Cooler than the first morning in September, is Yasa Kanigara who has lost her spirit. However, even so, it does not mean that he wants to die.
Since learning the truth about the bloody jathilan tragedy, Yasa more silent daydream. What else when there is no more Mahari beside him. Everything feels so different. Naturally, considering that Mahari was the only person who took care of Yasa from childhood.
Right now Yasa was sitting leaning against the trembesi tree. For a moment he sighed, then looked to the upper left side.
"Since when do you care about the cave? Don't you usually like to be alone, too?" yasa asked Manta who was sitting reading a book on a tree branch.
Manta closed the book he was reading, then looked up at the sky covered in umbrella-shaped trees above him.
"If you were in Mahari's position that night, what would you do?" ask Manta back. "What really happened that night? What made Mahari decide to kill the possessed containers?"
Yasa snorted softly, then continued. "Whatever, the cave doesn't care. The problem is why Mahari never stories as if everything went well if the cave did not know the truth of the night?"
"Either, the cave just feels sometimes we do not need to know about a truth. Because, there are times when the truth hurts," said Manta.
"Suddenly, mending is sick from knowing the truth, rather than laughing without knowing anything like a bego," Yasa replied.
Well, Manta can't blame the kid. Every soul has a different feeling. The handsome man decided to remain silent without a word, as if he had never been there.
"But thank you, Ta, it's the cave" said Yasa.
"Sama-sama," replied Manta while opening his book again.
...****************...
Darkness again dominates the earth, making the sky spread without light, closing nature in silence. Under a dark blanket, Yasa tried to close his eyes, but no matter how hard he tried to shut down, the boy was still unable to fall asleep. I think there is something missing from him.
Tok .. tok .
Yasa peered out of the blanket. His gaze sharply highlighted on the window in the corner of the room. The sound of that knocking was heard from that direction. He got up and walked slowly toward the source of the sound.
Tok .. tok .
His index and middle fingers were fixed, he aimed his finger at the window. Yasa still stepped cautiously towards the window.
Tok .. tok .
After gulping his saliva, he ventured to pull the curtain that covered his window and cast the spell of the evil spirit exorcist.
"Holy bahya, rungokno atimu ...." Yasa's words stopped.
"Lu what? Want to exterminate the cave?" bowo asked who was tapping on the window using his bald head.
"What's wrong, goddamn it?" tanya Yasa flat. "Snacks the window of the room people use nutmeg. Gua thinks you're king of tuyul."
"The hands of the cave can not be made," said Bowo. "It's just a cave walk home."
"Well, where's your bike?"
"There's at the association's headquarters" Bowo replied. "Buain the door, woy."
Yasa let out a heavy breath. With a lazy face, he stepped out of the room to open the door. However, for a moment his steps came to a halt in front of the currently empty Mahari room leaving behind a handful of his signature scent that slowly faded away. Yasa tried to shake off his emotions, he continued to open the door for Bowo.
"Abis ospek what are you?" asked Yasa who saw the two bald man's hands in the cast.
"Sort of like that" replied Bowo.
"Yes, it's coming in."
Bowo walked into the house and continued to step into his room. He opened the door using his feet.
Bowo's left hand was broken lightly due to a panco fight with Bima all day and always lost. However, thanks to his persistence, Bima relented and allowed Bowo to join his team. It's just that for a while Bowo will not get a mission, considering he is still in recovery.
Tonight, either Yasa, Bowo or Manta, no one can fall asleep. They were all awake in their respective rooms with the same fretful tempo.
...****************...
The next day, Wibowo asks Manta to tie the shoelaces that are already attached to his feet. Both of his hands were unreliable for a moment.
"Sama-sama," Bowo said with his special thanks to Manta. "The cave goes first." The man warmed up a bit, then ran towards Ratnakusuma.
Bima asked the bald man to leave and return on foot for three days from Ratnakusuma to Tantra, and Bowo obeyed the orders of his new superiors. Although his hand hurt, he did not give up and continued to move on to his new adventure.
"Morning," said Bowo.
"Dit, get to know the new boy" said Santi.
"Wibowo Mahasura, Division three, under the command of Captain Bima Harimurti" Bowo said.
The man only glanced for a moment, then walked away. His cold attitude was worse than Manta's. Luckily Bowo was used to living in such a cold, so he didn't have much to worry about.
Santi smiling. "Before here, Bowo was Mahari's subordinate."
The man's steps stopped. Once again he turned to Bowo, but this time pointing at him. "That guy?"
"Yes, that man" replied Santi.
Now the man turned around, standing facing Bowo. "Aditya Wirabuana, Deputy Commander Ratnakusuma, and First Division Captain." After introducing himself, he resumed his steps.
"Nik, just get out. Adit's gone" said Santi.
From behind one of the trees in the courtyard, a girl appeared. He brought a box.
"Other times it has to be braver huh!" said Santi. "You've come in the morning to have breakfast for Adit, right? If gini keeps kasian you own."
"O-okay, next time have to be braver," the girl replied.
"Well, this is Anik Widayani, Wo. He's got you in the third division" Santi said. The woman turned to Anik. "Sir, drop Bowo, yeah. Take a walk around first, all acquaintances. I'm gonna go first."
"Oh, okay, ma'am." Anik approached Bowo. "Yuk, walk."
Bowo was still frozen staring at Anik.
'Walk? This is my first date, ***'. Bowo thought.
Anik walked away followed by Bowo. The fool thought this trip was his first date, because it was the first time he had walked with a girl.
"My name is Anik Widayani, third division under Captain Bima. That was Captain Adit. Well, here though the headquarters, but the number of people isn't as many as you think."
"It's just you and me?"
"Yes not really. There were a few more people, but they didn't stay here" Anik replied. "I was clear from the beginning."
"For now, Ratnakusuma has three divisions under three Captains. The three-member division is only the two of us under the command of Captain Bima Harimurti," explained Anik.
"Be-both doang?" bowo asked with his red face.
"Yes, the rest of us are both." Turning with a happy face Bowo, Anik actually looks forcing his smile. "The intensity of evil spirits and the predicate of changing missions make the association lose many lives. Whereas the comparison of ordinary people with indigo is like 1000:1, and the comparison of indigo is the same arkana 100:1. It is not easy to find people who can see 'them' and can design 'them' problems either by subtle means or extermination. Division three lost many members who died in that battle."
Bowo's face suddenly turned sad. "What other division?"
"For now, the first division has two members, the second division has no members, the only remaining members are Arjuna Sadajiwa, the Captain of the division," Anik replied.
"That means the total Arkana in Ratnakusuma there are only seven people including the Captains?" ask Bowo.
Anik. For a moment he stared at the wood carving before him.
"Captain's the task of organizing the troops, but there are people who are in charge of monitoring the Captains. There's still a combat commander in Ratnakusuma, he's Commander Arkanta Dananjaya."
"Oh yeah, I'm curious about one more thing" Bowo said. "Kalo mbak Santi what is his position? Division one, is it? One of the two people you said earlier?"
"Huh?" Anik squinted his eyes. "You're with him, but you don't know who Santi is?"
Bowo. "Seriously don't know."
The look on Anik's face suddenly turned serious. "Every headquarters has a leader."
"Arkanta's commander is the highest here, right?" ask Bowo.
Anik. "Above the Commander there is still the Chief. Sari Darmasanti's brother is the chairman here. He's the chief of Ratnakusuma."
Bowo gulped. "okay."
