The End of the World - Story I

The End of the World - Story I
Battle: Prefixed Section (2)

...~ ◊ ~...

Early in the morning, where the sun was still hiding, the horizon stretched out quietly. The stars still seem to shine brightly, when the sky seems so silent.

But the situation on the other hand is so opposite. Although the light is still dim, many people are starting to pass. Amidst the encampments that spread, war horses began to come out of the stables. The soldiers sharpened their swords, arrows tried to be launched, preparing for war.

As dawn broke, the soldiers gathered in rows. Prepare for a very important mission. When the world is in a difficult situation.

I (Panthera Tigris) and Lupus were stationed in the Revised II led by Mr. Dirus. Parted with Arctos who were stationed in Devision III to assist Bovin the Bison.

The Devision II forces have gathered and lined up neatly. Canis Dirus the Terrible Wolf stood before us with a fierce and fiery face.

“Now it is time for us to fight against the blasphemy over the world. No more hiding and just surviving. Now it's our turn to fight back. Together with the Human Nation, once again, after thousands of years, we can finally fight together to fight the penista of prophecy.”

Mr. Dirus cried out loudly in front of the troops. The troops who heard it began to show a horrifying look and were full of growls. The teeth of the fangs are tapered, sharp claws are removed, preparing for a fateful fate.

After getting the task to lead Rev II, Mr Dirus undoes his intention to go to Angker Island to take what belongs to him? He will go there after this battle is over.

He will focus on completing his task of leading Devision II to open the western defenses of King Angkara and weaken his power so that the main Division can attack the capital more freely.

I don't know what he was looking for on Angker Island. Maybe there's something big in there. But with consideration of this attack must be immediately implemented so that King Angkara did not have time to prepare a defense. The intention of Mr. Dirus to go to Angker Island must also be delayed. I hope this is the right decision. Well, even though I don't know what he's looking for there.

With a loud cry accompanied by a howl, Mr. Dirus called for the departure of troops towards the territory of King Racus in the west. Hearing the call, the entire army rushed like lightning to the west to fulfill the task and mandate.

We had to hurry so that we could get to the western part of the desert as soon as possible to make an attack. Our forces must have started the battle in conjunction with the Devision IV attacking through the eastern seaboard.

With a distance that is twice as far as the eastern coastal route through Devision IV, the, so our troops also had to travel twice as fast as the IV Division in order for us to start the attack from both the west and east sides simultaneously.

After our departure, the forces of the VII Division led by Antara the Sumela Set followed behind us to go to the southern border of the territory of King Rakus who was on the line with us.

On the way, we received word from the Canis that the other Revised forces had also begun their departure. The IV Division led by Basita the Murwa Kunkara had departed for the east coast. Revised III and Devision VI also left for the south.

Although our movements have been hidden by Danendra's magic, we still have to be aware of spies or direct observers from the enemy. Because the key of this ‘Tactic Attack 3 Way’ is speed and surprise.

If King Angkara and his troops know of our movements and strategies, then they will be able to prepare the division and mobility of the troops before we can make an attack.

Therefore, during the course of the Division we were divided back into several small Battalions. With the group of troops that are not so large, it is expected that it will not raise suspicion by enemy border inspectors.

The Canis in each Battalion will continue to send each other telepathically so that our movements remain directional. The main battalion led by Mr. Dirus moved forward to determine the Battalion's next course of action.

Lupus was assigned to be the receiver and sender of telepathic information accompanying Mr. Dirus (because he could not use telepathy). So, Lupus and I separated. Where I was in the last Battalion to be dispatched.

Since I was in the back row, then I could see the army of Zeni led by Antara behind me. The VII Division also engaged in a small Battalion, where Antara led the front-running main Battalion.

Due to the time-speed chase, the actual journey took more than two weeks to go through in just one week at full speed.

In the middle of the journey, the forces of Devision VI stopped in a dense forest that extends above the cliff facing south. The cliff was the border between the territory of the Voracious King and the territory of the Greedy King. That's where they're on standby to help our Devision in the battle for the desert cliff-foot.

It was very strategic to launch an aid attack because it was hidden behind a dense forest. Also the high terrain morphology will make it very easy for the Zeni troops to launch arrows and spears from the top of the cliff.

The Prince I who devised this strategy must have taken the battlefield into account before making a decision. With his ingenuity, it was very appropriate if he was chosen to be the Commander-in-Chief in this attack operation. No wonder if 4 Knights Piningit would serve him.

As the Devision VII was on standby on the cliff, the Devision II continued its detour to the western end of the desert.

After a long time of continuing the journey, we reached the western end of the desert. Despite the name of the desert, this area is not really full of sand. Just a vast and arid rocky field. Here it still feels hot when viewed from a season that should have started cold.

In this place the whole Battalion regrouped into the forces of the Revised II and Mr. Dirus again took over the main leadership. From here we prepare ourselves for an attack.

Before that we had to wait for confirmation from the IV Division at the other end of the desert, the eastern seaboard.

After confirmation and notification that the Cavalry troops of the IV Division were ready to attack from the other end, we immediately launched an attack on the western defenses of the Angkara Kingdom.

On this side there is no building for the enemy to defend. There are no fortifications or defensive walls. But there are only rocks and large cliffs as a natural labyrinth and fortress. The guard post was only a few behind the stones.

