PHASE 12 . LETTER CANS

Early in the morning, Adara exited the room and went around the spot. He deliberately left Jun who was still asleep because he did not want to wake the little girl. The vast area was already like a home for him after living there for a few days.

His gaze swept across the entire spot side. Many people are busy with their activities. Others are busy working on something that catches their attention. A young man he knew even pulled his steps towards a large building.

His bright bead of eyes was looking intently at the building that seemed familiar to him. Figures

someone was caught in the memory. He sighed for a moment, before a split second then stepped into the large building.

“Jo?”

Adara approached someone who was chatting with a technician in the building.

“You ... friend Jo? The one rescued by Lieutenant Jason?” ask the tech guy who was talking to Jo.

The young man nearby also raised his gaze towards the girl who had just arrived.

“Still in the morning and you're up?” ask Jo.

Adara smiled at the horse. “Am I too early to ambush your work?” askalanya.

“Not really,” replied the technician while extending one hand to Adara. “I'm Sam, chief technician at spot

this,” he said introduce himself.

The girl returned Sam's handshake. “I Adara,” said.

Sam shook his head for a moment, looking at the girl before him. “Ah, I kind of remember someone when

look at your face,” he said later.

Adara's eyebrows rose in an instant, with a look at her slightly curious face.

“I'm sorry,” said Sam.

Adara nodded. Meanwhile, his eyeballs again looked at some middle giant objects

lined up neatly inside the large building he entered a few seconds ago. The gray-colored giant humanoid robot looked sturdy standing with a look that really caught the attention of every eye that saw it.

“Clibanarii,” murmured Adara.

“You ... already know this robot?” ask Jo and Sam at the same time.

The girl looked at the two men in front of her and nodded. “I've learned the control technique. Only

for a minute anyway, because I'm not too interested in them,”.

“I can't believe there is Clibanarii stored in this spot,” added the girl.

“But, can you control it?” ask Jo curiously.

“Hm?” Adara frowned towards Jo. “Absolutely you can't?”

The young man shook his head. “I only go to public school,” he replied.

The girl nodded mafhum. “Then, why are you here? You want to learn to control it?” tanyanya.

Jo nodded steadily. “Sam who will teach me,” said, “I think this is better than I should be

waiting in the room or around the spot with unclear purpose.”

“I thought you learned to control Clibanarii just because you wanted to control the Paladin, ‘kan?” sam is half

joking while squinting his eyes at Jo.

Meanwhile, Adara then fell silent when he heard a name that was just mentioned by the man. His memory

wander buana at the figure in the girl's past for a moment.

“Paladin,” flow.

Sam turned his gaze to Adara. “What's up? You've heard of it, ‘kan? In your school materials there must be, ‘kan?” tanyakanya.

“Ah, the ..” Adara scratched her non-itchy head, trying to cover up the secret within her.

“Iya,” replied the girl in doubt. “Paladin, Clibanarii who has saved the eastern alliance from destruction, ‘kan?”

Sam nodded in a smile. His hand slapped the top of Jo's head instantly. “This boy wants to control it!” ledeknya to make the young man near him scowl.

“I'm not a kid, Sam!” ketusnya while throwing Sam's hand that landed on the top of his head.

Sam sniggered for a moment. “Well, at least you want to learn to control an ordinary Clibanarii, Jo,” he said, “you can

help Paladin if you can only control this Clibanarii.”

Jo looked at the man closely. Meanwhile, Adara looked at the behavior of the two men in front of her with a gaze

meaningfully. A few moments later, he chose to get out of the big building to get fresh air. However, someone stopped his steps.

“You've seen Clibanarii?” ask the man in the mess.

“Lieutenant Jason.” Adara.

“I told you, ‘kan, call me Jason only,” said Jason annoyed, “you and Jo are the same. Cih!”

“Sorry,” shriek the girl again.

“How? I'm sure your school will teach you how to control the Clibanarii. Have you tried it?” ask Jason then.

“I ... can't,” Adara replied melirih.

Jason swallowed his saliva, momentarily soaking his choked throat. “Because of your father?” tanyanya. He knew how the girl felt now.

