Being an Antagonist in a Novel
Episode 9's. Childhood friend

“Audrey, actually-”

“Have my brother, you will explain it anyway. I saw it for myself, Father wants to kill me.” Audrey stood up she looked at her three families in turn, a disappointed look emanating clearly in the girl's eyes.

“Ayahanda, Brother Mike. Brother Caesar, if you hate me it's okay. But please don't kill me.” Audrey felt very claustrophobic, in her first life. He died avoiding engagement, in his second life. He even wanted to be killed by his own family.

“Audrey, you misunderstood. Ka-”

“Come out, all of you out of my room!”

“Audre-”

“You're out!!”

The Grand Duke and his two sons looked at each other, they sighed simultaneously and decided to come out for Audrey to calm down first.

Audrey sat on the edge of the bed, she rubbed her face rough. 'Is that how much you hate, you guys? Then why didn't you kill me when I found out? Why would you rather explain it??'

Audrey massaged her temples dizzy.

“What's up, Rey?”

Audrey clucking. “My name is Audrey, not Rey. I'm not a man either, okay!?”

Someone walked in from the balcony, the cloaked man Audrey recognized.

“Good, good. Beautiful Audrey, smart and good.”

'He's Er, Audrey's best friend since childhood. Only she could accept Audrey's flaws and advantages, Audrey's inner self.

“What's up, Audrey? You seem to have just cried.”

“Heh, crying? I'm not that cool. Understand?”

“No,” Er sat next to Audrey with a robe still covering her face.

“Aren't you bored and sultry with that robe?” ask Audrey curious.

“No, there will be you who can cool me down.”

“You were praising or insulting me?” Audrey rolled up her sleeves, preparing to hit Er if the answer didn't match what she thought.

“I praise you tau!” annoyed Er, Audrey shrugged her shoulders indifferently. He sighed and lay down.

“What's up? You look so depressed.”

Audrey turned her head towards Er who was staring at her, she sighed. “I don't know, somehow. My family wants to finish me off for no reason.”

“A-what? Stops you, but why?” tanya Er stammered.

“Do not know, I once accidentally heard the talk of Brother Damian and Sister Caesar.” Audrey sighed, Er looked stifled. I don't know what happened to that guy.

“What's up, Er? Do you look flabbergasted or.. frightened??”

“Ah, t-no. I'm fine.”

Audrey ooh, she got up and sighed. “If my family is also after my life, there is a chance that I will die at any time. So Er, I want you to grant one of my last wishes.”

“A-what do you mean, Audrey?? Why are you saying that? Y-you're like gonna leave me forever.”

Audrey looked at him with a faint smile.

“I did say goodbye, I don't know when I'm dead. It could be today, tomorrow, or maybe the gods still give me a chance to live up to a year.”

Audrey remained silent, unexpectedly. Er hugged him tightly. His heart was beating twice as fast as usual.

“Don't say that again, I don't want to lose you. Audrey.”

Audrey stiffly raised her hand and rubbed Er's back. “M-sorry, I won't say that again.”

'There is something strange about me! Why is my heart beating so fast?? Jesus, am I having a heart attack??' inner Audrey was shocked.

“Audrey.”

Audrey leans from her daydream. “Hm, why?”

Er took off her embrace. “Audrey, do you.. want to remain my friend?”

“Listen Er, you're my best friend forever. Nothing will replace your position in my heart!”

“As a friend?” er continued in a bitter tone, Audrey nodded with a puzzled face.

“Of course, what do you think?”

Er sighed. “No, I didn't think of anything.”

“Are you jealous??” audrey asked with a dirty smile, Er threw away her face.

“U-for what? I don't like you!”

“Eh, really?? Erku,” press Audrey at the end of her sentence, she chuckles little looking at Er who looks tense.

“K-you!!”

“Ahahaha, I'm just kidding. Don't put it to heart.” Audrey laughed out loud, the burden in her heart seemed to disappear.

Er screeches. “Basic sucks!”

“Sorry, sorry. I promise not to repeat it again,” Audrey said after her laughter subsided, she wiped a drop of water from her eye patch.

Er clucked, he folded his hands in front of his chest while throwing his face away. “No will! I'm mad at you today, goodbye!”

Audrey blinked confusedly. “Says goodbye, but you're not moving from your place at all.”

“You want me to go?? Okay, I'm leaving now. Bay!” Er stood up and walked away, but her robe was pulled by Audrey so she could not go anywhere.

“Let go of my cape!” annoyed Er.

“Back or I'll pull your cape!”

Er snorted, she forced to sit down next to Audrey. The man turned his back with his hands folded in front of his chest.

“Are you angry?” audrey asked, but Er did not answer her question at all.

“Er, are you mad at me?” Audrey put on a face of compassion, but Er still didn't care about it at all.

“Er!!” Audrey shook Er's body until the man turned around and looked at her in annoyance.

“You should have persuaded me! Not that it makes me even more upset!!”

“Ya, sorry. I don't know how to persuade you.” Audrey scratched her nape with a silly smile.

“You want to know how to persuade me?” Er alluded to a mysterious smile.

Audrey nodded.

“Cium ak-arg.” Er immediately grimaced in pain as Audrey was touching her forehead.

“Your mouth wants kurebok what am I sewing??”

Er instantly covered her mouth with both hands while shaking rapidly. “I'm just kidding, Audrey. Why did you want to rip my mouth off anyway? You are cruel, very.very cruel!”

Audrey rolled her eyeballs. “Go there, you make me dizzy.”

“Tap--”

“Go, Er!”

Er sighed, she stood up and forcedly walked to the balcony while occasionally glancing at Audrey who was not looking at her at all.

Audrey was lying on the bed, she was rolling around to relieve her sense of boredom but it was useless.

Audrey woke up, she was staring around her room meticulously. He sighed softly and stood up, Audrey walked up to one of the tables and opened her drawer.

She pulled out a thick book with foreign inscriptions, Audrey sat on the edge of her bed and opened the book.

'Is this Audrey's diary?'

'The day I've been waiting for will come, the day of my debuntant. Where after that day, I can get into the academy like Mike's brother. I was looking forward to that day, but the pain kept gnawing at my body. I'm afraid, someday. I could no longer bear the pain and hurt my own family, they always gave me something in my food every day. I'm aware of that, but I've always believed. They won't do anything that will hurt me, because they love me more than anything. But, it seems like what I thought all along was wrong. The medicine that was always mixed with my food instead made the pain even greater, I felt like I was skinned alive after eating the medicine.'
