, Master explained each of the weapons in detail and asked me to try them one by one. Master was very patient and gentle when he taught me how to use each weapon. Even when I asked the same question repeatedly, he answered it very patiently and did not feel angry in the slightest when he had taught it many times.”

“There was also when I accidentally spilled hot tea onto Master's clothes. Master's clothes at that time were wet and even his skin was flushed red from the hot tea. But he did not scold me and even checked my situation. She doesn't care about herself and only worries about me.”.

"Teachers always take care of us carefully, always put us first, care about us. Teacher is a family figure and teacher who is very valuable to me."

Lian Huanran went on to recount one by one the events she remembered in her deepest memories. Sometimes he also shows what he feels. Tears flowed down his face as he told the story. All those memories were full of warmth and tenderness. Tang Yelu who heard it felt her eyes fill with tears. Although she did not know what was happening, Tang Yelu had already made various conjectures in her mind.

It was already night time when Lian Huanran finished telling the story. During that time, Tang Yelu stood beside Lian Huanran and heard her story without interrupting nor moving to stretch her stiff muscles. After seeing that Lian Huanran had already vented her emotions, Tang Yelu invited Lian Huanran to speak for a while before leaving. After Tang Yelu left, Lian Huanran with tears still flowing hugged Bai and Cheng tightly. Slowly Lian Huanran calmed down and slept with Bai and Cheng in his arms.

Lian Haocun walked into the already pitch-black room with a basin full of ice and cold water and fine cloth. He walked over to Lian Huanran's bed and sat down next to her. Then she stroked Lian Huanran's blonde hair and made sure she was sound asleep, apparently due to exhaustion.

Fortunately Bai and Cheng were also asleep so they did not realize that Lian Haocun was entering the room.

Lian Haocun placed a basin full of water and ice cubes on the table that was near the bed. He began compressing Lian Huanran's moist and red eyes carefully and slowly, afraid to wake Lian Huanran from her sleep. He compresses it every fifteen minutes per hour throughout the night, before leaving in the morning for fear of Lian Huanran waking up.
