Episode 24. the emperor's family

“Are you talking to someone?” er asked, Audrey laughed out loud to cover up her nervousness.

“Se-someone?? Who, I don't talk to anyone!”

“Heh, so? Then who is Rhys?” er asked in a flat tone, Audrey almost choked on her own saliva. He looked at Er with round eyes.

“R-rhys, who is he? I-I don't know.”

“Already, Audrey. You're not good at lying.” Er jumped down and walked into Audrey's room, she looked around.

Audrey sighed, she turned towards Er. “No one is here, you must have heard wrong.”

“Oh, it looks like I did hear wrong.” Er sat on the edge of the mattress and looked at Audrey who was playing her fingers nervously.

“Not be that sweet, sit here.”

Audrey sighed, she sat down on the edge of the bed without saying a word.

“Audrey, I'm here to say something,” Er said in a low tone, Audrey looked at him confused.

“About what?”

“My father.. he wants to match me with his friend's son.”

“What?? Butwhy?? Didn't you promise that you'll forget about it! Why did your father match you??” audrey asked in surprise, Er shook her head not knowing.

“After I returned, my father suddenly broke off our engagement. And I. can't refuse his request.”

Audrey massages her temples. “How else, if that's your father's request and you can't turn him down. Then it's okay, I know you're also in a state of worry right now. Don't worry, you better go home and meet your fiance often.” Audrey smiled sweetly.

“Emm, well. I also have to go back, maybe I will rarely come to see you. But don't worry, if you can. I will definitely persuade Dad to cancel our engagement!” er said seriously, Audrey smiled.

“A-what?? Sick of it!? I'm so handsome, why you-” Rhys no longer continues his words when he sees Audrey's murderous gaze, he sighed and walked out.

Not long after Rhys' departure, a small magic ball flew in from the window and into Audrey's body. The girl again sighed.

'Huh.my energy has not recovered even though they have returned.'

“Miss Audrey,” calls Gina while running in a hurry, Audrey who is sitting casually in her room turns to the door while drinking tea gracefully.

“What's up, Gina. Why do you look so pale?”

“N-none.. Sir, he wants to match you!!”

Audrey immediately coughed, she smacked her chest a few times until she finally stopped. Audrey looked at Gina with round eyes. “What?? Butwhy? I haven't even finished school! Why could it happen? Did anyone instigate Father??”

“Nona, I heard. Lady Nia proposed this to Mr. Grand Duke.”

Audrey rustled in frustration, she rubbed her rough face. “Jeez, why did aunt act rashly??” Audrey murmurs.

“N-miss.”

Gina nodded, she walked out while occasionally turning her head towards Audrey. 'Is Miss going to be okay?'

“A-- Greetings, Your Highness.” Audrey immediately bowed respectfully as she looked at the imperial family who were talking to the Grand Duke, I don't know what they wanted to get here personally.

“She must be your daughter Audrey, she is so beautiful and sweet,” praise the Emperor ended with a gentle smile.

“I'm honored to get compliments from you.” Audrey still bowed respectfully.

“Audrey, sit there.”

Audrey said she stood up straight and sat down next to Mike who was staring intently at someone.

“As we talked about earlier, My son. Xavier Amory Arch, will be betrothed to your daughter.. Audrey.”

Audrey was shocked to death, as well as her three other siblings. A murderous, cold, and annoyed gaze immediately led to Xavier who looked surprised.

'What the fuck?? Wait, did I hear you wrong?? That's right!!' Audrey felt like crying blood right then and there, maybe she was engaged to someone she avoided and hated. Audrey sighed, she tried to remain calm even though it felt like she wanted to tear apart the aunt, father and emperor who had just cut off her engagement without notice.

“A-anu.”

“Everything has been decided, we will have an engagement in a month,” said Grand Duke who immediately interrupted Audrey's speech.

“Tap--”

“Well then, we should also excuse you. Sorry to bother you.” The Emperor and his other family stood up, the Grand Duke, Audrey and his three older brothers also stood up.

“Let me drop off,” bargain Grand Duke, he then escorted the imperial family away. Audrey was sitting on the sofa, her brain as if it had not digested what had just happened.

“Audrey,” call Mike while holding the sister's shoulder, Audrey sighs and stands up. He looked at the three men in front of him in turn before throwing his face away.

“I'm going to the room, you guys rest too.” With a lethargic face, Audrey walked into her room.

Mike, Caesar, and Damian stared at each other. They hugged each other and formed a small circle. “What should we do? Looks like Audrey doesn't know about this engagement either!” whispered Mike.

“For sure, we must make the crown prince cancel his engagement! I don't want my sister getting engaged to someone like her.” Damian joined in, Mike frowned.

“She's also my sister!”

“Not, she's my sister!”

“She's also my sister, brother Damian!”

Damian and Mike began to quarrel, Caesar sighed and grabbed the ears of his two younger siblings.

Mike and Damian, both grimacing in pain and begging Caesar to let them go.

“Are you satisfied with arguing?? Audrey is in a bad mood right now, and you guys are thinking stupid things instead!?’” caesar asked the circus, it immediately silenced Mike and Damian.

“Sorry, Sister Caesar,” said the two together, Caesar took off his jewel and folded his hands in front of his chest.

“For now, we should focus on entertaining Audrey and think of a plan for the crown prince not to become engaged to her.”

“But sister, how to entertain Audrey? You know, when he's upset. He will not want to talk to anyone, especially if you meet him directly.”

Caesar held his chin thinking, a grin grin slowly adorning his handsome face. “I know how to make Audrey's mood improve.”

'Oh yes, that's right!' Audrey throws a small pot to the floor with all her might, her attempt to get away from the protagonist instead of failing. And now, he's getting tangled up in a relationship he shouldn't have.

Audrey clenched her hands. “I have to cancel that engagement, any way!”
