Shhhh... It's my secret

Shhhh... It's my secret
06. Gazelle

Gazelle enters Thomas Edison's residence, after a half-hour bus ride, and finally arrives at his home, his real home.

...----------------...

Who is Gazelle? He is the grandson of Thomas Edison. Grandson of the WhiteSwan foundation owner. The grandson who will inherit all the wealth that Thomas Edison has.

Thomas Edison had only one daughter, Elizabeth Edison, whose daughter was not interested in matters related to foundation management or company ownership. Her daughter rejected her father's idea to run the foundation. Therefore Thomas Edison will give all his relics to Gazelle.

Well of course the girl will also definitely refuse. Princess Elizabeth Edison inherited her mother's genes perfectly. Not only do they love the same things, they hate the same things. For Gazelle, her mother was her role model in living life. He even has a dream to continue the path of life chosen by his mother.

So what did Elizabeth do? Something unusual of course. He is a secret agent, a very dangerous and death-defying job. A job that no second-generation conglomerate would choose.

But her love for her job, which exceeded even her love for her husband, Gregory Clifford, never made Elizabeth want to quit her job and enjoy the frenzy of the world like the daughter of a conglomerate.

Elizabeth's own husband was someone who worked in the same field as her. The difference is of course Elizabeth is working behind the scenes at the moment while Greg is working as a field agent.

Not that Elizabeth was never a field agent. But since his marriage to Greg, Greg has loved his wife as much as he loves his job asking Elizabeth to work behind the scenes. At first, of course, Elizabeth refused, but the presence of Greg junior in her womb made Elizabeth accept her husband's decision.

He may love his job, but his instincts make him subconsciously love the little creature that is now languishing in his body, a creature whose face he has never even seen at all. Her adventurer soul gave in to her maternal instinct.

Now the little creature has reached adolescence. Gazelle is in her final year of high school. About half a year will graduate and will continue his education to a higher level.

As parents, Elizabeth and Gregory certainly wanted Gazelle to choose the life path that had unfolded before her. Likewise for Thomas, he wanted the boy to go the path he had chosen for him.

But reality is not always as beautiful as hope. For Gazelle, from childhood until today, the work her mother and father did was the work and life path she dreamed of the most in this world. There was nothing more beautiful to her than being a secret agent who was mysterious and lived like a shadow.

Although it is undeniable, since childhood the father and mother are not even the same as other parents who have enough time with their children. Gazelle's parents always travel, even in one year can be counted in a matter of fingers time for him to gather family.

Since childhood Thomas was always there beside him, his grandfather who loved him very much. She raised Gazelle like the daughter of the sole heir to the kingdom. He taught me everything Gazelle would need to replace him later.

But nevertheless, everything related to his mother's father that always makes his heart pounding and passionate. He was not even interested in what his grandfather was doing.

Thomas Edison was a man who loved his work very much, he devoted almost his entire life to building this foundation to become as great as it is today.

His soul was excited whenever he was busy with his work, but he realized that his body could not be as strong as it used to be. Age made him realize that it was time for someone to replace him.

But his only daughter chose a different path with him. Not that he wasn't against it but he didn't want to be a selfish parent.

Thomas let his children succeed on the path they made themselves, because for him it was the most beautiful thing that happened when he became a parent. Their happiness was something priceless to him.

Even when Gazelle, the only family to make his days feel lonely, begins to express his opinion for the first time, Thomas is powerless to oppose it.

At that time Gazelle had just graduated from her Junior High. Gazelle who never even went anywhere without his personal driver stated he wanted to get out of the house.

Of course Thomas looked in shock at Gazelle at the time. He did not think that the little girl had grown up so quickly. Once again in his life he witnessed how a new path would unfold before him.

Thomas agreed, because he knew that blood was thicker than water, there was no point in obstructing his grandson's will if he looked at his mother's disposition.

It's just that he gave Gazelle the condition that one day he would be made his heir. He did not want to be late as when he gave up the foundation when Elizabeth had been in the job, which led to failure.

The decision Gazelle made to live independently after graduating from Junior High was a decision she had thought through. The decision he made was the first step to living like his mother and father.

Gazelle has never revealed who he really is to his friends. For that reason it was even more perfect for him if he did not live in his grandfather's house, so he thought.

Gazelle is not an introvert who can't socialize. He just wanted to be considered mysterious, so he never really had close friends. In addition, at school he never asked his driver to drive him to the front of the school.

Once upon a time a friend saw him get off his luxury car when he was about to go to the course. He simply told his friend that the car was his master's car, while the driver was his father. Of course quickly rumors that Gazelle turned out to be the son of a driver spread.

Until now no one had ever known who Gazelle really was, they only knew that Gazelle was the son of the driver in the Thomas Edison family.

...----------------...

That morning Thomas was sitting in the morning air in a white chair inside his glass house staring at the tablet on his lap. He is examining several reports regarding the foundation.

A cup of warm coffee and some sweet cakes were served on a matching round glass table next to his seat.

The sound of footsteps entered the greenhouse and drew closer to him. He knows who's coming. Granddaughter, Gazelle.

A gardener who was busy cleaning the weeds immediately resigned when he saw Gazelle had approached his Grandfather.

"Good morning" Gazelle said, hugging her grandfather from behind. He landed his kiss on the old man's cheek and quickly took his seat in the empty seat next to Thomas.

"Eh." Thomas turned off the tablet and put it on the table. "You look happy, what's it about to meet Grandpa?" she said calmly as she peeked at Gazelle from behind her glasses.

"Of course, grandfather, I miss grandfather so much." Gazelle sounds happy.

"really?" Thomas took off his glasses and placed them on his tablet. "It doesn't sound like it" Thomas continued, closing his eyes.

"Where possible, you know I've always wanted to see you" Gazelle replied hurriedly.

"Ehmmm... When did you last come here? Do you remember?" ask Thomas suddenly.

Gazelle knew that her grandfather was angry with her. How could Thomas not be angry. Since Gazelle lived apart from him, Gazelle rarely visited him.

Gazelle always had a reason to refuse to come to see her grandfather. Even if Thomas were to come to see him, he also refused. She always said that maybe Rosie would feel sad because she thought Rosie was unable to take care of Gazelle to the extent that grandfather had to meet her at Rosie's house.

"I-that was two months ago it seemed like a cake.., "he said quietly while playing with his hair. He turned his gaze to the beautiful flowers around him not daring to look at his grandfather's face.

"Haaah... I really couldn't hope for more" Thomas said, taking a deep breath. "Two months ago, you came because of that. This time you came for the same reason." Thomas stood up from his seat.

Gazelle who was shocked to see her grandfather standing up, immediately quickly took a step beside her grandfather. Gazelle clasped her hands on her grandfather's arms while smiling.

"Grandfather, I promise I'll come here often, okay?" Gazelle continued to seduce her grandfather as she walked into the house and left the greenhouse in silence.
