The End of the World - Story I
Battle: Northern Section

...~ ◊ ~...

The victory of Basita the Murwa Kunkara in a one-on-one duel against Wirasana the Hamung Tuwuh became a sign of the success of Devision IV in securing the east lane. The news of the victory has also been heard by the main Devision which is in the middle of the northern border.

Upon hearing the news, the main division of the combined forces of Prince I and the Hayawan Warriors: the Devision III force, led by Bovin the Bison and the Revised Artillery VI under Danendra the Mukti Wibawa, is now heading south.

The second task of the Devision was to break the northern border defenses of the Greed King's territory to pave the way for the Rev I to jointly break into the capital and defeat the Queen of blasphemy.

But this attack was not as easy as expected. Border defenses have been strengthened with the arrival of relief forces from the capital. The 10,000 heavy artillery, 8,000 infantry, 5,000 Cavalry, and 2,000 elephants were under the command of Udhata the Pambuka Gapura.

The Division III, consisting of 3,000 Atriodac and Ursidae soldiers and 7,000 Division VI Artillery, will be the opponent of Udhata and his army. This will be a battle of strength and strikes from both sides.

The Artiodacs and Ursidae were famous for their extraordinary strength, plus the Artillery of the VI Division would be the main thrust against the Artillery and the opposing elephants.

In the dark and lonely night, there was a loud clash that broke the silence. The war started to sound. The great battle began.

Huge stones flew in the night sky, to attack each other's forces. Spears and arrows were launched, to intercept the incoming army.

The Bears ran crashing, scratching large claws on the body of the enemy who came attacking. The bulls began to butcher, piercing the stomachs of the enemies with horns.

The opposing horses began to fear and then messy. But thousands of elephants came in the way, knocking out the bodies of Hayawan soldiers. Destroy your Artillery equipment, the line starts to fall apart.

Bovin the Bison ordered the Ursidae to block and restrain the movements of the elephants. After his movement was successfully arrested, the Artiodacs were ordered to cleave the stomachs of the elephants with their large axes from below.

Upon hearing this, Arctos carried out the command by holding the trunk of a large elephant with his body. His body was slightly backward and scratched the ground with both feet, but Bovin helped him by tearing the elephant's stomach.

Elephants in front of Artos also fell down by removing his entire stomach with a blood that was so swift.

Troops of Ursidae and other Artiodacs also did the same thing to subvert the elephant army.

But their numbers are not worth the strength and number of troops garrisoned it. The tools of the VI Revised Artillery began to be destroyed one by one by the elephants. Plus the continuous attacks from the opponent's artillery were so massive that it overwhelmed them.

Danendra as the commander of the Division VI Artillery issued a magic to strengthen the Artillery attack of his troops. Spear launchers were prepared. Line up neatly ready to face the incoming elephants.

Magic spears are beginning to be launched. It was like incessantly shooting the opposing elephants with sparkling spears of light. One by one the opposing elephants began to fall.

Udhata, who saw his elephant army defeated, could not remain silent. Now he retaliated by launching large fire stones to burn the opponent's artillery. With an incredible amount of throwing equipment, the night sky was filled with balls of fire flying like stars scattered.

The stones also fell on Bovin troops and Danendra Artillery equipment. The entire army was devastated. Fires were burning throughout the field. Screams of pain rang out from the people who were charred on fire and hit by the large stones.

Bovin and Arctos who were in the front line were trying to avoid and survive. The troops were ordered to continue to advance forward, approaching the enemy lines in front. That way they will not be hit by the stones that the enemy throws.

Hayawan Army soldiers have reached the enemy ranks, then rushed to destroy the fire throwers. Despite many obstacles, but with the power of the Hayawan Nation that exceeds Humans, they are still able to survive.

The opposing artillery began to be destroyed one by one. But Udhata the commander of the enemy army came with his Infantry to intercept the Hayawan Warriors.

They are not like ordinary people. They were all big and sturdy. Especially the leader of the army, who is also one of the three Knights who serve King Angkara, Udhata the Pambuka Gapura.

His body shape perfectly matches his title. So big and strong with a big cudgel in his hand. It was as if he could actually break down and open the archway with his giant body.

“Where's Danendra?! I'll destroy him and his crafty magic!”

Shouted Udhata as he continued to step forward after throwing Hayawan Soldiers who tried to block. He destroyed the body of the Hayawan Warrior with just one mace swung. But now his giant impact was held back by the large axe of Bovin who now stood in the way.

“Hei, Bison! Don't block my way!” shouted Udhata.

“I am your opponent, Lord Giant! I won't let you destroy my comrades any more than this!” tukas Bovin while brandishing his big axe.

“Huh! Fine if you really want to die!”

Udhata again smashed his big mace. But Bovin was able to head down to avoid it, then he retaliated by swinging an axe at Udhata's feet.

