Level Up! Martial Technique

Level Up! Martial Technique
The One Now Called Qilin [4]

A light breeze blew in the Azure Sect. The hot temperatures of summer have started to decline over the past few weeks, signaling the season will soon change. Yu Jian seemed to enjoy his time while walking on the path while trying to absorb the Qi while walking.

“Sial, physical exercise and absorbing Qi at one time is very difficult. But want how else, this is a way to quickly enlarge my small Qi pool because at a young age does not absorb Qi and enlarge its capacity.” Yu Jian complained.

In general, children who will become martial arts experts will begin to train their physiques since childhood. After that it absorbs Qi because at that age the Qi pool is easier to develop. On the other hand Yu Jian went through that period as it moved away from the martial world.

Other than trying to expand the capacity of his Qi pool, Yu Jian kept up his routine. Train and strengthen the physical foundation in the morning, deepen the techniques of taekwondo and karate to the advanced stage, and at night absorb Qi.

While continuing to walk at once absorbing the Qi, Yu Jian was unaware if he had already reached his destination. It looks like an old building is still standing in front of him. Its height was equivalent to a four-story building, it was the martial library of the Azure Sect. Yu JIan stepped in for the first time to that place.

He found the shelves and piles of martial books neatly arranged. Some were seen lying and scattered on the floor as it was being used by some disciples to learn martial techniques. Broadly speaking the place is a neat place.

The first floor is open to the public and can be accessed by anyone. The second floor was awarded only to those with 50 sect exchange points, these points were obtained from completion of sect missions or achievements. The third floor could only be accessed by those who became special disciples. The fourth floor could only be used by teachers, elders, sect heads. However the fourth floor had some exceptions with special permits.

Yu Jian passed through the first floor and walked towards the stairs to go to the third floor. When he was on the second floor he was not immediately faced with access stairs to the third floor so he went around first.

When he found the third floor he immediately rushed up without seeing the technique on that floor first. The third floor was filled with advanced martial techniques. Sword techniques, spears, whips, body strengthening, greatswords, formations, talismans, even sound martial arts.

Although he had been there for a few minutes, Yu Jian did not find any books that looked interesting at all. He then recalled Yi Wei's words which required him to strengthen his foundation even further. So Yu Jian decided to go to the second floor.

When he had just arrived on the second floor, Yu Jian had accidentally bumped into someone who was only a inch tall. It was an appearance that he had not encountered since entering this sect. Jeans, a white T-shirt and a jacket. It also appeared that long blonde hair that would make Yu Jian remember the girls in his old world. Since reincarnating he had only seen a girl who put in that much effort in dressing like a popular child.

“Aduh, sorry. Wow. Qilin. I'm your fan!”

The girl grabbed onto Yu Jian's arm and endured it with energy. Really similar to the cheerful all-round girl of the modern world.

“Qi-Qilin? Also why are you a fan of mine?” Yu Jian was confused.

“Qilin... I mean, you're Yu Jian from Yang City right? Yu Jian who developed a new standard of dress there? I really, really like the innovation you're doing.”

The shaman between the two grew more intense to the point that Yu Jian felt his hand would be dislodged if he continued to let it. Yu Jian immediately withdrew his hand and kept his distance from the girl.

“O-Oh, so yes. Good if you like.”

“Truely too, not my guts. Introduce, my name is Xia Wu, the 1.” level student the girl introduced herself.

“You may already know, but my name is Yu Jian. Greetings also.”

The girl did not stop there. He followed Yu Jian and asked about the development of the style of dress that Yu Jian brought to his city. To the extent that Yu Jian was not focused on finding the martial technique he needed. In the end Xia Wun did not let go of it just like that and seemed to be getting more and more interested, so Yu Jian decided to spend some time talking to Xia Wu.

The two walked out of the library and walked wherever the feet of the two stepped. Xia Wu was really active and described the girl who had a cat-like curiosity. Although initially disturbed the more he spoke the more Yu Jian realized the two had the same vision in fashion.

“Ah... Finally met too! I'm tired of going around like a squirrel and smashing some roofs while jumping in search of you.”

Another girl appeared, her height was now as thick as Yu Jian's ears. His appearance somewhat surprised Yu Jian. The clothes appear slightly open at the bottom, similar to a martial dress with a skirt above the knee. A sword was also seen hanging on the side of his body. Like a combination of the typical martial arts clothes and the openness of modern clothes.

“What's Li Jia?” asked Xia Wu.

“What do you mean? I am in charge of escorting you.” Li Jia replied.

“Li Jia? Ah Li Jia, you were the one who helped me with hao Chen back then huh?” Yu Jian tried to be sure.

“Majority your rescue was done by me actually, but yes it was me.” Li Jia did not like Hao Chen to be included in the person who contributed when only he was carrying Yu Jian on his back.

“Then I want to thank you for your help back then. You can call me if you need help.” Yu Jian offered his services.

Li Jia did not directly answer Yu Jian's offer. He only smiled as Yu Jian said that.

“Then... I'm in need of an opponent to practice my martial techniques. Yu Jian would help me, right?” Li Jia instantly used the ticket that Yu Jian had given her back then as well.

“Eh duel? Yeah I don't think it's a problem, for the sake of my life's savior.”

Li Jia immediately pulled Yu Jian's arm and with his body-lightening technique he moved to drag Yu Jian towards the training arena and dueled. His pull was so powerful that Yu Jian could not believe it was coming out of such a small body. Li Jia also left Xia Wu whom he was supposed to be guarding at the moment.

