The Arkana: The Demon Hunters

The Arkana: The Demon Hunters
The Eye of the Sky Angan

Santi, Bima, and Arkanta walked to the front yard, about to head towards Tantra driving a car. However, their steps all came to a halt just as they stared at a boy in front of the Ratnakusuma archway. The boy stood up while grinning towards them, as all who saw him goosebumps.

"I can't go in there, but of course you can't get out of there. Whoever dares to step out, I kill him" Dursasana said.

"Dursasana," muttered Bima who had faced one of the top level demons.

Arkanta walked past Bima and Santi until standing in front, he pulled out his heirloom sword from inside the nest. The sword has a Javanese script engraving that says 'Kusuma Wira Sakti'.

Kusuma Wira Sakti is an ancient Javanese language. Kusuma can be interpreted as 'flower' or 'crown, ' Wira means 'hero' or 'knight, ' and Sakti describes power or greatness. So, 'Kusuma Wira Sakti' can be interpreted as 'The Knight Sword Full of Power.'

"Heeeey." The grin on Dursasana's face widened as he stared at the sword in Arkanta's grasp. "So that's Mahesageni's sword, huh? Apparently you're the Arkanta?" Dursasana clapped. "Many demons are afraid to hear only your name. Cool, cool."

"Your choice is only two" Arkanta said flatly. "Wither away into black smoke, or flee with fear."

Dursasana pointed towards Arkanta, then told the man to come forward. "Here, here, let's see who's stronger. I am also feared by your people."

"About the appearance of Dursasana here, it means that he will not join the Tantra," said Santi. "No more prestige, we help Arkanta, Bim."

"Okay" replied Bima.

...****************...

Captain Adit is detained by Yudha on the way to Ratnakusuma, an association locked up by Dursasana at his own headquarters. Currently Bowo and Yasa were only both facing a storm that hit Tantra. They also had to deal with two Dursasana subordinate demons, namely Bebasura and Krikala.

Bowo felt pressure when dealing with Bebasura, but not as big as when dealing with Dursasana some time ago. This one little devil is wild and has agile movements. Bowo is not given time to attack and only focus on avoiding sharp nails.

Lebasura jumped up quickly and landed in front of Bowo with a grin on his face. The little devil instantly unsheathed his sharp claws towards Bowo. However, Bowo nimbly dodged and moved away from him, keeping his distance back and rearranging the horses.

The bald man tried to analyze Lebasura's weakness while running and dodging. The creature continues to move quickly chasing Bowo with a giggling sound that makes the feathers goosebumps. However, at one point, Bowo took the initiative to get closer towards the demon.

With a high-speed punch, Bowo launched an attack towards Bebasura's face. However, Bebasura proved slippery, avoiding Bowo's punches nimbly, then counter-attacking.

Lebasura's attack was unable to hit Bowo. They both avoided.

"Shihihi, this one human being is quite good too" said Bebasura. "It is fitting that Mr. Dursasana is interested."

On the other side Kerikala glanced towards Bebasura. "Just finish him off, Bebasura! Don't have a lot of fun."

Unlike Bowo and Bebasura, which have fast tempos and bars, Kerikala and Yasa are caught in a slow tempo fight.

Kerikala who had already used her wishful sky eyes, continued to present an illusion that stirred up Yasa's thoughts and feelings.

Yasa is trapped in a world filled with grief. His heart was sliced by illusions that shattered his dreams, including the desire to feel the affection of parents. Slowly the boy shed his tears.

"Yasa, wakeful!" bowo exclaimed, realizing that Yasa was under the influence of an illusion.

"Don't turn your face away from your opponent, stupid man! Shihihi," Bebasura said as he slid his claws.

Bowo dodged Lebarura's attack again, then glanced back at Yasa. 'If only Santi was here, but impossible, right?'

"Luckhead fool! Wake up!" bowo shouted louder.

"Mahari ..," said Yasa while crying. His guilt piled up into a blushing regret. Naturally, he had made the only person who cared about him look sad and willing to leave. Mahari even lied that the house belonged to the Yasa family in order for the child to remain there and have a place to shelter. He is willing to be hated so that Yasa does not hate himself and the Kanigara family.