Adara budging.

“Already expected,” said the man with black unravels while sighing long. “Then, how about Paladin later?” the question then, “center must have determined the next controller. Are you willing to control it in this way?”

Adara gave a rough sigh, then looked straight at the man before her. “What I'm too cowardly for

be the controller?” He asked back. “Losing Nancy and being stuck in school for a while I didn't cry. Am I still considered a coward?”

Jason was silent and thought for a moment. He scratched his chin casually. “You're still unstable,” the answer lightly. “Again, we do not know yet, ‘kan, for whom will Paladin be controlled? So, I think you can calm down here. There's still plenty of time for us to strategize until the center confirms my message.”

“Strategy?” Adara is talking to Jason.

The man nodded. “Some time ago I saw three planes belonging to a very low maneuvering center. I

I don't know what they're flying for. But clearly, with the operation of the aircraft, it can be concluded that ... we will really fight with the rotten alliance later,” he said.

Adara flinched, locking her mouth for a few seconds. “With western alliance, yes?” he seemed to think.

“We don't have time to think, Adara,” Jason replied as he turned around. “Let Jo study that Clibanarii while we strategize.”

“Wait!” exclaim that girl. “You will send Jo if the time has come?” tanyanya doubt.

Jason turned to look at Adara for a moment. “Everyone will fight if the time has come, Adara,” he said

chimed.

“And also .. I am happy to meet my colleague's daughter in this place,” hiss the man as he passed leaving Adara alone.

“Doctor Kei, I need medicine.” Jason walked up to the doctor-dressed man, then sat down on the bed nearby.

“Medicine again?!” kei asked a little annoyed. “The war is almost raging and you asked me to give you medicine

constantly!”

Jason flinching. Highlight his empty eyes looking straight at Kei.

“Why?” look at the young doctor.

“Yusagi Richard made me have to take responsibility this time,” said Jason half-down.

Kei frowned, looking seriously at the messy-haired man.

“Yusagi Adara .. is his daughter,” Jason said again.

“The girl you found some time ago?” kei asked to investigate.

Jason nodded. “Richard really makes me have to repeat an old tragedy,” he said. It's growing

bowed, with one hand holding the head. “I don't want this war to happen until it has to field the Paladin back ..”

Kei looked at the man while thinking. “Fear on the basis of past trauma still rules you,

Jason,” said, “but the war will still happen because the western alliance has decided it some time ago. Cosmo who became torus of peace can not be evaded. What's more, our chance of going from this spot to the center is at great risk because the entire region is likely to have been overrun by the western alliance.”

“If we deploy Clibanarii to evacuate to the center, it feels impossible,” said Jason melirih.

“We should be able to minimize the use of Clibanarii, Jason,” timpal Kei. “Clibanarii is only used if the war has really raged—”

“Do you think now is not a war, huh?!” sergeant Jason immediately, almost tiptoed from the bed he was sitting on.

The young doctor was shocked.

“Western alliance further worsens the situation after the great disaster. They attacked the entire weak spot and killed the entire population. Do you think this is still not war?!” Jason again attacked, for a moment before bowing back to hold the skull bone. “At that time me and the others tried to drive them away. But, I'm the only one left. Though I ran to strike back at them they ended up attacking the defensive stronghold and destroyed it. I went back to this spot alone. While my comrades have been crushed. You said it wasn't war, huh?!”

“Military operation five years ago was the same. All destroyed. No one is saved, no one is

successfully mastered. Only I survived. All the soldiers died in vain. Clibanarii .. and also the Paladin, all of them were destroyed in one explosion. My colleagues are all dead. Even Richard ... died ..” Jason bowed, whimpering in his immortality until he could not control himself.

“Everything's dead. Just me ... I'm all that's left.”

Kei gulped for a moment, soaking his throat which dried up instantly.

“If you don't want everything to repeat itself, this time make something different,” Kei said as he rose from

he sat down and looked back at Jason. “Someone could have repeated the same mistake, Jason. I can't fully say if their deaths were your fault. No. gabe. However, if everything is true, you can change things by turning your mistakes into a lesson. Errors are the spark of a process heading in a better direction. I'm sure you can get through all this.”

