"Ha ghost." Rex screams hysterically when he finds Vanessa cooking in the kitchen.

Vanessa who heard it just turned her lazy both eyeballs and continued to continue her cooking activities.

"Sir, there's a ghost Vanessa cooking." Rex said as he was frightened when he saw Max coming out of the room and walking towards him.

Max stared intently at her but said nothing. He approached Vanessa and hugged Vanessa from behind.

"Bag sweetie." Vanessa replies to his words and then kisses his cheek to make Max smile immediately.

Max then decides to sit on the dining table chair while waiting for Vanessa to finish cooking regardless of Rex standing around while watching their romantic scene.

"Please enjoy." Vanessa handed over a plate of food that she cooked in front of Max, then arranged the other two plates for herself and Rex.

"Thank you dear." Speak Max while scooping his food and putting his mouth in.

"Rex, come. You don't have to pretend." Said Max firmly so that his sister immediately joined him. Vanessa was sitting next to him.

"What temple?" Rex asked pura stupidly.

"You planned Vanessa's death so neatly and made me suffer for months." Max looked at Rex with a murderous look.

"Not me brother. But he wants it." Rex pointed at Vanessa. Vanessa just smiled without sin.

"If not, is it possible that you can now be like this?" vanessa looked at Max.

"Thank you dear." He then kissed Vanessa's cheek.

The Flashback

"I'm sorry Vanes, I can't help you much less protect you." Rex said regretfully as if he was the one at fault in this.

"You can still help me Rex. It's not too late." Said Vanessa who turned out to be conscious from the moment the nurse was about to move her treatment room.

"Do you want to help me?" vanessa asked back in a weak voice.

"What you said I'd try Vanes." Rex responded to Vanessa's wishes.

"I want you to help me prepare for a funeral. You've got to make it true that it's the real thing." Vanessa explains and asks Rex for help.

"For what?" rex asked confusedly at Vanessa's request.

"For my death ceremony." Vanessa answered briefly.

"You crazy? You're okay, you're not gonna die." Rex snapped a little.

"This is Rex's last way." Vanessa said again and then opened her hand.

"This medicine will help us." He showed a small bottle of liquid medicine to Rex.

"You just need to inject this medicine into my intravenous fluids. After this medicine came into my body, the reaction was that my heart stopped beating. But you only have thirty-six hours if you don't want me to really die." Vanessa again.

"But Vanes, this is too dangerous." Rex refused.

"There's no other way Rex. Only death will awaken Max. I'll call some of my men to help you." Vanessa then borrowed Rex's phone.

He contacted some of his men to get involved and help Rex. After that he returned Rex's phone.

"Now do your first job. I saw the nurse keep some new injection tubes in that drawer. You can use it." Vanessa pointed to the nightstand drawer.

"He em." Answer Vanessa nodded.

After that, Rex tried to find a syringe, and sure enough, there were some syringes in that drawer and various sizes. Rex chose the smallest one because it was easiest to hide.

He then grabbed the medicine from Vanessa's hand and pulled it with an injection that he held into an injection tube. Immediately he injected the drug into a tube of Vanessa's infusion. He then kept the rest of the medicine and his syringe in his pants pocket.

"After this you should call the doctor immediately and pretend to panic. This drug works very fast. Remember not to be caught.

Rex did not have time to answer her, arrived Vanessa's heartbeat weakened. Seen from a monitor screen displaying Vanessa's heartbeat. Soon he pressed the emergency button on Vanessa's bed to call the doctor.

It was not long before the doctor came and checked on Vanessa.

"Sir, you better get out first so we can easily handle Miss Vanessa." Said the doctor. Rex complied and walked out of the room feeling unsettled.

"Doctor, how's Vanessa doing?" ask Rex to worry.

"Sorry sir, but we failed to save Miss Vanessa." Said the doctor.

"No, it's impossible. Vanessa couldn't have gone that way." Said Rex sitting limp on the floor.

"Calm yourself, sir. God loves Miss Vanessa more." Said the doctor patting Rex's shoulder. After that, he left Rex.

Rex stared and sobbed crying over the departure of his best friend. Vanessa did tell Rex to pretend to panic, but she really panicked.

The day after the funeral and after Max left Vanessa's grave.

"Move faster or Vanessa will be completely gone." Rex said to Vanessa's men who were digging the ground cover Vanessa's tomb was deliberately made thin to be easy to dig.

Successfully after the reply of the experiment. Vanessa took a deep breath puffing her chest up as she got her heartbeat and breathing back. Soon they escape to the hospital due to Vanessa's very weak condition.

Flashback Off

"It's so bad of you?" Max throws a handkerchief in front of him to Rex's face.

"I'm not evil. Your lover loves you too much to do anything and even sacrifice his life just to pull you out of the dark." Rex answered with a stroke.

Max is touched to hear Rex's answer. He then stared at Vanessa, who had been eating her food. He was moved, because there was a woman who loved him that much.

"Thank you dear." His words then stick his forehead on the top of Vanessa's head.

"Huh, I'm full." Rex rages enviously seeing the romance of his sister and immediately leaves from there.

"Darling, would you like to accompany me somewhere to get things done?" Max asked without changing his position.

"Of course as long as it's good." Vanessa agreed.

",I promise I won't disappoint." Max hugged Vanessa.
