Back To the Beginning
The Northern Area of the Breithorn Kingdom

We had arrived in the North area using a horse carriage that had driven us from the southern area earlier. You parted with the horse-drawn carriage at a public place where tourists stopped.

Sure enough, even during the day, the cold air had begun to feel slowly. I prepared my body using the clothes I prepared. So too with them. We don't want this to be a hindrance to our search.

Currently we blend into one with the crowd of other tourists who also use the warm clothes they have. At the end of it, the people here began to spread towards where they wanted to be.

Above here I can see very clearly the green mountains which are meant by some houses of villagers who are in the middle of the vast field of green grass. This spot is best for viewing the uploaded scenery.

"Well! So this is in the North!?" said Eli saw the scene by holding the guardrail.

"You've never been here?" ask Noland.

"Not yet, this is the first time I've gone far."

"What do you think, Chloe?" my many.

"It's beautiful..."

"Right, but there's a place even more beautiful than this! It was the Alps!!" I said with pride.

"Alps? where is that?" ask Chloe.

"ah! The alps! I see you in the papers!" said Eli.

"The alps are where Arthur and I were born, we spent our childhood there" Noland said.

I nodded, "That's right!"

"Heh?! you guys are from the Alps?! I just knew that."

"Alps... Chloe wants to go there."

"Sure, I'll take you there later, someday. We're having fun there!"

"I want to come too!"

"okay-okay. Let's continue this journey before afternoon."

We continued our journey deeper, looking for lodging to rest.

The side of the road we crossed was mostly covered by weeds and grasses that were being eaten by some cows belonging to the surrounding population. Eli was very interested in the scenery he was seeing right now. He tried to take a closer look at the herd of cows partying in the middle of the field there at the boundary of the wooden fence.

"You look very enthusiastic."

"This is the first time I've seen a cow this close!"

"Chloe, have you seen a cow before?"

"Earlier. I feed them often."

"Ah, you are so cute!" eli approaches Chloe and squeezes her cheeks.

"By the way, are you hungry now? we've spent our food on this long journey."

"Actually, I'm still not hungry, but it would be terrible if we ran out of food here."

"Then will I make you some food?"

"Food? where did you get the ingredients?"

Eli moved his gaze towards the river and pointed in that direction confidently.

"Eli, that seems like a bad idea. We better get to the inn."

"Heeeeh" said Eli disappointed.

"All right, keep going! good food is waiting for us at the inn!"

"Lodging, I wonder what it's like."

"Eli, don't take them to a match, okay?"

"I can't promise."

We continued our journey towards a more densely visible settlement. While walking I held onto Chloe and moved her body to the right and to the left like a metal detector. Looks like Chloe's not comfortable with that, then I just stop.

The road in front of us is a calm medium-sized river that when viewed more closely there is fish life in it. It's also great that Eli could have known life from such a far distance. Was he just guessing?

Among the river there is a bridge that should be passed by many people, but is currently quiet. It's lucky then. To get to a more populated settlement we just need to cross the river via that bridge. But it's not as easy as we imagined.

Earlier a few steps to the bridge was heard a loud voice calling us from behind.

"HEY'S OVER THERE! WATCH OUT!!"

Hearing that, we turned our eyes quickly back and found something that we had only seen in our lifetime.

The one who called us was a shepherd boy who was running to chase after something. The big sheep THAT WAS RUNNING RAMPAGE TOWARDS US!!!

We were all shocked by this sudden incident. Without a second thought, I shouted to tell him what to do now.

"EVERYTHING'S SPLITTING!!"

Having no other choice, we split up with Chloe handled by Noland, while Eli and I split up independently.

We scattered in all directions, hoping that the sheep was confused, but when I looked back.

"Arthur!"

AAAA!!! WHY SHOULD I TRY!!?

I threw the bag on my back to the ground so as not to hinder me from running. I was planning to climb a tree to save myself, but the nearest tree I saw right now was across the river.

I had no choice but to run as fast as I could towards the wooden bridge, trying to maintain the distance between me and the scary sheep.

It seems like the current Goddess of Fortune is not on my side. A few steps above the bridge, my feet slipped due to the slippery bridge overgrown with moss. As a result, I could not control my body, and I was now growing right into the river. I'M GOING DOWN!

I controlled my body as much as I could to avoid my head falling first.

Sure enough, I also fell into the river with my right side hitting the surface of the water. It was fortunate that I fell in the shallow part of the river and the flow was calm. Because I was still conscious I tried to stir up my body and sit in the shallow part of the river to look around.

The sheep that was after me was on the bridge and was still looking at me. He's really after me. I'll bet that the sheep are laughing at my ridiculous and shameful behavior.

I saw that the shepherd boy ran to the sheep on the bridge who did not go further. While Noland, Chloe, and Eli saw me from a distance in a split position.

Next, I looked near my body. The height of the river water was in my stomach, and the water immediately permeated the entire fabric of my warm coat and gave an incredible cold sensation directly to my body coupled with the hostile wind.

"Othur!! I think he froze to ice!!"

"Hurry up and get him out of there!"

That's the only sound I remember as much as I can.

I passed out cold.

......................

I realized on the bed with a blanket covered my body. Because of this blanket, now I feel hot. I got up and moved the blanket and found myself covered in my other warm clothes.

"Ah you are awake" said someone in the corner of the room.

There was a young man chasing a raging sheep towards me.

"Here, where are you staying?" my many.

"Yes, right... Pardon me! due to the negligence of guarding my sheep, you became like this, "he said apologetically.

"Ah, it's okay. I'm better anyway now. By the way, where's my other friend?"

"Ah, they... One named Eli and the other, Noland it looks like they're helping my mom cook at my parents' house there..."

Not giving the young man a chance to tell her whereabouts, Chloe emerged from my other side.

"You are awake, Witch-liar-dad."

I haven't heard that name come out of him in a long time.

I tried to get out of the bed and walk outside. Finally I realized that it was dark with the lights of the surrounding houses lighting up on the windows and the sound of the bells of the sheep ringing.

"So, it's night."

"Near night" explains Chloe.

"Ah, sorry but I have to put my sheep in the cage first. You can see from that chair if you want" said the shepherd.

"Ok, thank you."

Chloe and I sat on the long chair on the porch where she lived to see the first time the shepherds put their sheep in the barn. This is a spectacle of colossal.

"Ah yes, because today is dark and as my apology you can stay in that little house. It belonged to my family and wasn't in a while. So you can stay there for a while."

"really?! thank you very much!"

"Hehe, don't think about it."

Problems are resolved. He looks very good.

The shepherd went down to his field, approached his sheep, and stroked their heads and feathers. Enough with that, the shepherd took an object from his waist and pointed it to his lips. It's a bamboo flute.

The shepherd played his flute and produced a melodious sound, provoking the interest of the sheep. Lured by the melodious and soothing melody of the night, the sheep follow their owners to their stables orderly and serenely.

Hearing the melody made me feel calm in the dark night, watching him put his sheep in.

But my left hand suddenly felt very painful as if a muscular man was squeezing my hand hard. My reflexes looked to the left and found Chloe blankly pressing on my hand with her tiny right hand. He's 'possessed'.
