“WHAT DO YOU KNOW about us?” Cyrus sat inside a house, facing the black-haired man in the uniform of the Wisteria Academy. If it counts, then this is their third meeting.
The owner of the house poured a glass of water and then served it. “Not much. Just name, origin, and .. destination.”
“Then let me end your life!” said the pale-skinned man with a sharp look, not messing with his words. They were just the two of them and the distance between the houses was also quite far, so there would be nothing in the way.
“You sure you can do it? If you die at my hands, what will be the fate of your friends and mission?” Arcus clapped his left hand, knowing that his talent was off. “Without that talent, you're just a weak Elementer.”
Cyrus held back the anger, the desire to finish off the man was growing higher. But he is aware of his power. “Au—”
“One more. You don't care about our family tree? Perhaps by informing me, you will not be born in this world. Very funny, isn't it?”
The more he knows, the more I hate him. However, it is better to just leave it. Cyrus kicked the table until the water glass spilled, then walked out. “What will you do after this? Tell Aleesia?”
“What's in it? I don't want to go too deep. Even this morning, I also had no intention at all to meet you. This is my hometown, the home of the Ferront.” family
Cyrus slammed the door, then left Arcus' house. He monitored the surrounding area, looking for the whereabouts of Ignis. While walking around, suddenly someone patted him on the shoulder from behind. The man turned his head, it turned out that the team was already together with the fire creatures. Claryn pulled out her hand and gave her a blue stone. Cyrus frowned, the girl did not explain anything. However, judging from the bag full of supplies that Ayaka brought, it shows that they want to continue the journey.
The man looked up, watching the position of the sun. It's probably nine o'clock by now. He kept Claryn's stone and began to walk. “Follow me! If there is something, just ask while walking.”
The team leader followed then asked, “Where are we going?”
“Actually, I am also not one hundred percent sure, but most likely Gohol has a pretty strong element,” Cyrus replied. He never ventured into the deepest parts of Fyreville, but he knew little about the place there from his mother, especially the Grave of Heaven on Hell or Gohol. It was a sacred place where the Warlocks first contracted with spirits.
“What is the place far?” ask Ayaka. The girl looked uneasy imagining the long journey she was about to go through.
Cyrus just shook her head, but not to lie anymore. “At least the same as the previous trip, but this time we really can't fly.”
“If in doubt, why go all the way? Just try it near here,” persuade the girl while holding her hand.
Cyrus, who was feeling angry, refused to respond. He looked at Claryn as he was still confused by the blue stone. “Captain, what did you give me?”
“I told you this morning,” he replied ketus.
“I don't remember, but if you're lazy to repeat it, that's okay.”
“Blue Light Stone!” jolt Claryn, “the stone can reflect as well as multiply attacks. You need it to destroy mirror flakes.”
“Since the beginning, it was your fault for always giving information in a piece. Tell me everything now if it's still there!” leena's Word.
“Mirror flakes are destroyed in the same elemental region with the help of heirlooms. Remember that in your head!”
Not felt, it had been two hours they walked, the settlement had now disappeared from view. The team arrived near a hill filled with Poplar trees, there were also other hills on both sides, so it looked like an elongated hill that surrounded Fyreville. The most unique thing is that each hill is overgrown by different trees. However, the place was forced to be avoided because the noble families lived there and there would naturally be a great many guards.
As usual, they took the road away from the settlement. Cyrus, Claryn, and Ayaka walked leisurely while watching the surroundings, but they were suddenly struck by the movement of Leena who threw the knife back. The girl realized she was being followed. However, when examined it turns out that a crow belongs to Arcus. The black bird again dropped a piece of paper. Cyrus rushed to snatch the letter from Leena's hand, still upset, and she set it on fire.
The elf tilted his head, with a blank look he asked, “Why?”
“Sorry, my hands are itchy.”
“Good, now you guys first, I want to find my knife.”
“Be careful, fast following!” yelled Ayaka while smiling.
Leena had just wanted to search, but suddenly the crow came back and took the knife. He thanked me, then turned around to follow the team. Knowing the letter had not been read, the bird did not want to leave and finally decided to follow them.