Once in the arena, the first thing Li Jia did was to throw Yu Jian over the arena violently and kick down everyone who was training in the arena at will. Yu Jian held onto his head that was bumped in the arena, now he questioned his decision in accepting this duel.

“Alright! Then get ready, we'll start. Three.... Two... One... Start!” Li Jia started without letting Yu Jian really prepare.

With a wooden sword in his right hand Li Jia aimed a slash at Yu Jian's stomach. Suddenly Yu Jian dodged him as fast as he could. However while dodging to the side, the direction of the attack from Li Jia's sword quickly changed direction and hit his stomach.

Yu Jian crashed five meters away in a state that could maintain his balance. It was not finished processing the situation Li Jia was in front of him yet. This time he attacked Yu Jian with several attacks at once. Yu Jian only managed to avoid one of them and the rest managed to land on his body.

The entire body of even Yu Jian's bones felt a scream as Li Jia managed to land a single strike on him. Yu Jian could not cope with Li Jia's swift and brutal attack with his present condition. Li Jia did not even let Yu Jian do the horses or prepare to give an attack. Since the foundation of taekwondo and its karate required the horses before they were released, Yu Jian who lost in terms of speed felt aggrieved.

“I think in terms of pure strength he is able to fight three or more of me at once.”

Yu Jian let a few attacks on him while he focused on flowing Qi throughout his body. Yu Jian used the ikazuchi to strengthen his physique and speed. Thanks to that Yu Jian managed to dodge the incoming attack and dealt a blow to Li Jia.

With a wooden sword in his hand Li Jia managed to fend off and give a counterattack. Yu Jian decided to take a step back with a twist of his body. At this moment Yu Jian's speed was above the wind when compared to Li Jia.

“You seem to be getting serious huh? Then I will also bring out a little more of my abilities.”

Li Jia brought out the Qi on his index and middle finger, he spread the Qi on that finger to his wooden sword. Li Jia used the Qi layer technique on his sword to amplify the damage his weapon could produce.

He smiled broadly like he was enjoying this situation and advanced swiftly towards Yu Jian. Li Jia used a technique that was much faster than the previous one. The attack given increasingly random akrenas aat his attack misses he immediately deflects the direction of his attack.

“Sial is fast. How much stamina too? Deflecting the direction of continuous attacks obviously drains a lot of energy!” yu Jian complained while giving a counterattack.

Rather than fighting Li Jia, Yu Jian decided to attack his wooden sword alone. Yu Jian directed his attack towards the wooden sword at the same point to destroy it. Li Jia was unable to do anything when his sword broke. After several powerful attacks from Yu Jian the wooden sword Li Jia was broken.

Li Jia's smile grew wider as if he was waiting for this moment. As Yu Jian loosened his alertness as Li Jia's sword was already broken, Li Jia grabbed onto Yu Jian's shirt and pulled him towards him. Li Jia then slashed out a punch right at Yu Jian's collar, many times the fist struck him in the face.

After several fists, just like Li Jia's sword, Yu Jian was unable to maintain the iazuchi technique on him. Though it was just a blow of baisa with pure physical strength without Qi. However Yu Jian felt his punch only slightly under his attack while using the ikazuchi technique.

“Time out...” said Yu Jian unclear.

“Hah? I didn't hear?”

Just as Li Jia was about to throw his punch again towards Yu Jian, Hao Chen came and restrained Li Jia and pulled her away. Outside the arena appeared Xia Wu who came while carrying Yi Wei.

“Have stopped! Yu Jian could faint if it was more than this!”

“Heh... But I still want to meg-train with Yu Jian even longer.”

“Do you think it's nice to beat up someone who's just been relearning martial arts for a month?!” Hao Chen took off his grip from Li Jia.

Li Jia seemed to be pouting as her fight with Yu Jian stopped just like that. On the other hand Yu Jian seemed relieved with a swollen face after being made into a punching bag by Li Jia.

“You should have more restraint.”

“AKu only want to try the person nicknamed Qilin. But he was amazing, if it was you you already fainted at my third blow, but Yu Jian could withstand thirteen times my blow.” Li Jia was happy.

“Ti-! Yu Jian, after this I will treat you to a meal in the city below as a form of apology for my fiancee's actions.” Hao Chen closed his eyes with his right hand while directing his head skyward.

“O.. Oh. Wentu waja. Wika waku wisa wakan dengwan kwondwisi sekwuawang.” said Yu Jian whose lips had swollen. Next to him Yi Wei was smearing Yu Jian with medicine.

Hao Chen also helped Yu Jian up and along with Li Jia, Yi Wei, and Xia Wu went out of the sect and ate in the city which could be reached just by going down the valley alone.

Our Yu Jian!

“I don't think I can let Yu Jian go too often by myself. Too many crazy people in this sect.” Yi Wei said inwardly.

“I really feel guilty with Yu Jian. It was completely finished off by Li Jia.” Hao Chen said inwardly.

“Yu Jian is really weak, but he has potential and durability that is worth polishing.” Li Jia said.

“Yu Jian is my role model and revolutionary fashion originator.” Xia Wu said.

Whatever happens I —we— must protect Yu Jian —we said Yi Wei, Hao Chen, and Xia Wu inwardly at the same time.

*I should play with Yu Jian more often*! Li Jia decided to take a different path to the other three people

On the other hand while waiting for food came Yu Jian who did not know that the four of them had his own thoughts, secretly gave his Qi to Yi Wei who was treating him. This he did because Yi Wei forbade him from giving him his Qi too often if not asked because an emergency requiring Qi might happen.
