PHASE 7 . VENTURE

A man looks a little slow walking in the middle of the expanse of uninhabited land. The move is not necessarily direction. Her disheveled hair and appearance, he didn't even care about it anymore. He looked up, talking to the sky.  Unlike what most people think, the man is actually lamenting his fate right now.

“I'm tired. Where else would I look? Sky, help me!”

He switched, knocking his body rough to the ground and leaning on a ruined building—ah what building because it was destroyed. His eyes looked at the rifle in hand, then flipped around for a moment while looking at every inch of his cheap weapon. While his mind was wandering, remembering old things.

“Jason. You're a really strong man. Tough stud. You ran into danger, but even your dead friend,”

the noise, then a moment's grin, restrained the tingling turmoil in his brain. “Then you walked, found a spot, and now you go again to try new luck. Who are you, huh? You're not a poker player anymore, man!”

He let out a long sigh, trying to calm his mind for a moment, until something caught his attention. Two people

the teenager was walking unsteadily, with a boy being carried by one of them. Jason frowned, then sharpened the focus of his vision. Until finally, he got up and rushed to the two teenagers.

“Hey!” yells. “Whose are you?!”

The young man holding a boy gasped at Jason while slowly tapping the girl nearby who was about to collapse. Luckily Jason rushed to catch the girl's body.

“Who are you?” ask the young man.

“Jason. I'm from the eastern alliance spot near here,” replied the burly man. “And you? Why these guys?”

“Jo. Call me Jo,” replied the young man. “I really don't know. All I know is that it's allergic.”

Jason carefully examined the wound spots on the body of the girl he was presenting now, then turned to the body of the little girl Jo had been carrying since.

“This is not an allergy. It's the effect of poison,” Jason said. “We'd better take them to spot!”

Jo nodded weakly.

“You can still walk?” jason looked worriedly at the pale-looking young man.

“I'm fine.”

Adara blinked her eyes for a moment. His body felt weak and of course he remembered that he was walking

far for the sake of finding a safe spot—with Jo and Jun. However, he now realized that his body was lying on a bed.

The girl made clear her vision, looking around the room where many empty beds were there. Jun

it looks good on one of the beds not far from him. While near the door of the room appeared three men were engaged in serious talks.

Jo gulped for a moment while leaning his body against the wall of the room. “So is it too late?” tanyanya.

“Not really. If you take them late, tomorrow they must have .. um.. well, you know,” replied a man wearing a doctor's white coat. “But they were lucky only to be exposed to a slight effect of that poison.”

“Toxic smoke, yes?” jason muttered, standing next to the doctor.

“For a long time the western alliance used such a weapon. Not to mention if they manage to create another weapon of mass destruction, I cannot possibly continue to control the existing drugs,”, said the doctor. “Well, you yourself know that this is the only spot that still uses Tarnnet[1] so that the western alliance cannot see its existence. And all we can do here is wait for certainty from the center for our future next.”

“What? Tarnnet?” Jo frowning.

The doctor nodded. Until finally amazed by Jo's response which immediately patted his forehead very hard.

“What's up?” tanyakanya.

“We searched for a spot to take shelter during this time after our previous spot was destroyed because of that smoke. Urghs! I just don't think I saw it. Tarnnet, ‘kan, make this spot so see-through!” grumbled Jo pissed.

“Tak what. It's not your fault either, kok!”

“You're up?” jason asked a girl who was lying down and looked at them. He approached the girl, followed by Jo and the doctor.

“How does it feel?” Jo asked for an assault. “Jun hasn't woken up since.”

Adara—the girl—sit slowly while holding her head that still feels throbbing. While the doctor checked his condition.

“Headaches, eyes twitching, and feeling tired,” the doctor said.

“How's the wound?” ask Jo again.

“Tak what. She's fine.”

Jo breathes a sigh of relief. He turned to look at his little brother who was still closed, according to the doctor who sat in Adara's bed.

“Jun is also fine, Jo.” The doctor spoke again, trying to calm the anxious young man.

“For a while, you guys stay here first. I will try to contact the headquarters if the network is smooth,” Jason said as he turned around to leave.

“Sorry.”

The girl stopped Jason until he turned around.

“I want to contact someone. Can?”

Jason remained silent. For a moment to ask for consideration from the doctor and also Jo with the look in his eyes. Particular

seconds later, he nodded.

“If you can walk, anyway, that's fine,” he said chimed in.

***

“What! You want to call your friend who doesn't know how he's doing? Jeez!”