Kei patted Jason's shoulder steadily, casting positive suggestions on the man. Meanwhile, Jason is now

raise your eyes. Straightest. He tried to regain his consciousness.

“I ...”

***

A young man is seen walking in a long corridor with thick glass edges to show

view outside the building. His bead of eyes looked closely at every inch of human activity that was busy out there. Some soldiers were transporting some crates to some iron vehicles. While others like preparing something that will happen some time ahead.

Adnan Harris—the young man— resumed his journey which had been delayed by a few seconds. Now, netra

the light was fixed on a brown unraveling young man who was walking towards him.

“Erick!” call him.

“How are you doing?” erick asked, the brown-blossomed young man.

“I'm fine,” replied Adnan awkwardly.

It had been a few days since he had been treated after that ridiculous task, they had not met. Adnan only

I think Erick is a little different. The young man was not as usual who always cared about him, even when he paid no heed to anyone. This time, Adnan looked closely at Erick's body. His eyes probed every look of the young man who was now staring clumsily at him.

“A—what are you doing?” erick asked, looking at himself.

“With that uniform, where are you going?” Adnan asked with a serious look.

Erick jerking. His lips were tightly clenched for a moment. “Ah, anu .. have you forgotten that today ...  The commander again asked us to be on duty?” askanya, making sure Adnan does not forget his own duties.

“What?” The young man asked back while scratching his non-itchy ears. “We return to Cosmo, ‘right?”

Erick raised both of his eyebrows half in surprise. Perfect. The young man seemed to want to test himself now.

“Message from Cosmo,” he said later, “you know that our alliance has managed to seize the torus of peace. But some time ago, someone sent a canned letter containing a threat to there.”

Adnan linked his forehead for a moment.

“It is still suspected that the sender is an eastern alliance person who infiltrated Cosmo.” Erick glanced at the young man in

ahead of him. “But it definitely isn't you, because it's obvious that you're on this base.”

“Then, what's the problem?” adnan asked, forming a stupid face mimic.

A rough gust of breath burst through Erick's nostril for a moment. Meanwhile, his eyes looked at the busyness outside the building. “Cosmo's side sent the canned letter to the Commander, because he was the liaison between the western alliance that was on Earth with the one in Cosmo. The problem here is ...,” he said while turning to look straight at Adnan, “. And he assigns us now to hunt down those eastern alliances, and bring them here.”

Adnan jerks. His eyeballs widened for a few seconds in a moment of agility that instantly shackled his movements. He shook his head, opened his mouth, and chuckled amusedly.

“You .. crazy!” ceplosnya. “Do you think there are humans in that barren land, huh?! Nothing, Erick!”

“We do not hunt on the mainland, Adnan,” interrupted Erick, still looks serious. “We're on the air now.”

Once again the black-spirited young man suddenly flinched, restraining his provoked emotions.

“Austline, you say?” the question still looks stupid.

Erick nodded.

“I have reported to the Commander about the plane belonging to the eastern alliance that attacked me while helping you back then,” he said, “that is why we are assigned now. We'll hunt the enemy's iron bird.”

Liur Adnan swallowed perfectly. Lucky not to concern the space of his throat is choked.

“You're kidding, ‘kan, Erick?” the side still does not believe. “Enemy you said?”

The brown-blossomed young man looked intently at Adnan who was also staring at him. His heart held back the emotional turmoil that he had really not expected before. The heart beat is increasingly hunting, trying to bully emotions along with his breathing which is now beritme irregular.

“Be prepared!” he said as he stepped his leg past the young man. “Your plane is ready,

Young master Harris.”

Erick passed leaving Adnan still glued to his position. The young man did not believe Erick's words

very different than usual. Erick, whom he knew, was a young man who believed his words and only wanted to live in peace. The brown unraveler never wanted war, even if he had to defend his alliance. Or rather, he hated his own alliance. But this time it was different.

Adnan did not find Frederick Add in front of him at all.
