Chapter 27: The Accident

"You have to help him get justice and confidence if you want to go back to your own life." The grandmother then let go of her hand and walked away without waiting for Je's answer which was still in place. 

'Did he just find out about my condition?' inner Je. A moment later, the girl realized her shock and looked in all directions, but the grandmother she had helped was no longer found.

Je tried to look back and forth, until Jenni's screaming voice and the wave of the girl's hand on the other side made him undo the intention to find out more. "Did I just dream?" he muttered as he stepped back across the street. Sometimes he looked back and repeatedly shook his head. 

"Did you see that old lady?" ask Jenni. 

"What old woman? We were just the two of us." Without many words. Jenni again wrapped her hands around Je's arms, while the girl still occasionally turned her head toward the disappearance of the old grandmother. 

'Did I just hallucinate, ' Inner Je. 

"Maybe you're hungry. Let's go get tteokbokki!" Jenni pulls Je's hand towards a tavern that sells food by the side of the road. Although Je was only innate, but Jenni could hear him clearly.

Inevitably Je also bought a portion of tteokbokki for them and ate with a feeling of anxiety. He still could not shake the shadow of the old grandmother's warning. What justice does that woman mean? Didn't Je have brought Jenni a happy life.

Without wasting any time, after filling up the stomach the two again continued their steps towards the amusement park. Although Je is the daughter of a rich man, but it is true what Jenni says if she prefers to play in a casino compared to a recreational place. Maybe now is the best time for him to relax and forget a little longing for his family. 

The two had a good time at the park, until shortly afterwards, the phone in Je's pocket rang. The girl frowned when she saw the name of the caller on the flat object screen. 

"Jenni, your father was in an accident! Come quickly!" Doctor Richard's baritone voice sounded so clear in Je's ear, that making ice cream in his hand immediately fell down. 

"Je, what's wrong?" ask Jenni beside him. 

"Where is he now?" Without answering Jenni's question, Je asked Richard again at the connection and the man then mentioned the name of a hospital in the city center.

Without much time, Je runs out of the playground in a panic and is followed by Jenni's soul who is confused about Je's attitude. "Je, what's wrong?" jenni asked while sitting in the seat next to Je who had entered the taxi.

"Road, Sir! The hospital" Je told the taxi driver. 'Your father was in an accident, ' Je's inner self answered Jenni beside him with an erratic feeling.

Although her current body was not hers and she was not the man's daughter either, but there was a panic-stricken pain that instantly spread throughout her body. Just like he felt if all these events happened to his own biological father.

 I don't know why Je felt something big was going to happen. Moreover, for quite a long time he left the house, only Jenni who occasionally went to see his father without being known by anyone because it was only a soul that flew to and fro.