The axe managed to land at Udhata's stocky feet. There was no blood or wounds there. Not even the slightest scuffles. Bovin who was astonished to see him kicked by Udhata until slammed into the back.

“Ho Ho Ho Ho... You can't hurt me, horned creature! Only the Emperor and Basita's strongest man can hurt me.”

Udhata stepped forward, trying to hit Bovin who was still trying to re-attach the horses. But Udhata's steps stopped when Arctos suddenly blocked his pace.

“Ho... I never thought anyone could stop my lashing move,” said Udhata with a grin on his ferocious face.

“I think you are too old, Lord Giant,” mock Arctos whose body is now shrouded in a great radiant energy.

“Magic Danendra apparently. Get out of you, cowardly witch!” udhata shouted with his floor.

“This is how witches work. Remember that, Mr Giant!” Danendra's voice was heard in the air without him being seen.

Udhata swung his rock towards the Arctos before him. Seeing that Arctos crossed both arms forward. Affected by the impact of the mace Arctos pushed back, but still able to withstand the fierce attack.

“Huh... The strength of the Ursidae tribe cannot be underestimated. But what about this one.”

Udhata jumped up high by grasping the mace with both hands above his head. The plunge led to Arctos with the pressure of the jump and the blow of the mace being swung with both hands, making the Arctos sink to the ground while holding it.

Just as Udhata was about to once again hit Arctos with his gun, Udhata was attacked by Bovin with an axe pointed at his right arm.

“Don't I tell you you wouldn't be able to hurt

Udhata suddenly stopped talking when he realized that his right arm, which had been attacked by Bovin, was dripping fresh blood.

“What the fuck? How can?” gerutu Udhata is confused.

“Don't underestimate a witch, Giant Lord.” Again, Danendra's voice came from the air.

“Huh... Don't be happy, cowardly witch. Wounds like this won't kill me.”

“It was true. But wounds are wounds.”

After that Bovin continued to launch attacks on Udhata. Little by little, wound by wound began to open from Udhata's body.

Arctos is not just silent. With Danendra's magic, the iron claws on his large glove gave rise to a burning fire. Arctos hit and scratched Udhata's body with his power coupled with the fire magic.

The close-range massive battle brought out a huge bang in each of his attacks. Udhata's body weakened by Danendra's magic continues to be suppressed to balance with the two Hayawan Nation he is fighting.

The fight continues. Punch after blow is done. Slash after slash continued to be launched. Lacing for lacing continues to be launched. Metal clangs sounded along the battleground. But the two Hayawans were exhausted.

Udhata, who has incredible strength and stamina, can still survive. Bovin finally reached his limit, he was hit by a mace Udhata to break his horn.

Arctos who was also starting to get tired, the fire in his hand was slowly starting to extinguish. But he could still withstand the hammering of Udhata.

“I think the fight is over,” said Danendra who now raises his original figure.

“Finally you came out too, you coward,” Udhata said with a grin. “This way the fight will be completely finished.”

“I told you already. Looky. Tonight's fight is over with victory in our hands.”

Danendra said that while pointing at the sea of fire in the south. A sea of fire from the fortress and the army of Udhata which has now been destroyed by the burning fire.

“How can you?!”

“As long as you are busy fighting with us, Mr. Danendra has made a great attack with his fire magic to annihilate your entire army,” said Arctos accompanied with a smirk of satisfaction.

“The soldiers who died in this war are indeed very strong if used to fuel magic,” muttered Danendra.

“The leader's victory will also be the victory of his entire army. But the victory will not mean if the leader no longer has an army,” said Udhata. “Alright, I think up to here just our battle. I've been quite satisfied with the injuries I've gotten in this fight.”

“This way the northern border line has been secured,” said Bovin, who has risen again.

“The remaining ones are just waiting for news from Devision II and Devision VII from the western end of the desert. I hope Lupus and Tigris are fine there,” said Arctos.

“Hah... Alright. Please do what you want to me. Well, although you won't be able to kill me,” grumbled Udhata.

“Ya yes... Cut that shit out of you, muscle brain.”

Danendra tied Udhata's hands together with restraint magic, then brought him back to the army.

“Hey, Young bear! What's your name?” ask Udhata before leaving the field with Danendra.

“Ursidae Arctos. Disciple of Khan Ursidae: Ailur the Ilmuan,” replied Arctos proudly.

“Then please have one more teacher. Your brain won't hit you. You also need to train your muscles.”

Udhata left after saying that. Arctos smiled at him. Being appointed as a disciple of one of the Piningit Knights was a pride to him.

In this way, the battle to open the path of the capital's attack was successful. After hearing the news of this victory, Devision I under the command of Bubalis the Buffalo and the Prince I now began to head south to join the Division III and the Division VI.

His next destination was the siege of the capital and the attack on the palace of King Angkara. But the siege could not be implemented if the western route had not been secured. On the other hand, Devision II and Devision VII are in charge of opening the western line, until now there has been no news at all.
