Adriel follows Zoey and peeks from the open kitchen door. “Do you need help?” Adriel asked hesitantly and timidly.
“No need, you better help Maria to prepare her cutlery only.” Zoey replied with a smile on her face while taking out the ingredients she wanted to cook.
“Good.” Adriel went back to where Mary and Mary had prepared everything and sat there drinking the beer she had just bought. When Mary saw Adriel looking at her, she told her to sit down.
“Sit.” Mary said with seriousness drawn on her face.
Adriel immediately sat down without saying anything considering this place was theirs. “Is there something you want to convey?” Ask Adriel in polite language.
“Why when talking to me do you use formal language and when talking to Zoey do you not use formal language?” Maria asked while holding a can of beer.
“Isn't that a natural thing for new people like us?” Adriel said coldly.
“But why when talking to Zoey you don't use formal language at all?” Maria asked once again with a very serious expression.
“I-It...” Adriel looks hesitant to answer Maria's question. “There's no way I'm saying that I like it, right?”
“You like Zoey don't you?” Maria said as she sipped the beer she was holding.
Adriel was shocked by Mary's words and was silent for a while. “B-How can you know?”
“Of course I know. It was already very obvious when Zoey told me about you these few days.” Maria slightly smiled as she looked at Adriel's extremely shocked expression.
“Are you going to tell him?” Adriel asked expressionlessly.
“Is there something you want?” Adriel could not believe Mary's words and suspected her.
“You don't have to suspect me like that. Take it easy, I am doing this because I really want to support you guys and also you two look very suitable.” Maria suddenly laughed at the thought that the two of them were married.
“Is there really nothing you want at all?” Adriel still suspects Mary.
“If you force like that. What if you don't use formal language on me too? To be honest seeing you use formal language on me but not on Zoey is a little annoying.” Maria still said with a happy smile on her face.
Adriel, hearing that, seems to dislike her, but she resigns and agrees because she thinks it's better than she actually told Zoey that she likes him. “Alright, from now on I will not use formal language to you.”
“Hahaha. Nice work! That's what I've always wanted to hear and your different facial expressions really satisfy me!” Mary laughed with satisfaction and Adriel looked at her with a displeased look.
“Oh yes... and one more.” Mary brought her face closer to Adriel. “Promise you won't hurt Zoey.” Brushed Mary with a smile on her face.
After whispering to Adriel, Mary stretched out and looked at the kitchen. “Zoey! Is the food not ready?” Mary asked half-screaming.
“A minute!” Zoey replied as she poured her freshly cooked food onto the plate.
“Yes. I promise I didn't hurt him.” Adriel looked at Maria with a very confident look.
“Hm... Good then.” Maria took another sip of her beer until it ran out with a calm smile on her face.
