Osaka University Hospital

Keiko Kitagawa, 35, is a forensic doctor who works for the Osaka police department. He is one of the best graduates of George Washington University, Washington D. C., United States. He is married to a German-French businessman

Keiko has been in the forensic room accompanied by her colleague Fumiko Sora, 30. He was ready with his rubber gloves, mask and white coat.

"Ready Sora"

"Ready, Doc"

Keiko closed her eyes for a moment, reciting a short prayer. Breathe out slowly, giving strength to yourself. Although this is not the first time he did an autopsy, but the palpitations remain. It is not a thumping fear, but rather a great responsibility to give a sense of justice to the victim and his family. Because the true task of a forensic doctor is like a doctor who doubles as a detective. Forensic doctors help uncover facts related to the human body that allegedly suffered an unnatural death, investigating the evidence attached to the body to be used as data used for legal evidence.

"Let's get started"

"Ok, Doc"

Inside the autopsy room - 14 degrees Celsius, Keiko opened the black parcel. Unbinding yellow color plastic rope ties. He pulled out the body parts one by one. The victim was mutilated in every joint of his limbs. There were 10 body parts in the black plastic bag. He composes 1 per 1 body piece, like putting together puzzle pieces. There was another black plastic covering the victim's head. He took the head out of the bag that was covering it.

" This plastic is suspected to be the cause of death of the victim"

"Running out of oxygen huh, Doc?"

"Yes. Right"

He begins to photograph the physical state of the victim in as much detail as possible, and identifies the physicality of the victim and Sora is in charge of recording it. In addition, he also turned on a voice recording device to make voice notes.

"Female. Estimated age of 25 years. Black hair with a long shoulder. Height 172 cm. Weight 42 kg.There is a cherry blossom tattoo on his right abdomen"

Keiko also took out the clothes that were included in the bag. There are 3 pieces of clothing. Under wear two pieces and sleeveless dress in red. He arranged the clothes sheet by sheet on another autopsy table.

Shortly after, detective Takagi enters the autopsy room.

"Jiang, Doc. Hello Sora"

"Detective jiang. From anywhere" Keiko replied without turning her head towards Takagi.

While Sora just threw a smile in response to Takagi's greeting.

"Regular. Take care of the autopsy submission first. Ooh.s*h*it.." Takagi so see the corpse.

"The person being sought is here"

"Is there a report of loss?"

"Yes. The HK Q Club reported the loss of Cho Katou. He hasn't been to work for 2 days"

"When the time of death is estimated"

"Seeing from the green-colored stains on the hands, feet and neck, and the body that began to swell, it is estimated that his death was already 2 days ago"

"What was the cause of his death?"

"Seeing from his physical signs, the victim died due to lack of oxygen. Seen from the lips, gums, and under the nails or fingertips are bluish in color.

This indicates a process of oxygen deprivation. On the inner eyelid, on the mucous membrane of the eye there are reddish spots that indicate bleeding. In addition, the corpse was also found, bruised, darker in color at the nape and chest than the normal condition of the corpse is generally purplish. There is blood coming out of the nose, it happens because the small blood vessels in the body break so that they come out through the holes of the body. It occurs when the body experiences a second phase, namely convulsions. There is an attempt to breathe quickly, in this state will cause fluid to come out of the mouth and nose. At the time of this phase will also release mucus, sometimes it can also rupture small blood vessels so that there is also a reddish-colored foam"

"What causes the victim to run out of oxygen?"

"Most likely in the back. In the victim's vital organs there is also fluid"

Dr. Keiko took a sample of the liquid. Put it in a small bottle for DNA testing.

"We're handing this over to the lab to find out what this liquid is"

" Have to wait for 3 days to get the result" Takagi murmured.

"You know what else, Detective" Keiko tried to smile.

"Has the victim been mutilated after being killed ?"

"Looks like. This is corroborated by the absence of a resistance mark scar on the victim's body"

"Is there any personal belongings of the victim ?"

"There are only 3 pieces of clothing that I thought belonged to the victim"

"Then I'll find out. I'm out for a second. When I'm done, I'll be back"

"All right, Detective"

Takagi exited the autopsy room towards the HK Q Club.

Dr Keiko then performed an autopsy surgery. Slowly he sliced the scalpel into the victim's body, forming the letter U. Opening the layer of skin that closes the victim's internal organs. As Keiko initially suspected, the victim's internal organs swelled.

They also took hair and nail samples for DNA testing

Currently, Indonesia only has forensic doctors of no more than 200 people. This profession is much needed. For those of you who are interested in medical science and have a detective soul, this profession can be an option.. 🤭
