Episode 24: Return to the Past (3)

The atmosphere of the car was so quiet, since coming out of the apartment, Eryk did not want to talk at all and did not even want to check the surveillance camera as well, just wanted to go home.

Ferdinand who was driving glanced at Eryk who was sitting down down in the back seat. "You okay, Eryk?"

"Hm," Eryk answered briefly.

Ferdinand focused again on the highway, free to invite Eryk at this time, still shocked about the incident, which he wondered why Eryk could immediately know that the paper that made was Kervyn? Using a handwriting instead of handwriting.

Eryk exhaled, his adrenaline made him tired.

The paper had one initial alphabet 'K' accompanied by a small heart symbol there; katherine often wore the symbol when sending messages to her after they officially became lovers.

Although bitter to admit defeat, Eryk can narrow the suspicion that the one who is after him is not his business rival, but Kervyn including the kidnapping of Katherine and her brother.

Eryk also suspects that Kervyn's goal of kidnapping Katherine is only to make her miserable given Katherine's real lover.

"Hm..." Eryk did not know when the abduction occurred, but he assumed it happened when he proposed to Gaea at the airport considering that Katherine was on her way home. He thought that the announcement of his engagement to Gaea would make Katherine free? He had to move quickly, but Rainer was resting after a week of sleep deprivation.

Eryk can ask his men to look for clues about Katherine, but Kervyn's problem is only a secret to the Enzo family.

Eryk exhaled, very tired, his eyes felt heavy, he wanted to stay awake until home but finally without realizing his eyes slowly closed.

Flashbacks

"Eryk you're coming again?" chief Charles said.

Eryk nodded, this time he brought a bouquet of orchids considering Gaea loved it so much when they visited the flower garden together yesterday.

"Where's Rainer?" ask Chief Charles.

"He has business" said Eryk.

Chief Charles smiled. "Eryk, you and Rainer worked so well that Gaea was willing to speak at last, especially if you wanted to accompany her in the interrogation room so as not to frighten her, that way we can get a lead on Gaea's parents."

Eryk nodded. "I'm just doing my job,"

"You seem to enjoy the work of this Bodyguard, Eryk" Chief Charles said with a chuckle.

Eryk scratched the back of his neck nervously. "I'm starting to realize being a Bodyguard isn't boring either."

"You sure you don't like Gaea?" ask Chief Charles fishing.

A red hue instantly appeared on Eryk's face. "No way! I'm not a pedophile! We were five years away. I admit Gaea has beautiful eyes and a smile, but that's it, I consider her just a little sister."

"Your face says another Eryk" said the plain Chief Charles. "Why are you so defiantly denying it? Just relax, Eryk."

Eryk bowed in shame, foolishly he got caught in the trap of the speech of Chief Charles. "I'm going to Gaea huh, Chief?" without an answer from Chief Charles, he waltzed into where Gaea's room was, knocking on the door. "Gaea is me" he said softly; there was no answer so he opened it, there was no one. "Hm.." Maybe Gaea went to the cafeteria? Remember this is lunch hour.

Eryk walked to the cafeteria, the police still holding a bouquet of flowers in his hand, but when the bouquet fell after his eyes saw Gaea eating with a young man he knew very well. "Kervyn!?"

The called look. "Oh, hey... Rey!" call Kervyn scoffing when you say Rey's name. "Sit down, man."

Gaea. "Sir Rey there are two!?" shocks shouts.

Kervyn laughed a little. "You fooled my disguise, little girl" he said.

Eryk immediately approached the table where Kervyn and Gaea were. "You're all right? Disguised so I'm K—Key." he freaked out a little bit about a suitable name for Kervyn so called out what came to his mind: Key.

"Key," said Gaea tilting her head innocently.

Eryk who saw it was very eager to pinch the cheek of Gaea who is cute now. "He's my brother, Gaea. His name is Key."

Kervyn propped up with a relaxed chin. "Yes Gaea, I'm sorry I tricked you by disguising yourself as Rey" he regretted without any guilt at all. "Even though I'm sure there's one more person who's tricking you.." he glances his young brown eyes at Eryk.

Eryk coughed, upset that he threw a punch at Kervyn which unfortunately failed, because his brother avoided it. "You!"

Kervyn laughed triumphantly. "You won't be able to catch me, Mister Enzo." he sneered with sharp eyes.

Eryk was getting emotional, his name was hard-earned Kervyn even casually said their surnames. "You're seta—"

"That's enough!" exclaimed Gaea with all her might until her face turned red. "Please don't fight anymore!"

Eryk who wanted to teach Kervyn another lesson stopped, he glanced at Gaea who on the edge of his eyes began to gather tears. "It's your fault, Key!" emotional shouting.

"You're the one who made the noise so you're the one who made her cry, Mister Enzo." Kervyn relaxed back, not to blame.

Eryk clenched his hands; again Kervyn mentioned their surnames, why hide their real names if Gaea knew their surnames?

Eryk himself was surprised to hear Gaea dare to rule himself, without protest he sat in front of the little girl.

'I am not a pedophile. I'm not... but Gaea—'s face'

Gaea glanced at Kervyn who was still reluctant to sit down. "Key."

Kervyn still didn't comply.

"Key!" scream Gaea emotion.

Kervyn finally wanted to not out of fear, but did not like to hear screams.

"Good."

Eryk felt the sweet Gaea slowly turning into a man, what was the result of playing with him and Rainer?

"Shake hands and apologize" Gaea said.

Eryk and Kervyn glanced at each other, before throwing their faces away later.

"No need" they said at the same time.

"I cry, huh?" Gaea threatens to panic Eryk and Kervyn, and if Gaea cries, the entire police force will advise them both.

Eryk and Kervyn glanced at each other again, before then reaching out to each other and shaking hands while saying. "Sorry."

Gaea clapped her hands.

Eryk exhaled.

"Eryk—"

"Hu—h?" Eryk slowly opened his eyes that felt heavy.

"Eryk—"

"Hm—" Eryk blinked his eyes to focus his eyes, "Ferdinand?"

Ferdinand nodded. "We're home."

Eryk yawned small, with consciousness still not fully recovered, he walked out of the car, entering his house slowly.

"Welcome home." Gaea greeted with a wide smile.

"You." Eryk muttered; why did the young woman disturb his dream? It was enough in the real world that he was tormented by Gaea's stubbornness.

"You look tired" Gaea said after noticing Eryk.

Eryk raised his eyebrows. "Rather than talking about me it's better to get ready."

Gaea's eyes widened. "Prepared?"

Eryk nodded. "You're going to practice shooting or archery now."

"Deal tomorrow not now!" said Gaea panicked, since it had not occurred to him at all, engrossed in eating and watching movies with Alex and the Star.

"Lucky, I don't care. You're coming with me now." said Eryk coldly.

Gaea wanted to say again but, Eryk had already raised his body, putting it on Eryk's left shoulder like a rice shoulder. "What are you doing!? Hey, Young Master let go!" he rattled Eryk's back.

Eryk didn't care, kept walking, lifted Gaea the warm-up count.

I am still confused as visual Rainer considering the physical he was inspired by the character of the otome game hp that I play:(but I try to run away so you can imagine him too