Kerikala grinned at the sight of all of Yasa's dreams slowly disappearing. The girl widened her hands while walking slowly towards Yasa like a child.

"Well, wow, what a pity this one human being," said Kerikala with a soft tone. "I want to kill him. The taste of the man who ruined his dreams was the most delicious."

Hearing the name Mahari in her ears despite being faint, Yasa tried hard to counter the illusory effects of the eyes of the shadowy sky. Although his heart is scarred by shattered dreams, Yasa keeps trying to remember his goals and everything he has right now. At least, even though he had lost a lot of things, this time he should not lose anything else.

Although it felt heavy to just open his mouth, but slowly he cast a protective spell that emitted a bright light around him. The light diffused the influence of the illusions that continued to haunt his mind. At one point, Yasa stared intently at Kerikala firmly.

"I may not have parents, but I still have a family that won't let my dreams be destroyed by an evil demon like you" Yasa said.

"Don't big a dwarf's head!" krikala. "As long as you have eyes and are able to see, the eyes of the sky will continue to punish you!"

Yasa put his index and middle fingers together, then he put them in front of his face facing upwards.

"Amurwabumi, mercury kula. Damarwulan, ameng kurmati. Wisnumurti, kang. Aji amukti, amukti kula," muttered Yasa.

He cast the spell seven times. Instantly it appeared seven layers of atma enveloping him.

"You think you can protect yourself with that weak atma shield, huh?!" krikala while laughing.

The boy closed his eyes as his left hand gripped the inner elbow of his right hand. While his right hand stretched out with the palm facing towards Kerikala.

"Anane sing ora lalilali, kang aampirana strength, yen kasedya to bali." The sound of Yasa sounding heavy as if holding something back. The grip on his elbow was getting tighter so that it caused claw scars. "Diblis digludhugi, saklawase desire instead, covered in self, kasampurna kasil, and safe inalan."

Hearing Yasa's murmurs made Kerikala feel heavy as if the spells aired by Yasa moved to subdue her.

"Basic low man! You think you can seal me, huh?!" With both palms still attached, Kerikala opened her legs wide. The eyes of the sky were bleeding as if crying. The blood coagulated into a pitch-red crystal.

Yasa's eyes closed to avoid eye contact with the eyes of the sky to avoid his illusion. He only capitalized on the belief that Kerikala was right in front of his palm.

"Neng ing nglumpang kala, angel-angel sky kedhaton, nyegel when evil, wong kang katha want maton. Ing grandonane samya, nglek sing bali," muttered Yasa chanting the second verse of the spell Ngelumpak Kala, the demon sealing spell of the Kanigara family.

The red crystal from the blood of the sky wishful eyes had already reached its breaking point. Kerikala tried to survive the sealing spell cast by Yasa.

"Thank you!" krikala. The pointy-tipped red crystal shot rapidly towards Yasa.

The blood crystal continued to streak until it hollowed out Yasa's seven layers of protective atma. Blood flowed from the boy's left shoulder as he was struck by his opponent's attack. If he had not cast a protective spell, Kerikala's attack would not have slipped from his heart.

Those two demonic eyes suddenly twitched while staring at the surroundings. Time seems to slow down for Kerikala.

'What really happened?' Inner Kerikala. He glanced back. The eyes of the sky shattered into blood.

There was a big hole in his body. The spell cast by Yasa pierced through Kerikala's body, destroying the eyes of the sky. Yasa understood that at this time he had not been able to seal a demon of Krikala's class. It's just that when Kerikala is busy attacking and defending from the Ngelumpak Kala spell, Yasa airs another spell to destroy it.

"Garjita's mantra to the three Kanigara families, Getih Devil Mungsuh," Yasa said.

Bebasura was silent for a moment to see Kerikala slowly disappearing into a black smoke puff. The girl's hand was trying to reach towards Bebasura.

"Sorry ... Bebasura ...," she wrote just before her form was completely destroyed.

Yasa was sitting limp while holding his shoulder which was injured due to the Kerikala attack. The red crystal was still stuck on his shoulder.

On the other side ...

"KERIKAY!"

The cry of Bebasura made Yasa and Bowo tremble shrouded in horror. The cry of the devil made the two arkana shrouded in fear.

No more smirks on his face. The devil looks angry.
