Ep. 25 (Part 1) PPL (Ian, Ute & Pras)

...~ IAN ~...

One of the reasons Ian had decided to continue his education at this school was the practice of fieldwork at every level of his education, where Praja was assigned to carry out a method of learning while working, provide opportunities for field practice participants to test certain ideas and techniques that have been studied in theory and apply them to real-life everyday life.

The school of this discipline, as a higher education institution of excellence and a seminary education institution in the Ministry of Home Affairs, has a vision to be a trusted institution of higher education, carrying out the task of science development, and, formation of leadership behavior and provision of skilled government cadres.

Recommendations Related to Community Service for Academic Civitas in this school of business have set the practice of the field at each level, as one of the prerequisites can rise to a higher level.

More precisely, when the theme of field practice is not carried out uniformly every generation, but is carried out based on the specifications of the study program that is associated with the latest issues, such as, which is also adapted to the needs of local governments where the location of field practices is held.

The approaches taken include:

1.   Empirical Rational Strategy, which is an approach that moves on the experience/rational objective conditions that can be accepted by various parties, namely, including Praja as the main actors and elements of the local government whose work is helped by the presence of additional personnel from Praja.

2.   Normative Reeducative Strategy, which means that in the implementation of field practices every Praja needs to pay attention to norms, both religious norms, legal norms and other social norms that apply in society. Therefore, Praja will live in the homes of residents during field practice, in order to feel the lives of residents directly.

3.  Participatory, which is an approach based on the assumption that in order to understand the experiences of others or obtain input, Praja needs to directly involve themselves in the activities carried out by other citizens/communities, including community activities and so on.

Institutionalistic, which is an approach that takes into account the existence of links with institutions/organizations in the environment where Praja is placed during field practice.

At this seminary, field practice is held every year, namely in semester II for Young Praja, in semester IV for Madya Praja, and in, in semester VI for Nidya Praja and in semester VII for Wasana Praja, with details as follows:

- Field Practice I for Young Praja (Level 1) is held at the end of semester II, aiming to know, learn and help the activities of government administration with the aim of the Village government, or better known as PPL \= Field Recognition Practice.

- Field Practice II for Madya Praja (Level 2) is held at the end of semester IV, aiming to know, learn and help the activities of government administration with the aim of the District government, to, or better known as PKL \= Field Work Practice.

- Field Practice III for Nindya Praja (Level 3) is held at the end of semester VI. Paktek Field III aims to recognize the implementation of government comprehensively with the target of Regency/City, or better known as LUK \= Village as a Laboratory Work Unit.

- The practice of BKP/Bhakti Karya Praja for Wasana Praja (Level 4) is carried out at the end of the VII semester. The practice aims to train, conduct intellectual service to the community with the aim of field practice participants able to conduct service activities and have intellectual responsibility to the community.

The implementation of this field practice is always accompanied by the Caregiver in accordance with the tupoksi of a Nanny, namely accompanying for 24 hours and pre Lecturer is also involved as a supervisor, namely assisting for 24 hours, who come to the field periodically to help and facilitate solving actual issues that occur in the field as field practice progresses. With this model, lecturers can do community service as well as be able to conduct research related to actual problems and find problem solving, which is done in the field so that the task of lecturers in carrying out tri dharma college can be more evenly distributed and more efficient and effective.

Ian felt, education that only relied on the understanding of theory let alone just rely on memorandum and written exams as a measure of his assessment, it will only form students and workers who are smart in theory without knowing how to apply their knowledge in real terms.

We are stationed in 16 Subdistricts located throughout Jepara Regency. Today is Friday, today is, deliberately chosen to give us the opportunity to get to know the residents and the environment where we live for 2 days (i.e., Saturday and Sunday) before we finally plunged into the field of government on Monday morning.

After the reception ceremony by the Jepara Regency government located in the courtyard of the Jepara Regent Office, on Jl. R. A. Kartini. 1, Jepara Regency, Central Java, we are grouped by class and placement respectively. My class and Ute are placed Annual Subdistrict, later it will be divided again into subdistricts/villages in the District. Our class is placed in Mantingan Village, one of the villages that are already quite crowded in this Annual District.

Our entourage was received again by the ranks of the Annual District government, along with the Lurah/Village heads and representatives of village/village devices throughout the Annual Subdistrict. The District Office is located on Jl. Sukarno Hatta, Jepara-Kudus, Annual, Subdistrict, Jepara Regency, Central Java. The task that we will do later is to fix the existing village government system, directing to further utilize technological advances and gilitasi village administration as well as some improvements in village facilities and infrastructure in order to better provide great benefits to the existing villagers.

