End Journeys
what are you listening to?

"This is the apple orchard that we're aiming for today" Jennifer said.

"Well, it's so big" Ruby was amazed.

Meanwhile, the children were sitting on a stretch of green grass that was slightly wet from being exposed to the morning dew.

"I'm so tired" said Zoe.

"Rest first. Kids, you all take a break first, right" Jessica asked the kids to take a break before they went around in the apple orchard.

"Where is the owner of this apple orchard?" ask Ruby.

"Maybe he's on his way. I called her this morning, she said she had to buy something first" Jennifer replied.

As usual, the children did not sit for long. They run around in the apple orchard, playing chases with each other. Jennifer who just sat down now has to get up again and watch the children who are playing.

"Zoe, why don't you come play with the other kids?" ruby asked Zoe who was sitting next to her.

"Because I have to do something" replied Zoe.

"Something what? You were given a special assignment by Jennifer?" Ruby curious.

"You think I should come with you, right?" Zoe shifted the subject.

"Yes, but I have to tell Jennifer this first" Ruby replied.

"Well, 'cause I'm actually scared, '" Zoe wanted to be more open to Ruby.

"What's really going on? Just tell me," Ruby was curious as well as hoping that the information she obtained could be useful.

"I'm scared like Emily and the other friends" Zoe replied without giving any further explanation.

"What happened to them?" Ruby was getting curious.

"They just disappeared. After we asked where Emily was going,Jennifer said that someone had adopted her, but if someone came to adopt a child, we would all be asked to gather so that people who want to adopt the child can choose who they want to be adoption," Zoe explained.

"Did Emily and the other children go together?" Ruby started looking for the information she needed.

"No. Emily recently left without saying goodbye. And the other kids were gone before Emily. Do you remember the documents I gave you? Those kids are what I mean" said Zoe.

"So all the children in the document went for adoption but in a way that is not as common?" Ruby ensure.

"real brother. But what scares me is that my name is there. Though I clearly still live in this orphanage my name should not be stored in that document. And I don't want to get out of here actually but someone said that brother would come help," Zoe continued.

"And one more thing. I saw Emily go with the old man. I don't like it" Zoe gradually began to complain during her time at the orphanage.

"Whose old father?" ask Ruby.

"How do you know so much about me? Who the hell are you?" Ruby was now feeling a little scared of Zoe.

"Sstt.. Bi Ellen," Zoe whispered.

"alright. This is all too obvious" Ruby seemed to understand where this story would flow.

"Shhhh.." Zoe again gestured for Ruby to shut up.

"Why?" ask Ruby. He felt the situation was safe because Jennifer was standing away from them.

"Why are you always eavesdropping on my every conversation?" Zoe spoke to one of the children.

"Who is eavesdropping? I'm just resting here" the curly-haired boy denied.

"liks. Ever since Ruby's sister came to the orphanage, you've been eavesdropping on my conversations with her," Zoe tried to corner the boy.

"I also want to get closer to Ruby's sister. Are you the only one who can play with him?" the boy sewot.

"Already, so. Stop your quarrel. Everyone can play with me" Ruby interceded.

"He doesn't want to play with his brother. He was told to spy on brother," Zoe warned.

"Speek at me? I don't understand why I should be spied on hahahaha," Ruby laughed as if she didn't believe what Zoe said when in fact every word that came out of Zoe Ruby always considered.

Jennifer who heard the commotion came to the three of them. The attention of other children who are playing is also directly focused on them.

"What's wrong? Why do I watch you guys like you're fighting?" ask Jennifer.

"He was always eavesdropping on my conversations" Zoe said.

"I'm not eavesdropping!" the boy denied.

"He accused me of spying on him and also Ruby's sister" the boy added.

"Zoe, why are you accusing her like that?" jennifer asked Zoe.

"That's it. We came to this place for fun. Jenn, there's something I want to talk to you about" Zoe distracts Jennifer. Zoe stayed there while the curly-haired boy went and played with the other children.

"What's up, Ruby?" ask Jennifer.

"I want to adopt Zoe" Ruby said to the point what she wanted to say.

"He's a dangerous kid" Jennifer responded.
