Doctor, I'm Not Wanting to Argue With You

Rosanne just finished checking the email assignment of students of Advanced Architectural Theory in the Master of Architecture Program at Waseda University, Tokyo. After his invitation this afternoon was rejected by Takagi, he felt the need to call the man back, hoping that the man would change his mind.

Tut's.. Tut's.. Tut's..

Until the tone ended, there was no sign that the call would be connected.

"What are you doing? Why didn't he pick up my call? Is he going to the toilet again ?"

He repeated the call several times. All he got was an answer from the mobile phone provider operator, who asked him to leave a message.

Meanwhile Keiko, who was sitting in front of the surgical room door of the Trauma Center for Emergency Installation of Osaka University Hospital, waited for Takagi who was undergoing surgery. A nurse wearing an operating gown walked out of the room while carrying a paper bag and handed it to Keiko.

"So, I'm tucking Detective's personal belongings"

"Why did you give it to me, Miu?"

"I have to hand it to who, Doc. You are waiting for him here" said the nurse who turned out to be named Miu with a smile.

"Oh yes, Doc. There was a call many times from the Ex contact number. I dare not lift it. Doctor Masao was upset, because the sound was disturbing. I just take it out with the other stuff" he said later with a small laugh.

"Is she?"

"Yes, Doc. I'm going in first. It's been awaited" Miu rushed back into the operating room.

"Miu, wait a minute"

"Yes, Doc"

"How's the operation going?"

"So far, it's been going well, Doc. Let Doctor Masao explain"

"All right then"

After Miu's nurse dies, Keiko returns to her seat. He placed the paper bag Miu gave him on his lap. Checking the contents that turned out to be a wallet, mobile phone and clothes that Takagi was wearing earlier. Her hand accidentally touched Takagi's underwear. The subconscious led him to imagine the contents of the once stored underwear that had been in the scissors.

"God. What I thought" Keiko's face met red considering her thoughts that had been traveling somewhere.

"Doctor, how's the operation going? Done already?" Kaoru asked who came suddenly and sat down next to her

"Yet" replied Keiko who tried to hide her nervousness.

"So I saw a nurse coming out"

"Oh. He left Takagi's belongings"

"O so. You okay, Doc?"

"I am ok. Why ?"

"Your face looks red. Are you sick?"

"No. I'm fine"

"If you're tired just go home, Doc. Let me wait here"

"I am ok, Lieutenant. You don't have to worry" with a more firm tone.

"All right then"

"Survictim how he's doing, Lieutenant"

"He's fine. Just can't be questioned. Because he was still unconscious, due to a heavy hangover"

"His family has been contacted?"

"Hm. That so?"

After waiting for some time, Doctor Masao Ito who handled Takagi came out of the operating room. Keiko and Kaoru who were sitting waiting, immediately stood up as soon as they saw Masao coming.

"How's the operation, Doc?" Ask Kaoru

"So like this. The Kunai that stabbed Detective Takagi in the back had penetrated the muscle and fat tissue, and almost hit his heart. The bleeding within has been stopped. Torn muscle tissue has also been repaired. At the moment, the patient is not yet awake. We will continue to observe post-operative. If there are no complications, tomorrow it can be moved to the inpatient room"

"Thank God then. Thank you for helping my senior, Doc"

"Either. That's been my job. Oh right, Doctor Keiko hasn't come home yet?" Masao turned his eyes to Keiko

"Yet. I'm waiting for the results of the operation, Doc"

"Already finished yes. You better rest at home. After all, the patient can't be picked up yet"

"Yes. You better go home, Doc. Let me and some of my comrades take turns to stand guard here" Kaoru added later.

"All right then. This lieutenant belongs to the Detective. I'll just drop it on you"

"OKs. Doc"

"Then excuse me" Keiko stepped out of the place.

"Doctor, just a second" Call Masao, follow Keiko's steps.

"Yes, Doc. What's up?"

"Do you want to eat something? Pizza maybe ? "

"Before I've eaten here, Doc" Reject Keiko politely.

"It's a pity then. I haven't had dinner myself. Will you accompany me, Doc?"

"It's night, Doctor. Anyway I also want to check some files in my room that I haven't signed yet. After that, go straight home"

"A little while, Doctor. I'll be waiting for you. I can also take you home later"

"Maybe next time, Doctor. I really can't accompany you to eat" Keiko quickened her footsteps.

"Why do you always refuse my invitation, Doctor?" Keiko stopped her steps and turned her body around looking at Masao who looked frustrated.

"I'm sorry, Doctor. If my attitude hurts your heart. But I really can't. Maybe next time"

"Why did Takagi give you a chance, and I didn't?"

"Doctor. It's already night. And this is a hospital. I don't want to argue with you. Ok." Keiko extended her legs wide leaving Masao behind her.

The handsome doctor could only look at Keiko's body which was starting to drift away.