After being officially accepted by the Mantingan Superintendent, we were directed to go directly to the houses of the citizens, which for the next month would be our residence. The house where Ute and I lived was not that far away. Every day we would have an office at the local Village Chief's office and to go there, I had to pass by the house where Ute and another female friend were staying. So we plan to go and go home together during this PPL.

There is something unique from some paintings of Queen Kalinyamat on display at some points of Jepara Regency, especially in government offices. Perhaps because during the reign of Queen Kalinyamat (1549-1579), Jepara rapidly developed into a major Commercial Airport in Java, which also serves the export-import activities of goods. In addition, this port is also a Naval Base that has been pioneered since the time of the Kingdom of Demak. Refers to all the positive aspects that have been proven by a Queen Kalinyamat so that Jepara became a prosperous, strong and famous country, thus the establishment of Jepara Anniversary was taken from the time he was crowned as the ruler of Jepara or which coincided with April 10, 1549. This has been marked by the launching of Candra Sengkala Trus Karya Tataning Bumi or continue to work hard to build the area, as Jepara reckless in general. So in the end, his figure is considered inspiring and needs to be immortalized in the form of paintings and displayed as a reminder.

The face and eyes of the painted figure, though not exactly the same as Ute's, somehow reminded Ian of the way Ute looked at others. Full of intensity and investigation, as if questioning everything his opponents think. Although often Ute also impresses unfocused attitude and even occasionally looks lightly around him, but Ian knows for sure how Ute analyzes everything carefully and expresses his opinion at the right time with intelligent arguments that are of course often irrefutable.

And it turns out that Ian is not alone in arguing that Ute's profile is similar to the figure of the Queen. Many villagers also think that the appearance of Ute, whose height is above the average woman in general, with white skin and face that is aga blasteran, with his nose bangir, and the way he looked at everything, as if it were the incarnation of the Queen. And without hesitation or hesitation, they would definitely take the time to look in awe at Ute when her figure entered within their visibility, he said, in fact, it is not uncommon for anyone to bend and bow their heads in respect when they cross paths with Ute. But as usual, the figure of Ute remained indifferent, even impressed like he did not feel being noticed or maybe he did not care, although occasionally also smiling to return their respect.

“Ute, are you a descendant of Queen Kalinyamat or maybe there is your family who comes from Jepara?” ask me that afternoon without further ado, while enjoying a plate of fried food and a bright green view in the front pendopo of the house where Ute lived. Today is Saturday morning, the second day we arrived in Jepara nan this beautiful.

“Entahlah, setau I Bokap it is indeed Javanese while Nyokap I am from Toraja. But Eyang from the Bokap family was already living in Kalimantan from his childhood. You also do not know if you have an ancestor from Jepara. Eyang princess, his mother Bokap, is indeed eccentric seh personnya and has a unique hobby or pleasure. Aga is different from friends of his age who like to paint or collect paintings, Yangti even likes to carve wood and his house is full of statues carved by famous craftsmen.” replied Ute with a bright view, looking up, as if remembering her grandmother.

Can't help opening the story of Queen Kalinyamat at HP and showing some photos of the Queen to Ute, I again said: “Hm.. aga interesting tuh to be traced your family history ‘Te. It turns out that you are one of the descendants of the Queen.. Feel ga seh loe tuh aga-aga similar to his appearance?” ask me again while back surfing the google world and take a piece of fried banana that is still warm from a serving plate and put it in the mouth with one mouthful.

“Seh Ian's time? But indeed yes, honestly I do feel dejavu is the same atmosphere of life in Jepara, at first I think because it feels familiar with the statues in the Yangti house, but after I examined more dalem, there seems to be another reason deh.” beautiful face Ute again glared with a look that looked hard thinking.

“Ya already, then ask Bokap and Yangti loe aja ‘Te, do not seriously banged so. If you want tomorrow we take a walk to the Tomb of the Queen Yuks. According to historical records that I had read neh, the figure of Queen Kalinyamat died in 1579 and was buried in Mantingan Village here, next to the tomb of her husband Prince Hadirin.” I said finally while closing the browser on HP.

“Okey, what time do we walk?” tanya Ute enthusiastically.

“Aga pagian aja yes, while exercising in the morning deh.” I replied while moving home considering the natural atmosphere turned out to have darkened.
