Chapter 50 — Mystery of Pascima City (2)
The bartender began to tell me very eloquently,
“This incident started seven months ago. It is not known exactly when the victim disappeared, morning, day or night. There are now about thirteen victims.
The first victim was a man who worked odd jobs and had a lot of acquaintances so that his lost existence was quickly realized.

The bartender spent ten minutes telling the victims very succinctly.
After speaking nonstop, the bartender's voice became somewhat hoarse.
Shen Wenhuan paid him no heed and said one word, “Rumor.”
Miraculously, the bartender understood the meaning of the one word and began to say with a slight hoarse voice,
“There are many rumors regarding the events of these missing people. Some say they were kidnapped, they made offerings, they were killed by people who hated them, they, they were killed by the demon race began to invade Pascima City.”
Shen Wenhuan did not ask any more then stood up and gave the bartender about twenty gold coins.
Then Shen Wenhuan said in a cold tone, “Thank you.” Before you go outside the bar.
There was the sound of a fairly loud bell ringing. Lian Haocun, Lian Huanran and Chao Bence also followed Shen Wenhuan who rushed out.
The four of them went to the restaurant first to eat while listening to the people gossiping in hopes of getting useful information.
After eating, the four of them gathered some information from the places where the victims lived. It was only then that after the moon had almost appeared that the four of them returned to the inn.
Bai and Cheng who were locked inside the room rushed towards Lian Huanran who had already entered the room. Lian Huanran responded by stroking their heads gently and attentively. A happy laugh filled with warmth appeared on Lian Huanran's face.
Meanwhile, Shen Wenhuan, Lian Haocun and Chao Bence took off the black robes they were wearing. Then, Shen Wenhuan took out the scroll that Bao Fen had given him.
The report on the scroll was not very complete and contained only a few succinct information regarding each victim so Shen Wenhuan could only sigh at it, then put the scroll back into his storage ring.
Then Shen Wenhuan asked his student's opinion, “Haocun, what do you think of this case?”
Lian Haocun immediately replied, “I don't think it's possible that the mastermind of this case is the one who holds a special grudge against the victim. The victim is too random and the social network must be very extensive.”
Shen Wenhuan nodded and asked Lian Huanran who had taken off his black robe, “If it was Huanran, what do you think of this case?”
Lian Huanran who was asked instantly twisted her brain as quickly as possible and replied,
“I agree with Brother's opinion, but the bodies of all the victims are missing and its whereabouts are unknown. Could this have anything to do with the silver-haired man back then?”
Instantly the atmosphere became cold and tense. Lian Haocun suddenly thought of the last sentence of the bartender, 'the demon race began to invade Pascima City.’
“Better we don't first connect everything with the silver-haired man. Moreover, not necessarily he was a demon race. Why don't we look for information first from the approximate place where they disappeared?”
Shen Wenhuan also thought the same thing and quickly nodded his head,
“Alright, let's do that for the next day. For now let's rest first. Emmm..., Mr Chao, do you want to stay here with me or room with Haocun and Huanran?”
Chao Bence along with the smile on his face that had always been there the entire time, quickly picked out,
“Of course, I can't bother the esteemed Mr. Shen, I'll room with the two boys alone.”
Shen Wenhuan replied, “Alright.”
Then Bai, Cheng and Chao Bence followed Lian Haocun and Lian Huanran to her room.
“Fortunately the room is spacious.” Lian Huanran's comment looked around the room reserved by Shen Wenhuan.
While Lian Haocun who entered the room walked to the bed and immediately sat cross-legged on his bed and started cultivating. The atmosphere in the room was silent for a moment.
The destroyer who was uncomfortable and silent, Chao Bence started talking about things while trying to hold Bai who looked trembling in fear with Chao Bence. Lian Huanran noticed this and immediately took Bai back, then calmed Bai down.
Cheng who was also lying near Lian Huanran started to get up and lick Lian Huanran. The view looks very familiar and harmonious. But Chao Bence was long neglected by Lian Huanran who was more focused on playing with both cute little magical beasts.

And so was Chao Bence who was ignored because the two cute little magical beasts were forced to shut his mouth after talking nonsense for so long because no one responded to him.
The morning came quickly, Lian Huanran who was asleep on the bed with Bai and Cheng in her arms was interrupted by the bright sunlight entering the room. Chao Bence who opened the curtain, certainly as a small revenge for being ignored last night.

Due to the disturbing sunlight, Lian Huanran was forced to wake up from her sleep and began to prepare for the investigation.
Lian Huanran is forced to leave Bai and little Cheng who also seem reluctant to part ways with Lian Huanran, for a possibly dangerous investigation.
The well-dressed Shen Wenhuan with an elegant aura and the aristocrat who enveloped him was sitting down while drinking tea gracefully.
Lian Haocun greeted Shen Wenhuan followed by Lian Huanran. Shen Wenhuan nodded in response to Lian Haocun and Lian Huanran's respectful greeting.
Then Shen Wenhuan, Lian Haocun, Lian Huanran and Chao Bence who were somehow able to eat human food, ate together at a round table.
With the existence of Chao Bence who likes to talk with Lian Huanran, the atmosphere during a supposedly silent meal became very noisy. Due to the noise, Lian Haocun frowned involuntarily.