Jason patted his forehead with his fist. Adara stood near him. It arranges

breathing in such a way, lowered the almost bursting emotions.

“So like this, even if you know the contact number, it doesn't mean we can contact your friend, Adara.”

“I just want to know which spot she is in, that's it,” shriek the girl. “Jo said there are many spots in this region, so I was thinking, if I could contact one of the spots ..

Jason took a deep breath. “It's not that easy, Son,” said, “networks have become difficult to access since

that disaster. We are like ancient humans now. Without networks, without qualified technology, without .. anything that is usual becomes our habit before the disaster occurs. This spot is so, relying only on technology that still exists.”

Adara frowned in her breath, then half bowed.

“Is there anyone else you want to contact besides your friends? Your parents for example.” Jason asked to break up

The girl raised her eyes again while thinking.

“Where do your parents work?”

“At headquarters ...,” replied Adara melirih, “maybe.”

Jason frowning. “Hm?”

The burly man observed each look of the girl nearby while trying to understand the contents of the girl's heart.

“Maybe we can contact the headquarters,” he said later. “What's your parents' name?”

Jason looked back at Adara after previously setting up an automatic device that served as an emergency phone. Again the girl fluttered, there was something she had hidden.

“Agara?”

Erick gave something to Adnan who had prepared with his disguise. The mask mask was his ultimate disguise safety, and it was fortunate that the entire crew assigned today used the equipment as respiratory protection.

“What is this?” ask Adnan.

“Bring it up,” Erick's word, “don't forget to wear his earphones properly!”

The brown-blossomed young man again threw a glance back and forth, then looked at Adnan. A steady pat landed on his partner's arm.

“The commander asked me to be in the control room during your assignment. So don't worry about me. I'll be fine.”

Adnan nodded in understanding.

A few moments later he entered the army. Sometimes he glanced at Erick, checking whether his best friend was really serious about planning this or not. Adnan himself was still confused by his thoughts. It gets more complicated and always bothers him. Adara's shadow haunts her at all times. He was sure it could have been a request to help the girl for him.

Adara's alive, I'm sure of it!

“Adnan. You hear me?”

A voice surprised Adnan. He was right with that voice. Erick checked the earphones he was wearing a while ago after the vehicle he was riding in left the headquarters. Adnan close the device while positioning himself so that people around do not throw a glance at him.

“Yes. I'm here,” whispers chimed.

Erick's wiggly fingers playing over keyboard—entah typing what. Meanwhile, in his head perched a headphone that connects him with Adnan. His eyes were still focused on the large screen in front of him.

“I'm in the control room now,” he said later.

“Stat! Are you crazy!” adnan, back to whispering. “What if people know, Stupid!”

“What's the point of your eraphone, huh? Just patch?” Erick chuckled in response. “I'm in a special control room! The place where I used to control you on the plane. You don't have to worry. No one else will get in here. I've also installed a dual controller in the general control room. Just relax!” he said very relaxed.

Adnan snorted annoyedly. “Do not let your guard down! I never even thought about this slick plan. How you

can think? Basic!”

The brunette boy smirked faintly. “Of course I think about it, unlike your brain which is just love, Adnan,” he said half-condemned his interlocutor.

Hmh! Basic doubt!

“So what do I do now?” ask Adnan later.

Erick was again focusing on the big screen before him. His eyes shimmered firmly, seeing something strange on his monitor. He switched to fixing the microphone for a moment.

“There is a settlement not far from your position.  The driver may have noticed, so you're ready. Me ...”

Erick held back his words. Something seemed to hang in his mind.

“What? You why?” whispered Adnan.

“Ah, no. I think Adara—”

Signal is cut off instantly.

Adnan frowned. Strange, as well as suspicious of what happened with Erick. He returned to fix

his earphones, but Erick's voice was no longer heard. Only a faint boisterous sound was whispering the ears. The black unraveling young man immediately turned off the channel, before being noticed by the surrounding warriors.

He fell silent and threw a glance at some nearby people who were busy with business

they each. Anxiety begins to linger within. He shouldn't have agreed to Erick's plan just for the sake of meeting Adara. But on the other hand, Adnan knows, only by relying on Erick can he get this far.

Again he was confused with his mind. A long, rough gust of breath burst through the mouth and both breathing holes. Tightly. The heartbeat becomes irregular, but Adnan tries to control it.

As a warrior, he was raised and educated to control emotions in difficult times like these. So, even though complicated events were happening before him, he would remain calm as if nothing had happened. The same, when he lost the moment of his meeting with Adara. He must strongly accept the fact that they live with a destiny that is not in line with expectations.
