Chapter 42. The Marriage that Broke Kirana's Heart

On the way to Jakarta, no one made a sound. All silence is busy with each other's thoughts.

The driver stared at the highway. The ringing sound of the phone broke the silence, the driver was very happy because there was a sound.

The star took his phone and saw who called him. Maya, the name on the phone screen.

The star glanced at Kirana who was staring at the scene from the car window.

Kirana had a quick glance she saw Maya's name, Kirana then threw her gaze on the car window looking at the scene to win her heart.

"Hello, Assalamualaikum." The stars answered the phone.

" ...."

"Okay, I'm on my way maybe until the afternoon."

" ...."

"Yes, thank you. Wa'alaikumsalam."

Sounded by Kirana all Star talk. I don't know what he's talking about? but why does it sound so formal, isn't that Maya? What because there is him, Bintang changed his style of speech as if talking to his work clients.

"Sir, can you walk faster. Let's get home faster. I have an important meeting." The star gave instructions to the driver.

"Ready, Sir."

Kirana sneered in her heart. "Currently, important meetings. Tell me I'd like to see Maya."

The star glanced at Kirana who was just silent. Travel is a little boring and saturated because there is no talk between them. The star refused to ask Kirana to talk, because Kirana's face looked upset. Perhaps he still wanted to stay in the village, and was annoyed to rush home.

The orange sky welcomes them in the city of Jakarta. Kirana saw her watch at half-six in the afternoon.

It was a very boring trip for Kirana. They stopped just to pray Ashar. Go straight back on the journey.

"Stop Sir!" Star stuns the car in front of the complex.

The car pulled over, on the side of the road.

"Kirana, sorry you got off here, yeah. I must leave again in a hurry."

"Oh, okay. It's okay I'm used to walking long distances." Kirana quipped the Star, she then got out of the car.

"Thank you, Kirana, sorry you used the motorcycle, yeah. Street sir."

"See, I'll reply later."

Kirana calls ojek but not to the complex but to follow the Star. Kirana wondered what made such a star, was it because of Maya?

Ojek followed the Bintang car without being realized by the Bintang or the driver. The car leads to the hospital and stops in front of the hospital lobby. The star came down, while the car again walked in search of a parking space.

Kirana immediately went down, and paid an ojek of fifty thousand rupiah. He then walked quickly after the stars.

What's he going to the hospital for, what's the meeting at the hospital?

Kirana lost track of the Star. He looked left and right looking for the stars. Just as his eyes looked towards the elevator, there was a Star before the elevator doors closed.

"She, where are you going?" muttered Kirana wonder. He then, immediately to the elevator to know what floor the elevator is going to.

Turned to the third floor, Kirana then ran towards the emergency stairs to the third floor. With a loud breath, he finally arrived.

"Where is he, huh?" Kirana looked left and right.

"ICU, who's being treated in the ICU?" this floor is for ICU.

He walked down the hall. ICU glass windows are very large some are open and some are closed curtains. The goal is that the family can see the patient, when the patient can not be visited.

Kirana looked at the name on the board hanging on the bed. Maya, that's written on that board.

Maya's eyes are closed. "Is he in a coma?" inner Kirana.

Kirana then looked at the Star and the hand that was holding Maya's hand.

The star rubbed Maya's eyes, then seemed to be coming out. Kirana immediately hid. Outside the room, Kirana saw a middle-aged man approaching the Star and spoke seriously.

They seemed to argue, The star looked confused, and was silent and then he nodded.

The father then left. The star sees Maya from a glass window. Kirana hid behind a wall peeping at the Stars.

Fifteen minutes later, two middle-aged men came with you. They talk and talk. Then there's a doctor and a nurse out they're talking seriously.

Kirana saw them all come in. His forehead is wrinkled, shouldn't many people enter the ICU room.

Kirana's approaching the window. He saw them surrounding Maya's gurney.

The star stood before the first Father he saw with the Star. They shake.

Kirana's eyes widened, her tears falling down. He now understands what's going on? There, in the ICU room, there was a marriage contract.

The doctor and nurse were witnesses. His heart is now broken. Why are stars so bad for him? Didn't he already say if the Stars love other women, he doesn't matter.

Holding her sobbing, Kirana sees her husband kissing Maya on the forehead.

Kirana couldn't take it anymore, and left. He ran nonstop towards the emergency stairs, all the way to the lobby. Kirana kept running until she came out and stopped at a big tree.

He crouched down and cried. "Change, Ambu." Kirana sobbed while calling her parents.

His heart is so tight. What should he be now?

Kirana got up and walked away, her mind blank. He's walking in no direction.

Kirana did not realize her steps were getting to the middle of the road. The car behind Kirana stopped. The driver got down and approached Kirana.

"Mba, mba, can walk to the edge." scolded the man.

Kirana looked at him with an empty look. The man was surprised to see Kirana's face looking chaotic.

He was even more surprised that this woman was the woman who helped him at that time while riding the train.

"Kira?"

"Sorry, excuse me." Kirana then pulled over and walked back.

The sound of the car horn was earthy because the man's car was blocking the road.

He then ran up to Kirana, and pulled her hand, towards her car. At the front door of the steering wheel, Kirana was forced to enter and sit down and the door was closed again.

The man ran to the other door and got him inside.

The car then drove, Kirana just pensively stared at the highway in front of her.

Kirana had just regained her senses, she then looked to the side. "Where do I want to take it? Whoareyou? Lower me!"

"Kirana calm down, you forgot me?"

"You know me? Who're you?" Kirana stared at the man beside her. He tried to dig up his memory.

He remembered the one face that had driven him home at the train station.
