Chapter 39 — Illusions
A peaceful world, there is a complete family, even with a fairly high status in society. It should have made Lian Haocun feel that it was the perfect thing. But all Lian Haocun could feel was a strange and awkward taste with all that.
Both the nurse and the doctor at the hospital paid tribute to ‘ayah’ and ‘ibu’ as they passed by them. A sign that the status of 'father' and 'mother' is quite high. ‘Ayah’ and ‘ibu’ responded with a nod.
'Father' and 'mother' immediately headed to the doctor's room which looked famous in the hospital which should only have made an appointment with the doctor who could enter.
Then they greeted the doctor politely and immediately explained their purpose here. Lian Haocun was immediately brought in for a thorough examination while being asked a few questions.
“The result will be announced two more days.” The doctor said after finishing the examination and began to explain the speculation regarding the state of Lian Haocun.
‘Ayah’ and ‘ibu’ asked various questions to doctors about Lian Haocun, the doctor answered him briefly and clearly made the concerns of ‘ayah’ and ‘ibu’ slightly eased.
While 'Lian Huanran' was whispering to Lian Haocun while asking questions like, “What do you remember?” and other. Although Lian Haocun did not respond at all.
Lian Haocun felt awkward.
‘This is too peaceful and perfect......, to the extent that I feel that this is not real.’ Inner Lian Haocun yet another question arose within him,

Lian Haocun did not even listen to ‘Lian Huanran' beside him who whispered various questions constantly. Feeling that her brother did not respond at all to her question, 'Lian Huanran' began to complain in a small voice while weaving her lips typical of a small child.
‘Ayah’ and ‘ibu’ completed a consultation with a doctor after confirming that Lian Haocun was fine. They agreed to postpone the vacation plans because of the condition of Lian Haocun, so they immediately went home or rather the villa.
The villa was located on the outskirts of the city, there was a fence surrounding the villa. When the car is in front of the gate, the gate automatically opens itself. It takes about thirty minutes to get to the villa.
‘Mother’ got out of the car immediately and led Lian Haocun to her room while giving Lian Haocun such warnings, ‘Do not touch the knife.’ and other warnings that really treat Lian Haocun like a child who knows nothing.
While ‘ayah’ asked 'Lian Huanran' to invite Lian Haocun to talk more and do activities that are often done first so that Lian Haocun's memory quickly recovered. 'Lian Huanran' nodded in understanding and rushed to Lian Haocun's room to play together.
‘Ibu’ is still in the room Lian Haocun tells the stories of Lian Haocun and 'Lian Huanran' since childhood with warm and soft. Lian Haocun only felt a growing alienation hearing the stories of 'mother', his heart like a sound, a voice,
‘This is not my place. Then where is my real place? But do I really want to go back to that place? Here ‘warm'...’.
Suddenly 'Lian Huanran' came and interrupted his mother who was telling the story, ‘ibu’ sighed then came out to let Lian Haocun and ‘Lian Huanran' play.
Lian Haocun decided to ask ‘Lian Huanran’, “Do you prefer beautiful dreams or the real world?”
'Lian Huanran' looks confused by that sudden question, “Hah?.... Um..... Maybe the real world... Dreams are dreams and reality is reality. Want how beautiful a dream, it remains unreal.”
Lian Haocun felt his heart relieved and calm when he heard that. Suddenly the room and ‘Lian Huanran’ were fragmented and the scope around Lian Haocun darkened.
‘I already know, thank you, Huanran.’
Lian Haocun got up and started walking in a direction.

“How can you break that illusion?” Asked the snake somewhat astonished and shocked who was now in human form.
His human form had dark purple hair with light purple eyes, a color that was very different from the color of his snake shape.
“Because it's not real.” Lian Haocun replied coldly.
The human-shaped snake laughed out loud, “Hahahahaha!! No one has broken it for a long time. But it looks like your sister is still drowning in her illusion..”.
The sharp grin appeared on the human-shaped snake's face making him like a psychopath.
Lian Haocun frowned, ‘A shape-shifting magical beast should be at least level-8 which means he is on par with a Demigod level cultivator or Soul Formation! No one can ever come back alive.’
But suddenly Lian Huanran who was lying down opened his eyes. Lian Haocun was startled and immediately approached Lian Huanran and asked her condition,
“Are you okay?” Worry could be seen in Lian Haocun's eyes.
While the snake was very surprised, ‘Who are these two boys? Why can they break my illusion?’
Lian Huanran had a slightly pale face, his head was still dizzy from the chaotic memory but he said in a weak tone, “I'm fine. What about the snake?”
Lian Haocun turned his attention to the human-shaped snake. The snake only smiled widely while letting out a slight pressure but the pressure gave off felt as heavy as a mountain for Lian Haocun and Lian Huanran who were already standing.
The snake injured Lian Haocun's arm from a distance with a flick of a finger, its nose sniffing the smell of Lian Haocun's blood many times. A surprised face that could not be hidden appeared on his face, “So you guys are the descendants of that ancient race..... Pulling!”
Lian Haocun was surprised by the snake's sudden attack but he was even more confused by the snake's next words. Likewise with the newly awakened Lian Huanran. But the snake did not let Lian Haocun or Lian Huanran think about it and gave a surprise again,
“Do you want to make a contract with me?” Said the snake was full of pressure towards Lian Haocun.
Lian Haocun felt short of breath, yet he did not show it at all.
A cold tone could be heard from Lian Haocun's reply, “Contract?”
The snake nodded, “Iya the contract between the magical beast and its master.”
Lian Haocun was shocked until he forgot the serpent's words about the ancient race,
“Why do you want to make a contract with me?” Lian Haocun asked coldly while Lian Huanran who was next to Lian Haocun tried to process what happened.
The snake did not answer Lian Haocun's question and injured his finger with a sharp fingernail that appeared suddenly. The snake walked slowly towards Lian Haocun then he placed his blood-soaked finger on Lian Haocun's forehead, Lian Haocun was unable to move at all due to the pressure from the snake so he could only stand on his feet.
The snake chanted a spell in a language that Lian Haocun did not understand. Instantly a ray of light emerged from Lian Haocun's forehead thus illuminating the entire cave. Lian Huanran reflexively closed his eyes due to such a bright light.
“Completed.” The snake said lightly.
“My name is Chao Bence. From now on you are my master. Forgive my disrespect earlier.”