Immediately after we launched the attack, several enemy defense posts we managed to conquer. Our enemy is only Man, who in fact has a power weaker than us, the Hayawan Nation.

I think this surprise attack strategy went well.

But after several days of surprise attacks, the enemy's resistance grew stronger. It looks like the enemy has realized our attacks and sent reinforcements from the center.

Exactly as planned. ‘This 3 Way’ Attack tactic is not only to confuse the enemy, but also to outwit their movements.

According to Prince I, after the attacks were launched from the western and eastern ends simultaneously, King Angkara would send in relief forces to assist the defense on both sides.

Now the relief forces from the capital have come to the battlefield of the western side of the desert. Unexpectedly the troops that came were a very extraordinary force.

According to the ‘Bayan’ unit that Mr. Dirus sent to observe the enemy, the opposing forces had an unusually large number and strength: 12,000 Infantry, 8000 Cavalrymen on horseback, 5000 Heavy Artillery, and 300 elephants.

What an unbalanced force. Our Division II force consists of only 5,000 personnel, and our weapons are not as complete as the enemy forces.

But fortunately we still have the assistance of the forces of the VII Division. For that we must as much as possible lead the enemy forces to the bottom of the cliff where the Devision VII is located so that their weapons can reach the enemy.

It is expected that a big battle will take place tomorrow. Tonight we will camp and rest to think of a plan to fight that great army tomorrow.

“12,000 Infantry, 8000 Cavalry, 5000 Artillery, and 300 elephants. What an unreasonable army if sent only for ‘help’,” mumbled Mr. Dirus.

It does. I never thought about what King Angkara planned to send such a large army just to fight us and leave the capital.

“Isn't this mean plans to reduce power in the center are running better than predicted?”

That's how I think it is. With the large number of troops sent here from the center, it indicates that our plan to reduce the enemy defenses in the capital is indeed working well.

That way the main Division who do a direct break to the center of the kingdom will be easier to defeat the enemy.

“But this is too running smoothly,” said Mr. Dirus. “Does King Angkara indeed concentrate the defense on this west side, or does he have an unimaginable number of troops (so he can send an army of that size only for ‘help’). Better we stay alert.”

“For that I have a message for you, Sir,” said Lupus. “After reporting our condition to another Division (by telepathy), I received a similar report from Devision IV on the east coast. They also encountered a large army of aid from the capital.”

“So King Angkara does have an incredible number of troops,” muttered Mr. Dirus while growling. “Then is there a report from the main Division (Devised III and Revised VI)?”

“I got a report from Bovin the Bison that the main Divisions of the battering ram also began to be confronted by heavy Arteleri and elephants from the enemy forces. I think the battle of the capital will be heavier than we imagined,” replied Lupus.

“I don't think King Angkara really has such a terrible war power,” grumbled Mr. Dirus annoyed. “I should have taken it back first on Angker Island.”

It was true that it was said to be a terrifying war power. King Angkara is able to stem attacks from 3 directions at once. Even unmitigated he sent a very large army.

I hope that Arctos who is in Devision III as the main fighter will still be fine.

Mr. Dirus was saying about ‘take it back on Angker’ Island. I think that having that thing or whatever it is, will help this battle. But.no idea. I can't guess what that is either.

“Then what are our plans to overcome the large forces that confront us?” my many.

“We will do as usual,” replied Mr. Dirus with a grin. “Like the way the Hayawan Nation fights: Just face what is in front of you.”

I-i understand. Indeed that is the way the Hayawan Nation fought all this time.

If King Angkara and Prince I fight using their brains and all their cunning tactics, then we will fight it in our own way.

Like fire, it is impossible to fight fire with fire. Fight fire with water. That's our fighting principle, the brain is not always fought with the brain.

No need for pleasantries, we just have to fight against what is facing us.

...~ ◊ ~...

Some time before, right after the surprise attack of ‘Tactic Attack 3 Way’ was launched.

In the meeting room of King Angkara's palace, gathered the Knights and the Queen.

“Prince I has carried out attacks on our defenses from 3 different places: from the western end of the desert, from the eastern seaboard, and from the northern border,” Wirasana said.

“It seems that he managed to convince the Hayawan Nation to join him,” said Udhata the Pambuka Gapura. “So it is indeed the Bearer of the Panji Akbar in the prophecy.”

“Tactics and Strategy are indeed very smart,” said Sodha the Pinandita. “I don't think he chose to divide his army with a 3-way attack instead of doing one full attack.”

“The most important thing is that our plan is still running smoothly,” said the Queen suddenly. “But all will be in vain if there is no sacrifice. For that, the three of you go to the three points of attack and block the Prince.” troops

“That was my plan,” said Wirasana. “I'll go east to fight the old Basita.”

“Then, I will go east against those cats and dogs,” Sodha said.

“Means I'm going north against Danendra and his new friends, yes,” Udhata added. “Alright, not bad either.”

“It has been decided,” insisted the Queen. “Thus you Knights, on behalf of King Angkara I command you to head off a 3-way attack from Prince I and show the power of the ruler of the continent.”

“Good, Your Majesty. May the Emperor's prophecy accompany our steps.”
