End Journeys
running in a never ending maze
Ruby, Felix and Thomas arrive at the orphanage. Unlike usual, the orphanage courtyard looked deserted. Usually children will exercise in the morning in the orphanage yard. Ruby put on a flat face and walked into the orphanage. The children in the orphanage were having breakfast.
"Good morning, boys," said Ruby.
"Good morning," the children replied in unison with enthusiasm.
"You had breakfast earlier this morning" Thomas joined them.
"Today we're going for a walk, brother. So everything had to be settled early in the morning," Zoe appeared from her room.
"Well, I don't know that today we're going for a walk" Ruby didn't know and Jennifer didn't tell me anything before.
"This is actually our monthly agenda. Every month we would take a leisurely walk through the orchard," Jennifer appeared from the same room as Zoe.
"It will certainly be very exciting," Felix who had been silent from earlier now joined in talking.
"Is your condition okay? Can you come with me?" Jennifer looked a little worried and Ruby looked a little dislike of Jennifer's attitude.
"I'm doing fine. He took good care of me," Felix replied as he glanced at Ruby.
"Wouldn't I take care of you all day?" Thomas protest.
"You don't have to come. Thomas I'm taking Felix. Let me and Jennifer go" Ruby said.
"alright then. It's up to you" Thomas assures.
"I'm doing fine. You don't treat me like a sick man" Felix refused Ruby's advice.
"You still can't come. Think to me, Felix!" Ruby raised her voice in the hope that Felix would obey her.
"You have to follow what he said. Rather than him being angry again," Thomas tried to persuade Felix.
"All right, I'll stay here until you guys get back. It would be very boring" Felix complained.
"Who said it would be boring? I'll make sure you won't get bored while you wait for us to come off on a leisurely walk, "now Jennifer's joining the adult chat.
"What can we do here? Is there any fun activity?" Thomas curious.
The children follow Jennifer while Ruby walks the very back watching the children. After Jennifer's announcement, the children returned to the orphanage to pick up the backpack they had prepared early in the morning.
"Alright kids, quickly regroup in the yard," Jenn called from outside. Meanwhile, Ruby approached Thomas and Felix who were lying on the sofa.
"Please take care of Felix" Ruby told Thomas.
"Of course.Lagipla she doesn't need me that much. Like yesterday, he just spent time sleeping and didn't need too much help from me" Thomas replied.
"Just watch him, I'm afraid something's going on."
"God, you're talking about me in front of my eyes" Felix interceded. She was pleased with the attention Ruby gave her.
"If you feel sick just tell Thomas. Don't try to hide something once in a while" Ruby was a little threatening.
"Yes, baby" Felix replied.
Ruby then leaves the orphanage, and at the same time a group of children led by Jennifer set out to start their leisurely walk.
From the door of the orphanage, Thomas codes Ruby to check her phone.
"What else is this," Ruby reached into her pants pocket and grabbed her phone.
"It looks like today is going to be a great day for all of us, the message read.
"I don't understand. It's up to them, I don't know what their plans are" Ruby muttered without replying to the message Thomas sent her.
One more message came in, this time from Felix.
"We're going to do something crazy. Please slow down Jennifer and the children's troupe back."
Ruby let out a long sigh because she did not know what the two men had planned. Plus Felix's condition that looks not so fit makes Ruby more worried.
"Somewhat else they're planning. I'll just focus on my plan. Let them finish the part on their own, "unknowingly Ruby spoke to herself with her phone.
