Shhhh... It's my secret

Shhhh... It's my secret
08. New Students (1)

Gazelle asks Mr. Liam to drop her off in front of the school gate. Rumors about him being a chauffeur's son were apparently very useful to Gazelle. Because even though he got off the luxury car, people didn't care much about him.

There were still five minutes left before the school bell started, Gazelle walked quickly to the headmaster's room on the second floor of this school building.

The door of the room was still closed when Gazelle got there. But Gazelle knows that Frank has arrived since. Gazelle raised her hand intending to knock on the door, but suddenly the door opened from within.

Seeing the door open Gazelle was shocked, apparently someone would come out he thought. Gazelle shifted to the side to give space so as not to collide with each other with the person who was about to come out.

Somebody's out, that guy's Lucas. Gazelle was slightly jolted at the figure but he kept trying to calm down and act as if he did not care.

Lucas who had just walked out of the principal's room was also a little shocked. He did not know that there was someone, none other than Gazelle, standing at the door. He looked for a moment at the girl and left.

"How could he have met Mr. Frank did he tell you everything? It doesn't matter if Frank is mad at me. But does Lucas know who I am now? Ah no way! Seeing him walk past me means he doesn't know who I am yet." That was what Gazelle thought before he finally stepped in.

Gazelle's goal in the headmaster's room was to deliver the black box that had been left by his grandfather and also to apologize to Mr. Frank. Gazelle had no idea he was going to cross paths with Lucas at this place.

Gazelle sat on the sofa in the middle of the room after the headmaster let her sit down.

"Mr Thomas called me, he said there's something you want to talk to me about, what's that?" frank asked as he watched Gazelle's guilty face from behind his desk.

Frank found out that what happened at the school gate this morning was Gazelle. But he did not want to judge the girl. He wanted to see his sincerity when he apologized.

Gazelle got up from her seat and walked over to Frank's desk. "I want to apologize sir," he said slowly. He knew he was wrong, even though he didn't feel guilty.

"What about this morning? Looks like you already know him. Lucas Theodore I mean. Uhm... I'm not gonna raise this problem, but I don't want this thing to happen again" Frank explained later.

"Well sir," Gazelle lowered her head a sign that she understood. Or rather pretend to understand. Frank is the same person as Thomas. People who won't let anyone break the rules of this school. So if this time he let the matter go there was certainly something he wanted from Gazelle and Gazelle knew it.

"Then from now on if you really apologize then you have to bandage it" Frank told Gazelle. His voice was full of decisiveness.

Somehow for Gazelle the last words Frank spoke seemed endless, his words hanging. He realized there was another meaning to those words.

"Well sir," Gazelle said politely, not wanting to ask again.

In Frank's eyes, even though he was being polite so but he knew very well what was on Gazelle's mind. Gazelle is not a man who will obey the will of others if he has not achieved his goals. So if this time he apologizes and admits his mistake does not mean he will not repeat it.

Frank also knows Gazelle isn't the one who breaks the rules for no reason. Gazelle has been punished several times but there is always a reason behind it. And after meeting Lucas, Frank finds out why Gazelle bullied him on his first day.

Frank hopes Gazelle will catch the words he says. Because if he catches his point then neither Gazelle nor Lucas will be the ones to worry about anymore.

So Frank indirectly hopes Gazelle is the one who can change Lucas and Lucas will help Gazelle.

"Well, go back to class. Class is about to begin," Frank orders him.

Gazelle leaves the principal's room. He walked to his classroom thinking about Frank's words. "How to help the boy. Helping that difficult word how about so make him submit hihihi," Gazelle smiled to herself imagining it.

...----------------...

The school bell rang, the students rushed into their respective classes, not least Gazelle. The classroom corridor on each floor of the building that was bustling with students was now silent.

The first lesson in Gazelle class is science but it has not yet begun because the teacher who will teach has not yet entered the classroom. The class became rowdy.

He did not care about the noise made by his friends. It's not that he doesn't have friends to tell stories with, it's just that he prefers to be quiet when there's nothing important he wants to say to his friends and they all know that.

Drrkkk! The sound of the classroom door shifting and opening. A man in his 40s with thick glasses and almost no hair entered the classroom. The man is Mr. Wilmar, a science teacher whose presence has been awaited since.

Shortly enter also a tail behind Mr. Wilmar. That man is Lucas. The class that had been quiet for a moment because Mr. Wilmar entered immediately turned rowdy again after seeing the arrival of Lucas. All the students cheered.

Nah! Nah! Nah! Mr. Wilmar smashed an iron ruler into his desk. "Mr ask all of you to calm down" he then shouted.

The class was a little quiet, leaving only small whispers among the female students. Lucas did not seem too concerned even a little uncomfortable when he was the center of attention. His gaze was cold and his mouth was tightly locked.

"Today we have a new friend. Let's introduce yourself, "let's tell Mr. Wilmar to Lucas.

Lucas simply stared and circulated his gaze to the rest of the people without any intention of introducing himself. The students had closed their mouths and put up ears waiting for him to introduce a name.

"Can I sit in my chair now?" lucas asked flatly to Mr. Wilmar after a moment of silence.

Hearing Lucas's question just now left all the students in shock. Although slowly they began to criticize Lucas's behavior.

"Oh!!" Mr. Wilmar was shocked but he understood and then he took over. "Our friend's name is Lucas. Lucas you can sit there, "appoint Mr. Wilmar on an empty bench in the back once by the window, exactly two benches behind Gazelle.

"Alright now we just start our lessons," exclaimed mr. Wilmar invites all students to focus on the teaching and learning process. "Before you will call your names one by one."

Lucas, who had just sat on his stool, began to sharpen his ears when Mr. Wilmar would call out the names of all the students. He was eager to find the owner of the name he remembered so well this morning.

Meanwhile Gazelle was about to take out a stationery from inside her bag. When he opened his bag he was surprised to see the paper bag was still in his bag. "How's this? I forgot to give this thing to Mr. Frank, "his mind.

Gazelle rushed to get the paper bag and stood up. He asked Mr. Wilmar for permission to leave the class because there was something he wanted to give to the principal. Mr. Wilmar allowed it.

Mr. Wilmar continued to pass on the names of the students. When he arrived at Gazelle's name, he no longer called Gazelle's name but simply ticked the box next to Gazelle's name.

Lucas leaned his body on the chair. Mr. Wilmar has finished passing on the names of the students. Of all the names that were called, none of Gazelle's names were mentioned, so Lucas looked disappointed. "So he's not in class with me?" ask Lucas to himself.

...----------------...

15 Minutes ago before the lesson started.

Lucas was sitting in the principal's room waiting for Frank to come. Frank soon popped his nose. He was shocked to see Lucas sitting on the sofa waiting for him.

"Have you come?" frank asks the conversation and takes a seat in front of Lucas.

Lucas was silent and had no intention of answering Frank's question. He crossed one leg and hooked his fingers on his lap.

"How's this place what's your first impression?" asked Frank to try to melt the atmosphere.

"Well, for people who have been waiting for more than an hour of your arrival, what do you think I should give the impression?" Lucas asked back. His cold words were full of emotions.

Frank took a deep breath. He knew the cause of the child's anger. School security told Frank about the incident this morning at the school gate.

"Father hope you like this place" Frank replied before beginning to brief Lucas.
