Rania

Rania
53. The Bangka Old Man.

''It turns out you've been hiding here Rendra'' said the person who got out of the car.

Rendra did not answer. Her tears were dripping down looking at that person. Twenty-five years ago he was still strong and dashing. Now meet an old crass with a fragile body supported by a stick to stand. With his shaky steps he walked up to Rendra.

''Didn't you tell me to come in. Or do you have the heart to see this old body standing outside for so long?'' ask again.

Rendra's tongue felt weak, even to say one word difficult. The person he had wanted to meet all along was now right in front of him.

''Big master.'' that's just the word that came out of Rendra's mouth slowly. It turns out that who came was Wiratmaja his father Gunawan and his grandfather Rania.

Rania was surprised to see her uncle. Not usually uncle Rendra silent not in front of people. Yang Rania knew her uncle would dare to talk to anyone. Even if he was a farmer his interlocutor would definitely feel depressed when talking to him.

''Who is this old man until uncle is so disinclined with him'' Inner Rania.

Wiratmaja glanced towards Rania who was standing benggong looking at her uncle. She was a little surprised to see the face of Rania who was so similar to her mother. Rania is not wearing her glasses. But he quickly neutralized his shock.

''It turns out you are very similar to Retno. Very beautiful like a betel in two'' said Wiratmaja smiling gently towards Rania. Then he entered the house even though Rendra did not allow it. The driver who drove him wanted to come in. But with a hand gesture Wiratmaja forbid it.

''Who is uncle?'' rania asked while patting the shoulder of Rendra who was still dumb. He wondered why the old man knew about his mother.

Rendra did not answer. He immediately followed Wiratmaja into the house. Because the question was not answered Rendra inevitably Rania also came in.

Wiratmaja was sitting in a chair. He leaned back as if the house was his.

''Why didn't you bring me here. Though you know I have aspirations to live quietly as a farmer in a place like this. But you even enjoy its own calmness said the gentle wiratmaja. But Rendra was still silent while standing not far from the wiratmaja sitting.

''Why are you silent. As you age your speech decreases?'' Ask Wiratmaja again.

''I'm sorry sir'' said Rendra started trying to talk.

''Why are you apologizing? Did you make a mistake to me?'' ask Wiratmaja.

''I should have visited you. But now even you who came all the way to visit me, said Rendra.

''What's wrong with parents visiting their children?'' wiratmaja said softly. Rendra came back with eyes when he heard Wiratmaja's words. He never changes. Although time has long passed but his attitude is still the same as what Rendra used to know.

''No sir'' replied Rendra hoarsely.

''You won't introduce me to him. It seems like he wants to know who I am?'' wiratmaja asked while looking at Rania.

''Rania he is your grandfather'' said Rendra looking at Rania.

Rania was surprised, it turned out that this old man was her grandfather. Viewed Rania although her face is old but does not reduce her authority.

''It's just right that uncle is so disinclined with him. Why is he here?'' inner Rania.

''Rania's a beautiful name. Don't you want to say hello to your grandfather?'' ask Wiratmaja gently.

But Rania remained silent. When she remembered her hatred for her father's family. He refused to say hello to his grandfather. Rendra who saw Rania was still silent. Know that Rania still harbors hatred for the Wiratmaja family.

''Hmmm. If it wasn't for that stupid kid couldn't have brought my granddaughter home yet. I couldn't have come all the way here. He didn't even know I was here. And until here my granddaughter did not even want to say hello. The heart of this old man is very sad, Wiratmaja explained.

''I am not your grandchild'' Rania replied firmly.

''Rania.'' said Rendra.

''Hehe. It's okay, Rendra. It's also all wrong that I haven't been looking for you all this time. And let you suffer'' cut Wiratmaja sad.

Rania still did not flinch. He was not affected by those words of regret from his grandfather. All he remembered was the suffering his mother had been through all this time. From the look of Rania's eyes, her grandfather knew that Rania hated her family very much.

''Rendra how about you come with me back to Jakarta?'' ask Wiratmaja.

''Sorry sir, I just want to spend the rest of my life here with my wife and guard my sister's grave.

''If you don't come with me. My beautiful grandson will also not come to Jakarta, said Wiratmaja. Rendra was silent how to answer.

''Even if uncle leave here I will stay here to look after the mother'' replied Rania firmly.

''But if I told Rendra to sell all his land here how?'' ask Wiratmaja.

''I'm sure uncle won't want to'' replied Rania.

''Are you sure? What do you think Ren?'' wiratmaja smiled. He knew Rendra would never refuse his request.

''Why should you force us. All rich people like to impose their will. Without thinking of others?'' rania asked with a sharp look towards Wiratmaja. The one who was stared at was just smiling.

Rendra even more dizzy with grandfather and grandson who are both stubborn.

''If you want to come to Jakarta. So uncle and this land are safe, Wiratmaja replied.

''Why is uncle silent. Is uncle going to follow everything that this old man said?'' rania asked started to get emotional. He's losing patience. He was also afraid that his mother's grave would be displaced because his uncle followed Wiratmaja's orders.

''Rania watch your talk'' said Rendra firmly.

''Haha. I like the name old bangka of you grandson'' said Wiratmaja laughing. It turned out that his granddaughter was very stubborn and not afraid of anything. Reminds him and Gunawan when young.

'' Yes, the end of uncle is silent, '' replied Rania slowly. Wiratmaja who saw Rania obey Rendra. He was more convinced to bring Rania, he had to persuade Rendra.

'' It's not so son. As uncle told me before. The great lord once saved the life of a small-time uncle. He also took care of uncle until he grew up. For uncle he was like an uncle's own biological parents. But until now uncle has not been able to repay his bud. If now he asks for the life of uncle will give it. Because it's a promise that uncle said when he helped uncle'' explained Rendra softly.

Rania just silently heard her uncle's words. He knew that his uncle had promised to disavow him.

''I will not ask for your life. But what I ask is that my grandson return to Jakarta, Wiratmaja said.

''Why do you keep forcing me to Jakarta?'' ask Rania.

''Your color is my grandson. And you should be where your grandfather is Wiratmaja replied with a smile.
