Since Rainer was on a break, Eryk decided to take care of the matter head-on. Before the sport, he had already sent investigations of his men to check surveillance camera footage at his home and some on the public road leading to his home.

Eryk's chances compared to fifty if it's true that the person who kidnapped Katherine is Kervyn considering that her siblings know the points of the surveillance cameras in her house because they have lived here.

Eryk tidied his hair with a soft comb, after tidying up, he put on his sunglasses, then walked out of his room, when he went down the stairs, he said, there was Gaea and Alex who eagerly took orders for pizza and some junk food, they opened it in the living room.

After years of implementing the rule there should be no ready-to-eat food, it should be destroyed because of a woman.

Eryk did not believe it at all.

"I know you can persuade Eryk, Ge! You are reliable!" Alex complimented while holding a slice of pizza.

Gaea also picked up a slice of pizza as well, devouring it with a happy look on her face. "I haven't had pizza in a long time! It was so good like the last time I tried it!"

Eryk exhaled to see Gaea's expression that was so happy just because a slice of pizza made his brain bring out the memories he had been harboring all this time.

"Eryk, you want to?"

Eryk was surprised to see the plate containing one slice of pizza in front of him, he glanced at Gaea who looked at him expectantly. Again. His brain showed me those memories.

Eryk folded his hands in front of his chest irritated. This day he just kept silent under the tree watching the movements of a nine-year-old little girl who just sat on the swing without wanting to play with other children.

Eryk still does not believe his father, Xander tells him to become a Bodyguard or if it is necessary to befriend the little girl so that the trauma is gone.

Eryk certainly did not want to, the deal with his father just being a Bodyguard instead of friends. He made friends with a child a bad idea, how can he who is fourteen years old play swings, slides or other childish things? Where would he put his face if Kervyn, Alex and Lola saw him?

Eryk was in disguise, his blonde hair was painted black and he always wore a mask avoiding being recognized by his friend or family, but extra still necessary, his name was also changed to Rey, the opposite name of his real name, Eryk.

Eryk glanced again at the long brown-haired little girl in the second pigtail still sitting on the swing with her face bowed blankly.

Lying if Eryk did not feel sympathy; still a child had to face the reality of his parents being killed in plain sight, certainly a terrible experience, he said, the little girl's body definitely couldn't help its shock so even though it had been a week since, the little girl was unwilling to talk to anyone including herself.

Eryk straightened his body when he saw the little girl walking up to him in slow steps, when until the little girl held his hand gently. As per the police watching, holding hands was a clue the girl wanted to return to her room.

'Should I speak to him?' eryk said in his heart.

The little girl pulled his hand telling him to leave immediately.

Eryk exhaled, then aligned his face with the little girl. "Do you want to keep not talking to me, Gaea?" tanyanya gently.

Gaea's green eyes, which had only been directed downwards, looked at Eryk's blue eyes for the first time, and the innocence there was no longer sadness.

Eryk himself was amazed by Gaea's green eyes, for the first time he saw eye color as beautiful as that, green eyes like emerald—ia stone just look in the book, did not expect it would be more beautiful to see it directly, "Just calling my name I'm so happy Gaea." he said.

But the little girl named Gaea just saw it without any sign of wanting to open her tiny lips.

Eryk still wouldn't give up, "You'd rather break my heart, Gaea?" tanyanya pretended to be sad.

Gaea shook her head.

"Then try saying, not saying my name is okay" said Eryk.

Silent...

Eryk felt really played with, "Well you really broke Rey's fragile heart, I'm gone," he said, letting go of their hands and walking in, but was quickly blocked by Gaea by holding her hand again.

Gaea looked at him with a face full of hope, not wanting to be left behind.

Eryk smiled faintly, "So?"—ia was sure Gaea would mention her name this time.

Gaea opened her tiny lips making Eryk's hopes rise even more.

Seconds by seconds passed.

Eryk exhaled, "Alright, we go back inside" he said.

Why would he behave childishly just want his name called by Gaea.

Eryk guides Gaea inside the police station precisely, to a room called 'room', Gaea runs small inside. He exhaled his breath.

Gaea was more excited to go back to the room than to chat with him.

Eryk was stupefied; had he just been disappointed by Gaea?

Eryk immediately walked away from the room where Gaea was, wanting to hurry home before his brain thought nothing of it. But when he wanted to get out, he was dismissed by a voice that was familiar to him.

"Eryk, are you going home yet?" said one of the policemen who was sitting on a chair.

Eryk turned his head, "Ah, yes, I want to go back, Chief Charles," and Eryk hoped his father would keep his promise to buy him a car because it had become Gaea's Bodyguard.

The Chief named Charles nodded, "How is it? Can you get Gaea to talk?"

Eryk shook his head, "I think Gaea is still traumatized."

"Maybe you were too pushy with Gaea, Eryk" Chief Charles said. "You can try again tomorrow."

"No!" Eryk refused hard. "I'm not going to try it" he continued, all day is enough, it's fun to skip school but if you just keep quiet to see Gaea sitting better school.

"Have you talked to your father about this?" Chief Charles asked.

"I'll be after home" said Eryk. "Today's fun but serving as a Bodyguard doesn't suit me."

"Well Eryk if it's your decision, we'll find a new Bodyguard" Chief Charles said, extending his hand. "It's good to work with you, Eryk."

Eryk welcomed her with pleasure, "Sama-sama, Chief," he said. "If you may ask, what is my father's relationship with Gaea?"

Ever since his father offered him this Bodyguard job, Eryk had been unceasingly thinking about it, he knew his father was a good-natured man, adopting Lola and Alex as examples of it. However, Eryk never once saw his father involved with the family of scientists. His father was a businessman.

"Your father and Gaea's parents are close relatives, that's all we can tell you, Eryk" Chief Charles said.

Eryk furrowed his brows irritated, it was certain that people would treat him like a child, he was an adult, he was fourteen! He exhaled, if the police do not want to tell in detail, he will find out for himself, after getting the car of course, "I came home, yes."

"Be careful Eryk."

"Always."

"Eryk?" Gaea tilted her head in surprise with Eryk's unusual silence. "You okay?"

Eryk shook his head quickly, thinking of it. "I'm always fine, Gaea," she said coldly hiding her shy feelings.

Gaea narrowed her eyes. "So? Won't you?"

"You're kidding me, huh? Where do I want, food that just ruins my beautiful body" said Eryk disdainfully away.

"It's a favor." said Gaea; is it sinful to occasionally eat ready meals?

Eryk did not pay attention to that, choosing to walk out of his house, there was already parked his personal car—inside there Ferdinand sat in the driving seat. He thought for a moment. "I'm driving."

Ferdinand surprised. "You sure, Eryk?"

Eryk nodded, and Ferdinand got out of the car to switch positions in the seat beside the wheel, he went inside without turning to Gaea who was outside, and running the pace of his car.

'I will not allow myself to be carried away by my past with Gaea.' Eryk said in his heart.

Eryk opened the car glass so he could breathe fresh air, also clearing his mind of the problem.

It's natural to remember the past if they lived together, right?
