Snow In December

Snow In December
89 Ren's Weaknesses

As usual, the atmosphere in the hospital is always busy in the morning. Ren had promised Dr. Seto that he would not go anywhere, but it felt very bored to be in his room even though his father and mother had visited this morning.

"Ohayou (morning)." Ren went straight into Aoyama's room and greeted her with a happy face.

"Eh, why are you here?" Aoyama is surprised because he feels no business with Ren but instead Ren comes to see him.

"Aren't there any chek up schedules for me?"

"Before, oh there's 9 in the morning." Aoyama looked at today's schedule on the checklist and there was a ren name there.

"Yokatta (stukurlah), I've come so sensei can save time running." Ren immediately took Aoyama's marker and used it.

"cotto matte (wait a minute), it was just bought this morning." Preventing Aoyama but to no avail, he scratches his head at the thought of another doctor's remark if Ren likes to interrupt.

"Hey why don't you just go? Go to the office or go home, not yesterday you're out of your office." Aoyama was a little annoyed at Ren's presence.

"The intention is that, but I promised Seto sensei that it won't make his day off. Sensei do you have a colored pencil, I borrow it."

Ren replied casually Aoyama said, he also continued his picture in the note book.

"You think my room's a playground, of course it doesn't exist."

"Then I'll borrow your color markers."

Aoyama immediately snatches up her pencil case before Ren picks up one of her color markers.

"Sensei, you're stingy" said Ren, who was unable to retrieve one of the markers.

"Don't touch my things, shut up I'll buy you a colored pencil."

Aoyama said it nervously while hugging her pencil case. The pencil case and all of its contents were gifts from Sakura, so it was only natural that Aoyama did not like it when he touched someone else. He then bought a colored pencil for Ren.

Ren only looked at Aoyama's departure, he smiled because Ren felt that Aoyama was very honest. Of all the doctors he had disturbed, everyone was sweet in front of him. But they all talked about it in the back, only Aoyama who immediately said in front of him not even rarely directly said it.

As Ren continued to draw, his gaze was suddenly sidetracked on a medical note of his. Slowly taking it and opening it, Ren began to read the first sheet.

The first operation, the installation of the ring successfully no rejection in the body.

Second operation, double ring installation is successful. The second day after surgery the patient's body undergoes a large contraction due to rejection of the double ring.

The third operation, performed two months after the second operation. The goal is to take a double ring that is not suitable in the patient's body.

Note: The third operation failed, the patient had to perform a heart ulcer. There have been no more than five years of donor hearts for patients.

(last ten sheets) The patient's body is getting weaker, can not be operated because it takes 60 minutes.

The swelling is getting worse. No more efforts can be made, only the administration of anti-pain medication. The patient waited for his heart to stop.

Ren only smiled bitterly reading his medical records, although the results were disappointing, yet it was better than he did not know it.

"Tadaima (i'm coming). I bought you a colored pencil, better do it in your room." The new Aoyama comes in very surprised that Ren holds the medical records that he was supposed to copy.

"Sensei are you going to write the results of the examination in my medical records? I can help you anyway, I've written it often." Ren volunteered to help Aoyama.

"It's my job to be a doctor, just go ahead and draw you." Reject Aoyama.

"That's how it is, I see a lot of your work. You helped me with my job, too."

Aoyama glanced at the piled up medical records, plus he had to go around the room to check the routine.

"All right, I assume you're returning the favor."

Hearing the young doctor's words, Ren pursed his lips. Then he took the pen and started. Ren sees Aoyama replacing the ink pen that was placed in the place of his old pen. The bright yellow color of the pen made Ren want to laugh, but he paled because he saw Aoyama smiling to himself. Maybe Aoyama really likes her container.

Note :

1. The patient's pulse rate was only 40rpm/60 seconds, well above average.

Slowly Ren writes his medical notes, although very heavy but he wants to know how his body is developing.

Aoyama immediately took the medical records and closed them hard. Ren just remained silent without any reaction, he pinched his own hand.

"Stop acting like you're ready to die." Aoyama said very flatly.

Ren still pinched his hand hard, which he did to prevent him from crying.

"What does sensei mean?" asked Ren and forced a smile even though his eyes were puffy.

"I hate people who act stupid like that, you think that's cool? Very funny, acting pretty cool." Aoyama laughed cynically and looked sharply at Ren.

"Why is sensei so evil ?" Ren was still unable to accept Aoyama's words, his words were extremely sharp. Like a sharp knife that stamped his heart.

"Go, you're bothering me."

Ren picked up his note book, then rushed out of Aoyama's room. His chest feels very painful now, he fell on the floor because he could not nail into his mattress. The clear liquid from earlier in his stool suddenly broke.

"Go, you're bothering me."

"Stop acting like you're ready to die. I hate people who act stupid like that, you think that's cool? Very funny, acting pretty cool." *

The words spoken by Aoyama were still heard in his ears. It was painful, very painful because what Aoyama said was reality.

"Sumimasen, my master is about to enter." a nurse knocked on the door and entered Ren's room.

"Sir, are you okay, let me help you. Is there any pain." Ask the male nurse who helped Ren to get into his bed. Then he started checking, Ren was still crying without answering a single question from the nurse.

"Sir, please wait a minute. I'll call the doctor."

As the nurse was about to pick up her phone and call one of the doctors, Ren prevented her hand.

"I don't want Dr. Aoyama to check on me."

The nurse in front of Ren seemed confused, because Aoyama was Seto's assistant doctor. But seeing the face of such a patient he complied with his wishes.

"Wakarimasu (alright) I called the other doctor." Speak with kindness.

Ten minutes later Ren was examined and given some medicine. Soon Hinana and her friends arrive when the doctor has finished checking.

"Konnichiwa (good afternoon/hello)." said Tsubaki and went into Ren's room after the doctor and nurse came out.

"Hum." replied Ren lazily.

"How are you doing Ren?" ask Arumi and put some flowers in the vase.

"As you can see."

"Eh why does your tone suck? Sorry yesterday scolded you." Tsubaki immediately sat down next to Ren and grabbed him. Soon, Ren smiles and hits Tsubaki on the head.

Hinana saw the note book she gave was on the floor, she picked it up but the cover was a little wet.

"Could Ren cry?" hinana said in her heart.

He placed the note book on the nightstand, then sat down next to Arumi.

"Konnichiwa." Sapa Arimura and open the door of Ren's room. "Am I bothering you?"

"A-alice... Are you here too?" shout Tsubaki.

"No, come in." Ren replied and smiled as usual, though he still had pain remembering Aoyama's words.

They all told stories and discussed plans to Tokyo, everyone in the room was enough to restore Ren's smile and managed to keep him entertained.