The crow flew over the team, then pecked at the head of the man who had been snapping his letter. Cyrus clucked, wanting to catch the black-haired creature, but could not because it was too nimble. He asks Ignis for help, but is rejected. For some reason, since he dismantled the identity, his nature changed drastically from obedient to disputing.
Finally, the crow left, returning to Arcus' place to deliver his message. Tim was just gawking, not understanding what the man had just done. They prefer to ignore and focus on the journey. From where the team stood, it had already started to look at the strange forest again waiting in front.
Ayaka stopped and rubbed her eyes, making sure her vision was correct. “You guys saw what I saw?”
“You mean dead trees painted white?” ask Leena.
The girl nodded. After getting certainty about the forest, he again saw the guards around him, there was almost no gap to pass. “How, Captain?”
“As usual, diversion!” claryn replied while looking at the blonde girl.
As if it were easy, inner Leena.
He thought hard, looking for something flashy to lure the guards. Unfortunately, he only duplicated something that was around, not from the mind. The elf glanced at his friends, someone who could help was just Cyrus. “I have an idea, but we have to hide first.”
The three of them followed his plan, but since no place was completely covered, the team could only hide behind two large trees.
“Not much I want to explain. Cyrus, make a giant fire creature! That's good material for fishing rod,” Leena pinta, “if you can, which is creepy at the same time nimble.”
The man nodded and instantly let out a huge flame from his hand. Like a fire that is always moving upwards, the monster's body is formed from the legs. It almost resembles a human being, only it has the head of a dragon and has angel wings and a devil tail.
“It's enough?” ask Cyrus. He could raise it again if the three-meter-tall creature was still too small.
“Already.” Leena blinked, the iris of her right eye turning white so it looked fused with the sclera. The two shadows slowly shifted from the body of the fire creature. Now they had three fire monsters that could no doubt attract the attention of the guards.
“Why did you create this shadow longer than usual?”
The elf was wailed, “Because I took out a lot of mana so they could last longer and farther too.”
The three monsters flew through the forest, then turned towards the hill where the noble family lived. The guards immediately chased after, leaving a few still standing guard in front of the forest. Although not all of them left, but it was enough to give a gap to enter.
Arriving there, the team was surprised by the fact that the tree was not painted, but originally made of bone. Ayaka shut her mouth tightly so as not to shout, then embrace her best friend's arm. Actually, the two girls were also scared, but being more afraid of the guards, they were willing to enter the forest deeper.
Cyrus suddenly stopped, then pulled out a mirror fragment, recalling Ayaka's words. “Maybe I'll try it.”
“You want to destroy it here?” asked the black-haired girl, her fear was now a little cured.
The man nodded then walked away from them, about to put the mirror on the ground. However, suddenly an arrow of light flashed and pierced his body. Tim immediately turned his head, looking as the golden-winged girl flew over while aiming a bow at them.
This guy must have been intentional, he knew my body could regenerate. Totally disgusting, inner Cyrus.
He gripped the arrow and then pulled it out. Blood flowed profusely from his chest, making the originally white shirt turn red.
Leena creates the team's three shadows, trying to escape. However, Aleesia quickly shot three arrows at the shadows until they disappeared. The Elf girl tried to create more, but it was free. Aleesia was able to compensate for her speed in casting shadows with archery.
Ayaka's legs trembled and eventually fell because she could no longer stand up. “A-what should we do?”
“Nothing in my opinion,” said Leena resigned because she could not use shadows.
Cyrus got up, handed the mirror shards and heirlooms to Claryn. “I want to finish him.”
“Do not be stupid! He's no match for you.” Claryn blocked his hand, not allowing the man to do anything that could trouble the team again.
“He was just a student who fended off my attacks and always pointed his arrow at me, I—”
“Give me that mirror fragment! In exchange, your lives will also return.” Aleesia landed, then walked up to them.
“Do not hope! I'll give up my life as long as you don't get a mirror!” For the first time, the man said words that delighted the team.
