SAWMILL

SAWMILL
53. SOLIKIN'S SICK

While Burhan was taking a bath I could check the condition of the backyard, especially the place where his sacred tomb is located.

Strange as well, the soil around here is nothing to water, but why the grave soil is wet, even similar to a new grave.

All of this is getting weird and more awkward, I have to go to the next village to find Solikin.

I'm sure behind all this there is something to do with Solikin and Burhan, they're both not happy with each other, but I think Solikin is not happy with me either.

After being satisfied with my observation, I went back into the house again, and it happened that Burhan had finished bathing, his face was no longer pale.

“Pak Agus, let's now just go to the village next to the pack, all looking for stalls for breakfast”

“Iya mas, please lock the house first, we should basically try to leave the house in a locked”

After everything was done, we both walked down the river which this morning the water seemed calm…

There was no talk between me and Burhan, because I was still thinking about what was strange in the house, while Agus was somehow thinking about what.

Until we crossed the river there was no talk at all. But I will try to talk to Burhan, pity him with this situation.

“Mas Burhan, frankly later in the afternoon I have to go to the hospital again to replace the bandage”

“But I can't leave Burhan mas like this, what do you think of Burhan mas?”

“Pak Agus will be back at what time sir, if not too late I will wait sir, but if you return in the morning I ask you gentlemen who work there”

“Not until night kok mas, yesterday it was because there was something on my wound, and that night also I went straight to the ER”

I told Burhan what happened to my wound, and what kind of treatment the doctor gave me there.

But obviously I won't tell you that I slept in Tina's house.

What I'm telling you is all about my rotting wound.

“Gruesome also sir, how could it be like that yes wound sir?”

“Eat him mas, later that afternoon Hendra's doctor practices, so he who will remove the bandage all of you give the medicine”

Not long after the village next to the river had been seen.Burhan and I sped up the footsteps to reach the village as soon as possible.

A deserted village as most of its inhabitants farm

“We go directly to Solikin sir's house, because he is the one who regulates the workers at home”

*****

“Assalamualaikum.. Assalamualaikum.

There was no response to the greeting I said, whether the house was empty or how, or maybe it was too early to visit Mr. Solikin's house.

“Permissiii.. Assalamualaikum...”.

“It looks like this house is empty sir, there is no authorization at all from inside the house , uh maybe you know the other workers' house?”

“I do not know mas. because all I know is the house of Mr. Solikin and another deceased worker house named Pak Karyo”

“Or we go to Tugiyem's mother's house just mas, we ask him just”

“Try to call again sir, who knows who is in this house is behind and do not hear greetings Mr. Agus”

“Ya wis ita try again mas”

“Permissiii.. Assalamualaikum...”.

I wonder what happened to Solikin, usually he was the most active in work, but since Burhan he suddenly acted very dislike of Burhan.

Even today no one is coming to work, and even his house seems to be empty.

“Waalaikumsalam warahmatullahi wabarakatuh...” The voice of the woman from inside the house

“That sir, someone answered, maybe it's his wife sir?”

I didn't respond to Burhan's words, wong was clearly the one who answered why he insisted on the question

The front door of Mr. Solikin's house which had been closed was now open a little.

“Who are you... Who are these fathers looking for?” ask the old woman who was peeking behind the door of her house

“I Agus bu, I take care of the sawmill house where Mr. Solikin works”

“Bapak no bu?”

“Oh sir Agus... nganu sir, my husband is sick, from last night can not get up from his sleep”.

“I don't know sir, because he just complains his chest hurts when made to wake up from his sleep”

“What is not taken to the treatment hall only ma'am? let me take you ma'am, my mumpung is here”

“Not sir, said my husband he does not want to be checked by a doctor, my husband said that the pain will heal by itself”

“Say only need a short break pak”

“Oh that's why no one goes to work ma'am. Eh usually if there is an illness or anything, someone tells us”

“Tadi mornings wito that there sir, but the sawmill house in a state of cover, many times mast WIto call pak Agus and Burhan, but there is no sahutan at all”

“Oh sorry mom, maybe we overslept, because last night we slept late”

“What has Solikin been offered for treatment bu?”

“Already sir, but still do not want, tomorrow he has healed kok pak”

“Ya already then, we say bu” first

Why is Solikin suddenly sick? and why did it happen last night?

Last night when my wound was licked by a demon in the woods or last night when I was having a weird dream?

There is something strange about this Solikin sir, but do I have to relate my pain to my dream last night? is it that easy to accuse Mr. Solikin of being behind all this?

No. Before it's all clear I can't be so prejudiced to the old man. For sure I will find someone who understands this kind of world.

“Pak Agus.... is Pak Agus thinking the same as me?”

“Think what mas, I don't think trial anything kok”

“Ah... what sir Agus felt that mr. Solikin it....”.

“That's what.....he who did that weird, that's what you thought?” was

“I..iya sir...”.

“No... I never thought like that mas Burhan, that's his name is bad to think. Before all clear abstinence we think that is not not”

I began to feel dislike for Burhan, he began to relate the dislike of Solikin to him with his dreams and with the wounds I suffered.

I know that Solikin does not like Burhan, but Burhan does not necessarily have to accuse no-no to Solikin.

“Let's find a meal first sir, breakfast first so that our brains can think”

“Do not, we better go to Tugiyem's house first to tell you that today no one works at the sawmill”

“Oh yes mas, later if you meet Bu Tugiyem do not tell me if I am from the hospital or I stay in the hospital, because he is the person always wants to know something”

“Iya sir, I will not tell kok” he replied in a less pleasant tone , not as usual

I don't care what Burhan says, he's probably starving, but all I think about is not getting Tugiyem to make food for the workers' lunch.

In the afternoon I also have to report to Mr. Wandi and the big boss, I will match information from Mr. Wandi first, because it seems he knows something and is still hidden until now.

After walking not too far, finally the grocery store that belonged to Bu Tugiyem was in sight.

I know that Burhan will ask which house Bu Tugiyem or other questions, but frankly with him pretentious to express his opinion about who did this has made me less like it.

“Assalamualaikum to Tugiyem”

Coincidentally Tugiyem's mom was in front of her stall, she was cleaning up some merchandise

“Waalaikumsalam nak Agus.wah there is news what this is kok early in the morning already here”.

“I just want to tell you about Mr. Solikin who is sick ma'am, so today no one works at the sawmill”

“Iya nak Agus, this morning Wito has been here, he also told me that Solikin is sick”

“Now what is the chest of Agus? is it good or not?”

“It's better ma'am, but I went to the doctor to treat, because the wound was bleeding, but now it's getting better”

I show you the bandage on my chest, the bandage that still has a little blood spot, well so he does not ask questions. Anyway, so that Burhan doesn't talk first about me and Tina either.

“Hmmm severe it son, it should be replaced bandage, because there is already blood”

“Later in the afternoon I went to the hospital again ma'am, because there was a doctor who handled it
